3 years and 3,000 posts. I’d like to use the thread to profess my appreciation for this community and the changes I have made in my life as direct result of being on here, reading, contributing, learning, and evolving through the years.

A brief preface: I first joined this community through reading and writing for ROK. A friend of mine on FB shared one of Law Dogger’s lovely pieces of fiction/satire and I was at a point in my life and career with women that I was prime for taking the Red Pill and diving in head first. At that time ROK was relatively small and content was regular but slower and I read most everything that was on there. I then contacted Roosh and wrote a handful of pieces. Before finding this community I was freshly out of a 1-year relationship with a slut who cheated on me leaving me very bitter and frustrated. I was at the tipping point in my love life. Ready to toss aside the rose colored glasses of a traditional movie-like loving long-term relationship with a pretty girl, and embrace the hedonism of slagging through scores of women with no desire for anything beyond getting my dick wet and focusing on my own life devoid of the ultimate distraction of romance and pair-bonding. I was bitter and ready to start opening my eyes and rebuilding.

Here is a short list of changes in my life that are either directly or indirectly a result of me being in this community (within the past 3 years):

-I went from a sexual history of 7 women to around 50

-I went from going from serial monogamist perpetual supplicant boyfriend-type aching to be walked all over to casually dating half a dozen girls at a time getting precisely what I want out of my relationships with little compromise while always having time for myself and my personal goals and making these women happy offering them what they truly desire.

-I have completely shifted my paradigm on love, relationships, and social interaction allowing me to have healthier relationships with both women and men.

-Learned to break out of my comfort zone.

-I left the small area I grew up in and moved across the country.

-I have traveled outside of the country and slept with foreign women.

-Met at least half dozen great dudes, and a few of which I would consider friends who add much value to my life and have influenced me for the better. I can only hope I can return the favor in kind.

-I have started improving my body physically seriously and have gone from always being a skinny guy to 200+ lbs. and getting bigger and better all the time.

-I have grown out of my childish clothing style and way of presentation and interaction to a more refined and masculine presence and appearance that has helped me in my love life, social life, and professional life.

-Learned to let loose, live my life, and have a better time. I had never drank, partied much, danced much, or done any substances before coming to this community and meeting people from here. My horizons are broadened and my life experience has improved.

-I have been able to coach and help my other friends with women and in life based on what I learned here. I’ve had friends who have gotten laid specifically because they did/said things I suggested they do on dates.

There are likely other things I’m leaving out or subtle things I’m just not noticing, but this community continues to change me. The people I talk to, the things I learn from reading about others’ experiences, and the things I share and how people interpret and give input. A few people I’d like to mention as being notably instrumental and positively influencing me since I’ve been on here (in no particular order):

Roosh: For offering all this content for men and sharing it with the world for dudes like me to find and improve our lives. You already know this, but I want to press that the things you have done and offered up, and the community you have created are concretely improving the lives of men.

LINUX: Easily the best friend and most influential person I have met face-to-face from this community. I owe a lot to you man. More than you know. The kind of guy who will literally give the shirt off his back and then some, and living a life that can and does inspire others to change theirs.

West Indian Archie: The content you bring to this forum is unparalleled and I have learned a lot from reading your material. I’ve actually learned more as of late than ever before as I feel I’m finally at a place with my experience with love, women, and life where some of the more abstract things you discuss are clearer to me. You are the #1 person I’d like to meet outside of the forum. All-time MVP here.

Tuthmosis: Aside from being one of the center-pieces of this community and offering immeasurably useful, integral, and downright entertaining content over the years, you’re writing on ROK back in the day was very inspirational to me. In game/romance, and even the tongue-and-cheek satire and hit pieces were very influential in helping my perspective of people and women mature.

H1N1: For all your help and advice in fitness. The resident forum sage on body improvement. I can’t thank you enough for all the help you have given me in my progress thread in working towards reaching my goals.

kaotic: I have seen you grow right alongside me in this community over the years. We’ve joined around the same time, though you have put up an awful lot more content on here. Your detailed logging on your progression with women and in life has been beneficial to me and everyone in this community. Would love to meet up in the near future.

Let me be frank - when we first started chatting via PM and on the forum the story was different.

That fresh relationship definitely had a hamper on you and your game - I know you briefly brought up your ex a few times and from gist of it I could tell it was a rough ending and you sounded a bit jaded and bitter (but who doesn't).

NOW LOOK AT YOU

Getting jacked and smashing out babes - having fucking fun while doing it - just enjoying women and living the life the best you can. You traveled, had the time of your life in SA. Shit you're rotating females like lines in hockey.

LINUX is absolutely a patriarch to me with his easy going treatment, lifestyle, and view on women.

It bears repeating - we over analyze and OD on the red pill WAY too much after we discover it, we forget to HAVE FUN and focus on other aspects of our lives.

