To be fair I've seen Japanese guys with great game clean house at clubs.

A white guy with muscles and a strong command of the Japanese language can do really well for himself there. I've spent quite a bit of time in Japan and speak conversational Japanese but unfortunately two weeks at a time is not enough to break through to the other side. I've been looking for jobs in Tokyo so hopefully I can make it happen someday.

Vacationing Japanese women want nothing more than to get fucked. There is a massive shopping infrastructure here because of traveling Japanese women that have to leave their country to fuck. Japanese men stopped fucking a few years ago for some reason.

There's been data sheets and writ ups on this forum over the years that say Honolulu is just too hard of a spot for finding girls. I never understand it. They just must overlook the massive Japanese presence.

When I see stuff like this I tend to get concerned for Japan, with that declining birthrate, and their future. Sometimes it seems like they're addressing the wrong problems, creating replacements for male and female companionship, virtual and artificial replacements, instead of helping people actually interact with each other and have functional relationships. I mean, it seems that way, and the level of nonexistent social skills some there appear to have is frankly a bit disturbing sometimes. But I still refrain from making judgement as I know virtually nothing about Japanese culture, and that a lot of this is taking place in big cities and that the countryside and rural areas are likely less affected by this hyper technological lifestyle. I was there when I was really young for a summer when my father was stationed and I remember it being very, very different. Wish I could remember more than I do besides the tiny mcdonalds kids cups, pokemon stadium 2 years before it released in the US, tiny cars stacked up along the street, trying to figure out which candy bars were which because I had no idea about Japanese money or language. Definitely a place I'd like to visit as an adult.

I can see this type of technology coming to the West very soon.

Here's the thing, we can't discount the impact of feminism on the destruction of gender relations in these countries. I'm coming to the end of my trip here, so many thoughts on the place, so many contradictions. I'm quite sure I'm going to start learning Japanese when I get home.

It's one of the coolest and also fucked up places I've ever been.

Riding a train in Tokyo that's packed and dead quiet with everyone glued to their smartphone...I know that's a lot of places these days but here it's something else. The thought of all these guys texting a virtual gf. That has to tie into their suicide rate somehow, either alleviating it or making it worse.

The dynamic of conformity vs. individuality. It would take me a while to figure out here. All these young, good looking, stylish guys dressed to the 9s jumping into the salaryman lifestyle...on a superficial glance you'd think they're in the middle of an atomic family era. But then I see some of those guys with totally busted girls. Or apparently, no girl at all. Anyone that's been to Tokyo knows what I mean; your average pasty, thick legged Jgirl with weird facial structure and fucked up teeth.

But then last night I saw this Japanese dude, a total fucking DWEEB, cruising around in a sweatshirt, ugly ass face, scrawny, shitty haircut, acting a complete fool, with a legit 8 on his arm, at this gyoza joint at 2am. I kept staring at her, probably because I was drunk as shit and stuffing my face with chicken skin gyoza like a goddamn barbarian. Anyway it took me a second to realize this dweeb kid probably looked alpha in her eyes. He was hammered too and walking into the joint like he owned it, making a huge drunken ruckus and being completely sloppy, making all these weird noises, acting that weird peculiar drunken asian way like he's on a variety show or something, all those loud tonal expressions. I felt like I was on an alien planet.

But she was eating it up. I wonder if you could clean up in Japanese cities putting on the degenerate alpha act, or if you'd be better off as a gaijin being more respectful and put-together. Who knows. If Japanese men are really committing social suicide by having a virtual gf and taking themselves off the market, it seems like there would be a buffet of hot ass for drunken retards like the one I just mentioned.

It's damned interesting to me and I'm looking forward to coming back here with some Japanese under my belt and hopefully more time. The company I work for has restaurants here and it wouldn't be too far fetched to get transferred here.

I think it boils down to the fact that he at some point, must have made a move. I don't think we really grasp how many men have never asked a woman out in their lives. Or perhaps they've made a total of attempts that can be counted on one hand, and have given up. Their lack of effort and perseverance has lead to sure failure. This guy you spoke about in your last post sounds like a far cry from a true winner, but he did what many other men would not, or could not do: He made a pass at her and she was intrigued. I dated a model for a short time. Smoking hot blonde girl. Many friends asked me, how did you manage to date a model (drool forming in the corner of their mouths)? Remember that in Japan, the style of the day is what rules. That guy could actually have had on one of those $800 Givenchy sweatshirts and his haircut was what popular now.

Its the conformity vs. Individuality thing like you mentioned.

That guy might have a high status with that specific girl because he fits the style that coordinates with hers.

This is a good topic for discussion. I've long thought that America is going the way of Japan, just 15 years later or so.

I could write a whole long thing about this, but a few points to clear up some common misconceptions...

1.) WW2 has very little to do with this. It's a relatively recent phenomenon. Everything I've heard indicates that Japanese in era between say, 1946-1989 or so, were having sex and dating all the time. I wasn't there myself, but according to everything I've read, 80s Japan was a nation of sexual carnivores. Here's a photo of what was then the general popular style of clubwear, bodycon. Not exactly a nation of shrinking violets.



2.) This massively expensive holo-thing is not indicative of much of anything, and will be lucky to sell maybe a thousand copies. Most Japanese, the vast, vast majority, wouldn't be caught dead with it.

3.) The anime incel crowd isn't helping, but Japan the real reasons Japanese aren't fucking tend more to systemic issues than a lack of game. The big killer for Japan's birthrate right now is their working hours, not their incels. Japanese people regularly work hours best described as "nightmarish", and then have long commutes on crowded trains to boot. I was on a call with a Japanese client this morning at 11:00 AM my time, which is 2:00 AM her time. She was acting like this was completely normal.
I get emails from clients all the time at hours like that. 1:00 AM, 2:00 AM, 6 or seven in the morning...
I don't care how good you are game. You aren't going to get anywhere with some exhausted chick who just got off a 14 hour shift. And after a few 14 hour shifts of your own, you're not gonna be in the mood to approach yourself.

Good point on the overworking. When you slave away to your job, you don't have energy for a social life. Especially approaching women. Sleep deprivation causes drops in T-levels, which causes less desire to approach women. It is a negative feedback cycle.

I started a thread about a similar phenomenon in a documentary called the Sad Boys. I felt the exact same way you do watching that documentary and now reading this. It went over a lot of peoples heads that I was pointing out the emotional damage many dudes suffer as a result of their lack of knowledge as to how to handle their business with the opposite sex. When such a big part of your existence is completely mystery to you, something you turn on your computer or tv too and see everyone doing, it takes its toll.
