Being a californian I've never tried making anything remotely close to this, I thought I'd give it a try. It's really good! Since I'm lactose intolerant I used coconut cream as a substitute for the heavy cream. It's not as thick as a result but still tastes damn good. Sprinkled some bacon on top as well. I highly recommend trying this out.

Ok, It's been several days and I have a problem...

My whole life is one big fish smell.

Get yourself a drywall mud pan:



Then fill it up with white vinegar:


Now let it sit for a while. After you don't smell the fish get some boilable potpurrii with dried oranges in it. Just simmer that shit all day. Your house will smell like grandmas kitchen.

Just be sure not to do both at once because the vinegar will suck up the potpourri happiness.

It was really good. I couldn't find the savory herb though. So I just used thyme. Other than that damn fish smell which is still lingering, I'm going to try Kona's method to remedy that.
