Director of Goodlookingpeople.com says they are just like any VIP club

Managing director of BeautifulPeople.com Greg Hodge says that they are just following the site’s users’ wishes, as they are apparently tired of going on nights out surrounded by people they don’t consider pretty enough.

He said: “We listen to our members and they are fed up of going out to expensive bars, hoping to meet similarly beautiful people, only to spend the night wishing that the lighting was lower.

“We are very excited about the opening of our flagship bar.

We will take the same ethos into this project as we did when we launched the dating site, we are simply taking the BeautifulPeople concept into the real world.”

All member of the “hot people” only site will be given, priority entrance to the bar and table access.

Non-members and guests will be let in for drinks only if they pass muster with the on-site Beauty Police – a team of door pickers who allegedly have inside “knowledge” of the standards the site’s members expect.

But being beautiful is apparently not the only way you can gain access to the bar.

A membership committee of celebrity trainers, models, actors and directors based in LA will introduce clients and friends.

The MD is also happy to admit that some exceptions will be made if the potential entrant has enough money.

Hodge says: “Wealth is a strong factor of perceived attractiveness – especially with women.

“We see this mirrored through the site’s rating system where men who exude wealth and success in their images, but who may not be that attractive, are often voted in.

“The way we see it, money can be attractive too, so on a discretionary basis we may make exceptions for certain high net-worth individuals. “



I guess at least one RVF member could parlay this into getting an even more better SMV and social status than they already have.
Do you guys think initiatives like this can work long term?

I don't see this ending well in LA - then again they have superficial Hollywood.

This sort of sounds like pay to play - basically a live version of Seeking Arrangement - hot sugar baby talent - linked up with rich dudes + good looking ones.

Someone will yell discrimination of a fat woman and it'll all be over.

Now I'm not hating, I'm just thinking of the possible pitfalls.

Would be amazing if it actually worked or how exactly it worked afterall - someones gotta be paid at the end of the night.

Everything is relative. Unless you are in the top 10% in both wealth and looks, I fail to see how this is a better option than other clubs or bars. Is it really that difficult to find attractive people at functions where alcohol is served in LA?

Clubs in LA are always like this. If you're not fresh and/or looking good you don't get in the club.

This is kind of the norm in many clubs, the bouncer gets instructions by radio from the manager on the room watching the security cameras of the line of people outside, the best good looking will have an easy time, the manager also have numbers of famous or somehow famous people , so before they arrive they already know X famous guy will shows up, that increase the desire for people to get in.

They also make sure to keep particular ration of male-female, which is hard in recent times as men are abandoning clubs, club always want to have more female than male because it make men want to come more and buy drinks for the women, and the men are not buying drinks to women as often as they used to.
The disparity and 90-10 rule of online dating apps make it hard for the average Joe to compete, there is not point for them to go and spend the nigh and spend money on women who only want them to buy them drinks.

I remember a video from Ukraine posted time ago I think on ROK or here in the forum, the disparity of male to female ration make Ukraine clubs 95% female, was like a documentary I can't find now but one of the girl quite pretty went to the club with her mom, her mom was desperate because the lack of not alcoholic men for her daughter. I do not think clubs business will get to that point in the USA but as men spend more time playing video game, watching porn or hiring a hooker that at least guaranty a good time, club business will keep going down.

My initial guess is that if you were teleported into this club on an average Saturday night with no intelligence that it was a club for "good-looking people" only, it would probably be indistinguishable from any other club that caters to various well-to-do Hollywood types.

i.e. probably a lousy place to meet women to bang if you're not in the clique, regardless of what you look like.

Sort of like Burning Man for the alternative/hipster crowd - initially one might think "oh wow there are going to be all these lit up girls in skimpy outfits dancing around and giving free love this is going to be totally easy" but my guess is that for game, unless you bring your own girls or social circle it probably blows

More hot women around in the world vs attractive men, a man's equalizer is cash to a woman's look.

If they just going off 'asthetic looks' then it will be a bar full of hot girls and homosexual men. Which would be shut down in a year after it turns into a den for drugs and debauchery from the homo men and their culture.

So obviously from a business standpoint they will operate in a more traditional way in simply via just having select dudes with bankroll with a abundance of women around them.

Overall not sure what the point of this is, just sounds like a larger VIP section in any top shelf club. This is likely more of a gimmick to market the website IMO. Look how we men are talking about the website via default of talking about this club.

This is exactly like any other new Hollywood club, they're just going a different route in promoting it.

Door people control who gets in, the way it should be. Most men, especially older ones, are dropping thousands on tables in order to fund everything.

Fortunately SJWism hasn't gotten its way to highend nightlife. A few months ago I saw some Mexican chick cry racism because she and a few friends weren't allowed in. The bouncers weren't having it and after her 2 minutes of ranting they left.

The Beautiful People dating site has way more men than women, something like a 60-40 ratio. So, if this club is pursuing the same strategy, it may struggle with maintaining a decent ratio also. However, if it gets a cachet as being a cool club with high status men, then they probably won't have as much trouble bringing in attractive women. Then they'll have hundreds of swinging dicks lined up at the door trying to get in.

The average joe has never had access to these places or unique members clubs. If someone is good looking, be they male or female and have decent social skills they should be a part of some circles with opportunities.

If they haven't then they are average joe and they will be used as a cash cow.

Yep, the only way I enjoyed a club without having to pay for much was hanging with a promoter buddy or a buddy of mine who manages some famous EDM artists.

Even then I didn't drink much, I was there to catch up with my friends.

Being sober in a club you realize what a shit show it can be, how many people are fronting, whose cliqued up, and what's easy targets.

Clubs were never my thing, never will be, unless I'm with friends of mine. Just never was my style - granted it's the upper echelon of looks/fame/money/game.


Everyone's right that managers and doormen control access already, that's why tons of girls walk right up and get in free versus a bunch of dudes. Fame game and connection goes a long way. This is just a more concentrated version of it.

There is a new breed of clubs, and lounges dedicate for a particular interest, for example video games lounges, this will attract a exclusive but dedicate customer base, the problem with normal clubs is the low change for the average Joe to score something, if he wants to drink he could do it more cheap at home.

He said something many times overlooked at the end, we often say how guy will fallow women, but in many cases is the other way around, women will fallow men, business want money, women do not like to buy their own drinks, stuff like video game lounges will attract men with already a vested interest in something willing to spend some money. The money on snacks, energy drinks, and beer for 18 only will make good money.

Men's money and interest is what business and women want.

^^^^You made yourself better in probably almost ever way by learning game.

It does get better, after all, you're alive and breathing.

Eventually you want to focus on more things than just women and game, your tastes broaden, you're doing things and going places regardless if women are there or not.

The thing has been a gradual shifting over the past decades, but social media and smartphone dating app has not helped the average Joe, there is to mush risk and too small reward for most men these days.
