Go for experienced women if you don’t have experience going out on actual dates?
My only experience with women has been hooking up with them when I was in college. I’ve never gone out on actual dates and never been in a long-term relationship; my only knowledge has been through what I’ve read and what my friends have told me.

I have a question about the types of women I should go for when I begin dating (I’ll go on internet dating websites and tinder). I want to make sure that when I begin dating, the experience can be productive and actually help me learn to date well, because I have a lot of catching up to do. I also want to make sure that I actually stand a chance with the woman I’m dating. I don’t know whether experienced women would be very unforgiving and would stop talking to me if I made the slightest mistake.

When I actually begin dating, how much experience should the women ideally have? Should I start out with very experienced women? Experienced more in the sense that they’ve dated a lot or been in many long-term relationships (which is what I lack), not necessarily that they’ve just hooked up with lots of guys in the past or present, or who are very skilled at sex. Do very experienced women tend to be crazy?

Also, should she ideally be more on the dominant spectrum? Would that make things easier for me in the beginning? Is it a bad idea to date women who are shy, submissive or not very experienced when you’re a beginner at dating?

Aside from dating and sexual experience, what types of women should I go for or avoid when I begin dating? I’m curious about personality and lifestyle things like how social they should be, their confidence level, etc.

Do you have any tips in general for how to do well with going out on dates if you’re just starting out?

Nothing wrong with your experiences at all, we all come from different backgrounds when it comes to women.

Why are you focused on internet dating ? Why not approaching women in person ?

The only way to learn how to date is......to go on dates !

You're coming at this the wrong way, "standing a chance" is a terrible way to view the dating game. Your should be armed to the teeth with as much knowledge as possible, apply it to your dates, and adjust moving forward.

It really depends on the women, and you'll never truly know how experienced she really is.

If a woman is really into you she can be very forgiving - but you shouldn't be worried about a woman's forgiveness over your well being.

Here's my first question:

How are you really going to know how "experienced" a date of yours is ?

Are you really going to ask how many dicks a bitch took or how many dates she's been on ?

Thought so.

Do you know how ballistic her hamster will go and how fast her pussy will dry up ?

You really want to dredge of old alpha widow memories of a chad thundercock who dumped her that she pines for or memories of a dude who cheated on her or had a bad break up ?

The last thing I've ever really talked about on the first few dates is dudes she's banged or guys she's been with, it's all about me, im the prize, and seeing if she's qualified to hangout with me.

Bitches can be crazy regardless of how many dudes she's been with.

Dominant ? You're a man, YOU should be the one leading the interaction.

She'll be the one telling you where to go, what to do, etc, do you really want to be the bitch ?

Let me tell you something straight up:

NOTHING YOU REALLY WANT COMES EASY.

You have to LEARN AND EARN your way through the dating hierarchy.

I think it's FANTASTIC when a women is shy, submissive, and not very experienced - it mean you can lead easier and less conflict.

What ever happened to just choosing a day, time, and location?

What ever happened to just having fun with the girl you're with ?

You're over analyzing this WAY too much and being way too picky with the girl's you want to be with - yet you're afraid.

What's your dating experience like ?

How many women have you had sex with ?

Your post history doesn't seem to fit in too well with this post. You frequently talk about dating in prior posts, but only start threads then ghost on them.

Not sure if serious.

5 years+ membership. Searches?

Taking all these girls on dates will be frustrating and expensive as a newbie. Some will see you as a meal ticket or teddy bear. Tread with caution.

I’ve had a really long dry spell since I left college because it’s just too hard to meet women once you’re out of school and I’ve been really busy with work and building my career (I’m in my early 30s). I’ve been spending that time educating myself on game, although it’s taken a while because I’ve had very little free time and I had other things that I prioritized, but I’ve also been pretty lazy about actually applying the knowledge that I learned. I really had no game in college and I got laid based on my looks, so when I graduated, I realized that I had no idea what I was doing and I needed to learn game. I’m at a point where my career has stabilized and I have a lot more free time, so I want to actually start dating.

All my past threads were more focused on me just educating myself, although I guess it seemed like I was actually applying them and dating, based on how I wrote the threads. The reason why I didn’t reply to most of them was because I didn’t actually follow through and start dating (partially due to laziness, but maybe also anxiety), so I had no follow-up questions. The furthest I actually went in applying what I learned was doing some test-runs on okcupid; just messaging women but not following through with anything (like getting numbers).

What is "educating yourself on game"????

