Listened to it last night as I was falling asleep. Interesting historical perspective on the manosphere and how it has evolved over time. I came in during the early heartise days, just after roissy original blog transitioned. That was before the manosphere was recognized by broader culture. It was an underground movement, very different from how much more mainstream it has become today.

Great podcast. You guys killed it.

An accurate and honest history of the manosphere (the most influential dissident movement the general public is not informed about) has yet to be written. But this dialogue at least talks about the various "waves" or phases that have been going on in the past 15 years or so.

Possible suggestion for future podcasts: Invite other forum members on there with a pre-picked topic so they can prepare accordingly. I like the back-and-forth style presented here with Samseau. If there are any other forum members that would like to join in a discussion, I'd certainly tune in to a one-on-one with Roosh.

Agreed. Podcasts are great when you're in bed trying to relax your eyes, or killing time during your morning commute. It is a great way to reach an audience that is otherwise captive and can tune in. One of the easiest ways to get your message out there costs only $100 or less for a quality microphone.

Nice work gentleman! Filled in a lot of holes for me. Sam speaks very articulately, as expected given his writing.

I always pronounced the name in my head "Sam see you" like the Thai dish. Roosh pronouned it "Sam so."

Roosh - could you do one with Roissy/heartiste, or does he protect his anonymity too closely?

I found ROK in 2013 and made my way to the forums in 2014. The podcast was a good history lesson. Has that information ever been compiled before? I only knew vaguely about the predecessors to what we have today. Amongst the links to the past, the only one I had seen before was the misandry bubble.

I'd like to hear more from Samseau as a guest, and I hope some other prominent thinkers from the forum would lend their voices from time to time too.

It's been an instructive history lesson on the evolution of the manosphere, I admit I was quite ignorant of many of the names and faces that constructed this fine vessel we navigate through the seas of controversy.Also confirms some ideas I had about the actors I do know a bit more in this play.

The claim that Roissy is Jewish is from his last name, but it's not conclusive. I haven't seen any evidence that David D is Jewish. Do you have the link?

Did listen to it today in the car. First of all it was smooth to listen. I'm a not native speaker and some audio lack the quality to understand it well. Did also enjoy the conversation style and the general approach on the topic. Many stuff I did know but I noticed a lot of this stuff is US centred still feminism, cultural marxism and everything like this is here in Europe as well.
Give a greater understanding of our ideology is good to spread the word. Many of us did start with game an PUA and then moved further to self improvement, travel. Some go beyond and did ask, why did we need game and pua at first? What made use do it? What are the powers of society that give so many men troubles? What are the forces behind? What are the consequences of the modern lifestyle?

Great podcast, really enjoyed it. I was a bit of a latecomer to the manosphere (didn't discover anything until Vox Day started quoting Roissy) so hearing the origins of where some of it started was quite interesting.

My unsolicited commentary from mental notes:


I feel a sense of pride and honor that I have been a part of all this. I guess it's easy to lose track of time. I bought DD's Ebook. I read The 3 R's. I consumed dalrock, I wanted every angle. I listened to Sandman.

To the point about MGTOW being a failure and why. As a bystander, I think it's because the concept of a man doing his own thing in this world- that resonates true. Once it gets under the microscope, what kind of loser shit am I watching and reading? Monk mode? No fucking way. I want to bang girls. I'm out.

I really liked the conversational nature of this podcast.

The forum is the think tank. I agree, it's why I am so willing to defend it. With my voice and my encouragement through donation. Perhaps growth is the goal, but I long for the days of Roosh and Tuth laying a smackdown on those that need to be straightened out. It's ok to speak your mind but do so with purpose. I used to sit on drafted posts, contemplating who would find value in what I wrote, and is it absolutely true. The last thing I wanted was a senior member to come in and flame the shit out of what I just said.

As I think about that- how y'all talked about the groundwork being done years ago to shape the success of goals, I hope the thoughts the moderators allow through the gates do the same in 5 years from now. I will never see how someone can post 20 or 30 times in a day and claim to be a successful man, it's not how I came into this forum. And I know nothing lasts forever- things will indeed change, but I truly hope that the newbie growth doesn't alienate the dedicated senior leadership. I've seen a few guys start to trickle back in, it's great to see. The guys that are actually out meeting forum members and their rep shows it. I think that is the future of the Manosphere. Get out from behind the keyboard.

Surprised to see that John Alexander wasn't mentioned at all. His book "How to Become a Alpha Male" came out in 2005. He was the first to have a guide that didn't depend on pick up lines and even introduced day game. Without him I would never have had success with women.
