How long until you saw/felt a shift in behavior?

I have heard of people using hypnosis to cure other addictions as well, such as cigarettes.

Can you share a bit more detail about your experience?

What has to happen, is to associate porn with debasing your own mind, and reliving the empty feeling you get after fapping every time you feel like jerking off.

Come to think of it, the porn industry disdains the men caught in its web, and offers them no respect, what it offers them, is the lowest of women, pumped high on silicone, drugs, booze and low pay.

Come to see your mind as deserving of much better things.

For fapping, you feel empty after it so the idea is to set a time, say a week, when you'll not fap. If you feel like it, you remember your decision and the emptiness of it all.

See yourself as higher than that.

Worked for me. I hope it does for you.

Knowing that it's been years (more than I would like to admit) that I have been addicted, I never felt that way. That's why I'm sharing this. I'm free at last after having tried many other things for years.

I have watched porn a couple of times since but now I see it more as a form of art around sexuality, I just don't want to masturbate to it anymore. And I have not masturbated at all since.

I understand meditations are not for everybody, though.

One thing that made me quit is getting one look at the gameless loser gamers who do jerk off to porn.
I am not them.
You're better than them. The bar is so low these days because too many guys have chosen porn and video games over sex with women.

Great point Carmichael. To build on your point, An Elitist view, taken of yourself, in ALL you do, is essential in lifting yourself from the masses led by the nose by the MSM, politicians, the environment, women, usually to their own ruin.

So everyone is running after the latest fad? Not your business, you've got your OWN business and goals to achieve. Everyone is chanting a slogan(political, religious, whatever), you decide that is beneath your dignity.

Two simple strategies I used when my porn usage was getting out of hand a few years back.

1. No using my laptop/ tablet on the bed
2. Every time I think about watching porn I open up the kindle and start reading instead

Again, very simple... but worked nonetheless

The problem is that certain imagery, or words can act as cues which trigger you craving porn. Which can easily lead to porn binging if your not careful. From what I read these cues can last for years without porn usage too.

I'm answering to a question I had in a PM. So yes it is working, it's been now a month and I don't even feel like doing it anymore. I have been off porn since I did this meditation one month ago(3 times in total on 3 separate days). I'm cured. Once again: I've had this addiction for more than 10 years.

So give it a shot if you feel it's right for you: worst case scenario you will have lost 30 min. It all depends how committed you are to be free of this addiction.

Hypnosis is the most effective healing tool for me. I use it daily for other issues. You can find many hypnosis videos on Youtube for any issue you are struggling with.

Been FOUR weeks since I listened to the tape (once!). Haven't had any relapses. Now I'm aiming for two months and believe me this will be quite the milestone since first discovering porn some 25 years ago. The longest I've ever gone is three weeks. Not that I haven't let one go in all that time, but porn is (thankfully) an absent catalyst.

I think the best way to cure this is just to keep busy with hobbies or activities or work, when I was working a lot I totally forgot about porn and the thought never occured because I was so busy working and just wanted to sleep at the end of each day.
