Good evening everyone. I am asking you to please weigh in on why similarly aged Eastern European women mature more quickly, subsequently looking so much older than American women?

I am not an extensive traveler to Eastern Europe (EE), however, have visited Russia, Ukraine and Moldovia. To be fair, it was mostly work related and did not spend a great deal of time there, however, I did make an effort to get out and enjoy the nightlife when I could. The one thing which came immediately to my attention, was the EE women appeared much more mature (age wise) and older than American women of similar age. Overall, the EE women I believe are taller than American women, however, this is not linked to why they appear older.

When in Saint Petersburg, Russia, I was speaking to an American expat who is also a college. I posed this question to him, and he seemed to know exactly what I was getting at. His assessment was that the “Slavs” just have a different look (that was helpful). He stated that Slav women have much more severe or intense facial features than American women. For example, many American women’s facial features are cute or cherubic in nature, while Slav women have stronger facial features (more pronounced chin, nose, squarer jaw, etc.), which explains their desirability for modeling. He went on to say that some cultures peoples mature faster. He stated that the Slavs were one of these people; as the boys reach puberty faster, girls menstrual cycle earlier, etc. He stated that he especially noticed it in the girls, they seem to develop faster, however, overall have a much more difficult life than their American counterparts, which stimulates earlier maturity (or they do not survive in this culture), therefore appearing older. Because of the colder climate and geography, Slav women tend to be heavier boned than American women which also gives them a more developed look. He additionally noted what he finds most noticeable, is the change in appearance after the age of 30. He stated that while many American women continue to appear “girlish”, the EE women do not age as well, in fact, begin aging quickly, illustrating wrinkles, loosening skin, etc. This is why Slav women are the highest consumers of cosmetics/make-up in the world. America women continue to wear little to no makeup after the age of 30, whereas EE women are caked in it – day and night.
The aforementioned is my colleague’s opinion, however, am interested in hearing how you folks access this, or do at all?

You are examining a single ethnicity and comparing it to a nationality composed of every ethnicity on Earth.

The comparisons would be completely different depending on if it is Miami, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Hawaii, etc.

I would not know about that but as a scandinavian I believe that our men retain their boy'ish looks longer than american men. Americans look several years older than scandinavians of the same age. I've also heard that american men are more masculine and have to take responsibility earlier in life given they do not live in a "socialist" country like Sweden, Finland etc. I'm not sure if that affects a person's looks or not.

Yet, at the very same time, it would not be incorrect to state that americans are made up of many european ethnicities and I do not know what the genetic distance is between them and relatively homogenous european populations.

I think European men and women (both Eastern and Western) mature more quickly, due to the widespread availability of public transportation. It gives them independence at a young age. It's normal for see pre-teen girls/boys traveling around the city alone. In the USA though, due to car culture, young people are driven around by mom/dad and over-protected. So it takes them longer to grow up.

Another factor could be that in Russia laughing for laughters' sake is taboo; you're supposed to look stern or else you might be mistaken for a retard or a lunatic. Keeping that serious face can make a person look older perhaps.

Completely disagree if only by the example of my very own mother looking better than most American women at 30.

I do think that Eastern European women age faster than Western European women, or American women (if they take care of themselves). There's something about those slavic genes (or environment?) that seems to make the wall hit faster and harder than in the West. There are exceptions to that rule, but I've seen a lot more hot 40 something Italian, Greek or Spanish women compared to 40 something hot Russians, Polish, etc.

I also encountered this as well in Berlin with German women. Women I approached that I thought were 23 would end up being 16!!!!

It may not seem that way to you because American women tend to have their make up done in a way that looks quite natural. But trust me on this one most of them wear makeup!!!!

Smoking is the main reason why women rapidly age after 30, at least here in Serbia.

Women who don't smoke usually keep their beauty far longer and turn into MILFs.

I don't think it's genetic. EE women do not take care of themselves very well. Poor diet, lack of exercise, smoking and massive makeup to cover it up. Makeup at an early age ages their faces.

Of course I'm speaking in generalizations, but so is OP. You don't have anything near the California lifestyle in EE (sun, beach, yoga, surfing, etc.).

In short, cultures that spend a lot of time outdoors with little clothes on take care of themselves better than those that don't. Look at Brazil for another example.