Give me a break. 99% of educating yourself is going out and doing it. 1% is getting feedback from guys like us. You don't go out and be a successful salesman by posting about "salesman theory". You get out there and sell.

So report back with actual tangible steps.

Game theory is game theory. If anything it's more for the experienced than the inexperienced. Now get out there and close!

And if you tell us the leads are weak. So what. It's a stacked deck, but we win anyways. That's how it is. That's how it'll be.

The answer is....yes.

Date lots of girls, keep it cheap, keep it light, keep it moving. How do you know what type of girl you are looking for if you don't shop around a bit? Do inexpensive activities. If you take a girl out and you don't hit it off, that is fine. You have some experience under your belt. No more than 20-50 bucks on a first date (depending on your finances). You don't want to get hung up financially on somebody you probably won't see again. Go bowling, a museum, some candy shop, a walk in the park, or whatever (except movies, it is nothing but big screen TV). First dates should be in public locations. You don't want to scare her. Try double dates with a friend of yours, that often lightens the mood and enables the conversation to flow easier.

1. Early 30s.
2. Only hooked up with women when I was in college.
3. A little over 10.
4. 0 LTRs.
5. Never went out on an actual date. Last hookup was in college.
6. I'm not really a "social" person anymore; I became more of a homebody as time went on after I graduated. It's also pretty hard to meet people after college. I have a small circle of friends who i still hang out with, but I also spend a lot of time alone.

It sounds like you've locked yourself within your own shell to remain within your comfort zone. It's time to be a social person again. College does make it easier to meet people than when you're in the working world since you're living in dorms and forced to be around other people, but it's not as difficult as you make it seem.

Think about your interests/hobbies/passions. Meetup.com is one way to meet people and expand your social circle, especially if you don't know many people in your area. If you're in a large city, there are meetups for pickup basketball, flag football, hiking, biking, bar meetups, concerts, and the list goes on. There are even ones for specific age groups if you want to stick with the young adult crowd. Plenty of single and attractive women attend these events, although you may have to deal with some thirsty dudes. But you can still meet people, become a part of their social circle, then meet their friends, then so on and so forth. The point is for you to break out of your shell and expand your social circle.

If you're religious, you could join a church and meet people there. If you played baseball when you were young, you could join a softball team. If you love nature, you could hit a popular trail on the weekend and chat it up with people there. There are countless ways of meeting new people, so blaming it on "not being like college" is just a lame excuse.

There is also a wealth of information for you to read and apply to real life. Practice approaching women throughout the day. You need to gain some experience meeting women outside of a college, I'm guessing party setting, and build attraction. Challenge yourself, it's the only way out of this rut. And like kaotic said, you don't need nor want dominant women. They are a pain in the ass and not feminine. You need to be the leader, and in order to get to that point, you need to change up your lifestyle, build some confidence, create some social proof, and expand your options.

h5757,

The board just helped a guy get laid after 20 years. Go look up the newbie thread "First date in 12 years tomorrow".

But first, are you committed to listening to the board, taking advice, and not being defensive and curling up in your cave?

Sounds like OP has a bad habit of "preparing to prepare." You can study up on all the game knowledge available on this forum, but without the stones to go out and risk failure for a chance at success in the real world, all your effort is for naught. Knowledge without practical application is just mental masturbation.

Fuck. NO. That isn't a date, that's two dudes paying for drinks for two chicks who plan to meet their respective Chad Thundercocks the minute the "date" is up.

Double dates are fine for established relationships - i.e., after you've already been plowing the girl you're after, not before. If you want to lighten the mood for a happenstance encounter at a bar, sure, use a buddy as a wingman for that. But for chrissakes don't make a planned double date at a goddamn Dennys - you'll get nowhere and be opening your wallet instead of her legs.

RE: Go for experienced women if you don’t have experience going out on actual dates?
^ Agreed. Don't waste your time on group dates. Why spend your time, effort, energy and money only to end up with nothing to show for it? I've broken dates with girls who tried including friends at the last minute. Because in doing so, they're creating a logistical nightmare that makes getting the bang a whole hell of a lot more difficult.

Personally, I hate meeting a girl's friends and prolong it as long as possible. If a girl ever tries pressing you to meet/hang out with her friends before you're ready, and she will, simply say something like "I don't mind meeting your friends, I'd just like to get to know you better first." It's kind of hard for them to argue with that, particularly if you haven't been seeing each other very long. As SlickyBoy said, save the group dates until you find yourself in a committed relationship.