WIA hands down is the Guru when it comes to the nitty and gritty parts of game, to the finest details. I'm STILL learning from this cat, and by god he still puts out fantastic material and advice. He asks the forum scenario questions which produces great advice from all aspects.

Roosh and Tuth go without saying (shoutout to Sonoma as well).

What a perfect symmetry. 3 years 3000 posts. There is a birthday celebration atmosphere in this post which makes me wanna wish you things.

It's been a pleasure learning things from you as well.

You're smarter than most guys here Stalin. You see things that others can't.

You're the only guy I've seen who went from not knowing a girl and not being able to communicate with her verbally due to a language barrier, to having to convince her 8 hours later, in a tattoo studio, for her not get your name tattooed on her stomach.

You're a natural. You show up as a masculine man, act like yourself, you never judge anyone around you, and you try not to hurt people. And that's landed you 50 really hot girls this past year.

I could have learned from someone like you a few years ago, and many guys here can learn from you right now. I hope they will.

In the past yes. I still do from time to time. I've certainly shorted/skipped out on a gym session here or there to be with a woman. The biggest compromises I've made in my younger years were going silent on friends because a girl I was with didn't want me talking to them.

Thanks for the detailed response man, and you're absolutely right that my last serious relationship certainly left me pretty bitter and icy in the short run, but I've changed so much since then. In the past year I've had some very significant changes go on in my perspective on women, relationships, and life.

That particular piece I quoted from you has been on my mind a lot lately. Not just specifically "red pill" thinking but in general taking things too serious and trying to be too much of a stubborn uptight puritan about shit.

I've gone through the whole spectrum in my time here. I've gone from being a total pussy who willingly let women take a advantage of me, to being super strict Red Pill Alpha Masculine etc. playing hard by the "rules" so to speak and regurgitating all the groupspeak that echoes off the walls, to learning that you need to see things your own way and just take bits from all aspects and make them work best for you and your desires.

@Vinny - thats the goal man. I want to make some big moves in the next 365 days of my life. I'll be 30 next year and I plan on making that a real banner year for me. A new level.

Glad to read your story and that you've gotten serious value from this place.

There were murmurs a while back that this forum had left its Golden years behind. I'm starting to think that perhaps the Golden years are ahead of us, if not already here.

Of course, you'll never find any value in this place if you don't know where to look.

If there is one piece of advice I can give to other newer members of the forum when reading content here, it would be don't take everything you read as gospel and do not get wrapped up in negativity. There is often an aroma of bitterness and doom and gloom in this place. Some people just come on here to read hate porn and perpetuate this idea that we are living on the Titanic. The world is a beautiful place and people are beautiful. It's all about how you choose to see it and how you live.

I stopped trying to be puritan, paper alpha, and game theorist awhile ago.

If it's not you then it's not, you can only fake it till you make it so long.

I think it's a GREAT foundation to start with but you have to customize it to yourself moving forward.


It's a lot like a custom suit:

You find a great tailor that's revered and known (RVF & ROK)

You check out some great and known brands (Members who are Pillars of RVF & ROK)

You then choose the fabrics and colors and try those styles on (Styles of game, approaches, online, day/night, push/pull, cocky/strong and silent, verbal/body, etc.)

You then get measured and get it fitted to your liking (Customizing your game and approach to life)

You rock that bad ass suit out in the world (Everything above being put together to make you happy and satisfied in life)

This! The world is such a big place and there are many different things in it. Take the best things that work for you and run with it. Don't just take everything in, take the good things. I mean, take Little Dark's Spirit but don't go around fighting 30 white knights; take inspiration from Zyzz but don't go riding cycles (almost every roid advocate stops using them...I wonder why).

Bitterness and doom-and-gloom is such a sad road to see, and one that is quite difficult to get out of. I used to foster this little yorkie that was pissed off at the world. So pissed off he would jerk off randomly like a madman, a couple of times every hour. Don't be like Chewie.

Here's Chewie...I Had to take video so I could show it to the vet. It was stress and depression. He would attack men and minorities for some strange reason.

I don't see myself writing anymore pieces for ROK. I haven't even read anything on that site in at least a year. Ever since the layout/format was changed and the volume of content shot up and the quality shot down I haven't much cared for it. The best writers have all stopped writing (Maybe, I wouldn't know because they changed from using handles to using real names/pseudonyms). The site is far more political now and I think the golden-age for content there has passed, at least per my personal tastes.

I would like to do more writing in some fashion, but I've been saying that for years so we'll see.

I like contributing here and would like to contribute more if and when I can. There is a great community with a wealth of knowledge. No joke, this message board is quite possibly the best single resource on the internet for men. The content and membership here is unparalleled. Women, relationships, business, education, travel, and countless other categories of expertise exist here in spades.

I'd also like to stress that my inbox is always open if anyone wants to talk to me one on one.
