Google's new flight finder is a fantastic tool I use when I want to go somewhere but don't know where to go. Using this tool I've done crazy things like go to Panama, Medellin the next night after finding a cheap flight. I didn't have these places on my mind but thanks to google flights it shows the places where there are cheap flights to from your location.

I think its one of the greatest tools out there for travelers like us.

Lets say you live in Miami, and want to go somewhere for pussy. You don't wanna waste your time on skyscanner to check the countries one by one, it will take forever.

What you do is you go to flights.google.com

Let's take a imaginary scenario where you're free for any week in February


Say you want to go to South America.

Just enter South America on the search box and choose "Feb 1 week"







As you can see there are great bargains, for example to Bogota between Feb 9 and 15.

Medellin is a great bargain too


Quito another bargain too.

This is how I ended up in Medellin on a bored day, I just enter departing JFK; and hit search for south america.

You can search any continent.

Let's try from London to Asia, february for 1 week.

You can even put interest like "Beaches" "Nightlife"



It even shows you how much an average 2-3-4-5 star hotel would set you back in that location.


This is a much better way than searching in skyscanner especially when you're not sure where to go. Find a cheap bargain? Use the forum search for the datasheet, if it looks promising. Hop on the next plane.

Google Flights is ok, but Kayak and Kiwi absolutely murder it with the right configuration and flexibility.

Yes Kayak is amazing as well.

It´s definitly useful, thanks, although it seems to me that google flights does not search for low cost carriers. So, it´s better for intercontinental flights rather than short vacations on the same continent.
