Hey guys!

So, we know what the PS4 Pro is and what it will do. Now comes the true question, how do I benefit from the increases in tech?

We two large points that were touted during the event.

4K or UHD.

And High Dynamic Range (HDR).

I already own a 4k HDR TV but I cannot play on it. Not because I can't but because it just doesn't feel right. I have been playing on my old 1080p computer monitor for the past two years so now I am used to it.

My question is, what is a good 4k computer monitor that offers HDR? Almost all my searches only make note of 10-bit color, which in my research is equivalent of HDR but its not specifically HDR. Can someone provide me with some insight on what this is and what is a good 27"+ monitor to future proof my gaming setup?

Not to be a wet blanket on that joke but the SNES is only capable of S-VIDEO output at best, a cable which I did get when I received it for Christmas. S-VIDEO on a Sony Trinitron TV, ah those were the days.

Thats actually pretty fucking killer prez carter. I don't remember my original SNES or my FC Twin having those shitty screen flicker/artifacts like the video shows (then again I could just be so used to it) but the clearer color and sharper image is pretty sweet.

The flicker and artifacts are probably going to only be seen on an actual HD tv. The purpose of the cables is kind of two-fold - to allow you to use to system on modern flat TVs and also allow you to use late-generation CRTs with component in. I'm doing the latter and it looks fantastic. It's a pretty impressive product from an engineer grad who produces them in small batches of a high quality.

Only problem now is the fucking save batteries in the games. I can't play through Super Mario World because I'll have to open the case and install a new battery for it to save.

I haven't played a modern video game in a decade but this retro shit is fun to fuck around with every once in a while. Regular people (and girls) actually want to get in on some old school Mario or Street Fighter, not whatever geeks are playing nowadays.
