Psychology indicates that progressive politics is inherantly sociopathic
It's worth noting that much of modern progressive and 'social justice' politics comes from the Utilitarianism philosophies of Jeremy Bentham and John Stuart Mill.

Essentially they held that 'whatever brings the greatest good to the greatest number of people' is always justified, which is of course used by leftists today to justify policies such as affirmative action, or reverse discrimination against "whites, males" or those considered "privileged".

Interestingly however, psychological research has indicated that there is a correlation between utilitarian ways of looking at the world, and psychopathy or antisocial personality disorder.

This ironically seems to indicate that the philosophical foundations of the progressive movement are inherantly evil and psychopathic at their very core; as well as tying into the totalitarian philosophies of Machiavelli, Hitler, and Mussolini:

As The Economist recently wrote, a forthcoming paper in Cognition reports that experiment participants "who indicated greater endorsement of utilitarian solutions had higher scores on measures of Psychopathy, machiavellianism, and life meaninglessness" (from the paper abstract). The experimenters presented subjects with variants of trolley dilemmas—either watch five passengers in a runaway trolley car die, or push one bystander onto the tracks to his death to stop the car—and also asked questions to track their psychological dispositions, finding a strong link between the antisocial tendencies and willingness to kill the bystander to save the trolley passengers.