To test whether it is genetic, see Joanna Krupa, Paulina Porizkova, Milla Jovovich. All aged well living in the west. So it can be done.

I am very glad you guys think this way, because I see very good looking MILFs all over EE, wether in Kiev, Riga, Odessa or Vilnius. Of course there is the typical young babushka but I see women like that in every country, fat and defeated by a hard life or a life with many errors.

I can not compare EE with USA because I have never been in the latter or know a significant sample of women. But I know that in EE people walk a lot on everyday life, wich helps on getting a tight body and nice legs. I believe that is not the case in USA.

The comparison of EE women with Brazilian women is absurd. Brazil is not only Rio de Janeiro, and even though I can bet the percentage of hot MIlFs in Moscow or Kiev is higher than over there. My girl (who is from Russia) was some years ago in the North of Brazil and she never saw so many ugly women in her life. I know also a pretry good sample of Brazilian women in Portugal, and there is just no comparison possible (on average) with the EE women around here.

Also another note, the sun exposition fucks up the skin of white women, I dare to say is the major factor in aging. In my opinion, the women who age better are the mediterranean, Spanish and Italians for sure, possibly Greek too. The Portuguese tend to have a fetish with "getting a colour" at the beach, so most reach 40 with many wrinkles and fucked up skin (though in general Portuguese are the ugliest mediterranean women).

Being Eastern European (Balkans), I have to agree with your college. Some observations may not be true in all countries though, but many are, because the culture, genetics and mindset in EE do not differ that much, despite all the differences in language, religion and so on.



First of all, cigarettes. In EE, cigarettes are very cheap. Everyone can afford them. Young women (and men) start smoking in middle school usually, despite all the bans. What is even worse, young people in general tend to smoke cigars without filters, because they can't afford better ones.

Second, excessive drinking. Like cigarettes, alcoholic drinks are very cheap, and the selection is good. In many clubs, especially during the work days, you basically pay only the entry fee (cheap) and you drink AS MUCH AS YOU WANT - your gender does not matter. During Weekends, there are Lady Nights sometimes, when you get certain drinks for free if you happen to have a vagina (and if you are good looking, white knights will buy anything for you which is not covered). I heard Chris Jenner ''changed'' his gender because of that.


Third is lack of gym culture. Yes, there are plenty of good athletes, both male and female from EE, but sadly...they are exceptions. Your average EE does not visit the gym, or take a hike. Yes, some do during High school and Uni, but when they start working and/or have a family (and when you add cigarettes, alcohol, sedentary lifestyle...), they look like shit - even before 30.


Forth is food. This post applies to the Balkans only! Local food, such as burek (meat pie) and ćevapi (local variant of Kebab) are very rich in fat (especially saturated fat). It is cheap, and many people eat it. For example, according to WHO, 58% of women in Bosnia are overweight, and 28.9% of women are obese. That means that only 14.1% women are of normal build. In other Balkan countries is almost the same.

I always knew that the situation is bad (that food + sedentary lifestyle are no good for your body)...but I had no clue the situation is that bad. And we laugh at Americans and their lifestyle... . Sad!



And finally, genetics. Many models, which many women from EE try to emulate are usually Latinas or Southern European/Middle Eastern (Penelope Cruz, Kim Whoredashian, Shakira...). They spend hours in the sun, or, if they have money, go to a beauty salon, and tan their skin. Now, what they fail to realize is that their skin is not ''designed'' to absorb large amounts of sun rays, because Slavs (like Germanic people) come from parts of the globe that do not see many sunny days. Because of that, they destroy their skin, and hit the Wall well before it's time. In many cases, they even get skin or breast cancer. This applies more in countries such as Poland and Russia. In the Balkans, not necessarily so, because many people are Slavicized Illiryans, Romans..., and thus have more Southern look.




That is why, in my opinion, most EE women (and men) look older than they truly are. As Demandred said, women with healthy lifestyle keep their beauty even after 40 years ( I know women at 38 that look better than women in their 20ties). Still...they are haram for me (no 25+ women).

Thank you for the detailed response Irenicus. This adds additionally insight. I believe another character trait which adds to this, EE women tend to be more solemn, do not smile as much at an early age than western women (American), who are more affable for the most part. My colleague attributes this to EE women having poor teeth (pun intended) and often do not smile to cloak them.
