Red pill fathers in movies are few and far between. Any time a father is shown to be smart, tough, good for his children, raising strong healthy children, men should rejoice. Captain Fantastic is a good example.

Dad is Viggo Mortenson. I like him as an actor and he seems like he would be a great guy to shoot the shit and get a beer with. In the movie he is kind of a philosopher-king style guy raising 6 kids in the woods.

There are some interesting ideas in the movie: *edit* attacks on modern society, how stupid and lazy people have become, how important red pilled/based fathers are for children. It covers all the bases.

Lots of hippies will like it too, but they will be thinking the guy goes a little too far. Whereas we RVFers will be thinking hes getting it just right.

Worth watching. Will Watch again.

I remember Viggo Mortensen's fine performance as the father from the film adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's The Road.
A grim depiction of a Red Pill father trying to keep his son alive & educated to the dangers of the outside world as they trek through post apocalypse America.

Pretty clever to use a film title that on first glance looks like its another superhero flick. Something to add to my 'to watch' list .Thanks for sharing.

I read on IMDB that this movie had a lot of SJW narratives (Christianity is terrible/Eastern religions are acceptable, non-gendered children, etc). I haven't watched the movie, but you guys didn't detect anything like this? I know IMDB's message boards can be borderline pointless.

Christianity is made fun up when they celebrate Noam Chomsky day instead of Christmas. Dad's argument is that Noam Chomsky hopes to help people see the media lies to them and is in bed with large corporations, whereas what has God done for you?

Non-gendered kids stuff is BS. Girls mostly act like emotional girls in the movie. Not really a spoiler since its the opening scene of the movie: The son goes through a male rite of passage to become a man, by doing extremely manly things.

Ya - the characters are very anti-Christian which is completely congruent with who they are.

The girls are girls, but well trained and educated ones.

Give it a go.
