The "punch a Nazi" meme has turned into "punch anyone I disagree with."

Savage, with his dog, Teddy, was finishing up dinner Tuesday night at Servino Restaurant in Tiburon, California, north of San Francisco, when the unnamed assailant charged up to Savage and began yelling, reported local media blogger Rich Lieberman.

The attacker kicked the poodle out of the way, grabbed Savage and threw him to the ground, according to an eyewitness.

Savage was not seriously hurt, but the incident left him bloodied and shaken, Lieberman said.

Savage’s attorney, Dan Horowitz, told the blogger he will seek criminal charges.

“We’re going to seek felony charges against the man, and we’re going to investigate this as a hate crime because of Michael’s political views,” Horowitz said.

In a statement to Lieberman, Savage said he was leaving the restaurant “when a total stranger followed me out of the restaurant and confronted me.”

The man said, “Are you Michael Weeeeener?” mocking the radio host’s legal name, Weiner.

Savage said: “I turned to him and said, ‘Go away, I don’t know who you are.’ I turned to leave and he pushed me and I fell down. He moved toward me to push me down and he shoved my 10-pound poodle out of the way to get to me.

Never turn your back to someone who is displaying threatening behavior.

I need to move to a stand your ground state.

I live in Massachusetts and this type of thing would make me flip, and my resulting behavior could get the book thrown at me for decades.

What has California become, when one can kick a damn poodle and still claim they have the moral high ground?

I'm against assaulting people for speech also, but I can at least picture how the mental gymnastics on that work.

I am really surprised this hasn't happened to Michael earlier, given where he lives. I have been listening to him over 20 years, and hearing this really breaks my heart. I hope he is ok, and I hope Teddy is ok. I hope they prosecute the bastard to the fullest extent.

It was abundantly obvious to any reasonable person that "attack any person with reprehensible views" would easily become "attack any person I deem to have reprehensible views" which easily becomes "attack any person I disagree with".

The slippery slope was so obvious (and called out even by rational people on the left) that the persistence of the meme calls into stark question the motivation of its purveyors.

Going off on a tangent, but this reminds me of a common back-and-forth I see on twitter goes like this:

Guy A: blah blah Trump is Hitler, Republicans are nazis
Guy B: chill out man, give him a chance, he's only been president 2 months he hasn't done anything

Which is funny since it's technically true. I like to think Trump (by way of Bannon and Miller) understands it perfectly well, but he can't strike back yet. Still basically in a chrysalid state of his presidency, enemies on all sides coordinating and overwhelming. Needs more time to shore up his base, messaging and support.

Though it would be hilarious to see a future where people's irrational rhetoric and escalating violent actions lead to the very scenario they were preaching against, which wouldn't have occurred otherwise.

I am honestly surprised it took this long. The man has some extreme anti-liberal views in their safe space nerve center and is totally unapologetic about voicing them. It was always amazing to me he managed to walk among the San Franciscans on a daily basis and not be struck down. I did enjoy listening to him when I had the chance greatly.

To me this is a symbolic event. After all this time someone finally has the balls to attack Savage when he is an old frail man then it's more proof the left is spiraling to the extreme. This is becoming common and will continue to get worse in the coming years as leftists become even more intolerant than they already are. It will be morally imperative to bring justice and stop the bad wrong-thinkers.

Roosh is right, debate is over. Half the country wants us dead or immobilized or incapacitated. They can't be reformed, if you didn't vote for Trump you're probably too far gone.

Intervention in situations like these is a funny old thing. You often get some limp-wristed cuck who wants to virtue signal by pulling out his old hippy "can't we all just along" routine. Sometimes that cuck gets punched in the face for his efforts. Oh well.

Most of these events are over very quickly with minimal harm to either party. I have a rule to only intervene if an attack turns into a prolonged beating. In the interim I'll just call the police. For one, I have no real idea who the attacker is, who the victim is and what the beef is, all of which are very pertinent questions.

God forbid a random assault turns into a prolonged beating, if you want to intervene you need to bring a much superior level of violence or just stay the hell out of it. Just because the crazy man isn't stabbing or shooting the victim it doesn't mean he doesn't have a knife or a gun. A knife or a gun that he might deploy if he feels like the odds are tipping against him in his quest for righteous vengeance.

And might I just say, if you're a politically active person in enemy territory then by this stage you are a fucking idiot if you don't have AT LEAST one of these with you at all times...

He actually lives in Belvedere and this incident happened in neighboring Tiburon. These towns are in Marin county, and you need to drive across a bridge (Golden Gate bridge being one) to get there from San Francisco (or take a boat/ferry).

Belvedere is an "island" or peninsula. Very wealthy and exclusive. I think there's only one road in and out. It's about one third republican.

Agreed and have been listening about as long. Savage is pretty redpill guy and is very inspiring.

Some may not know the value that Savage brought to Trump and the non-cuck conservatives. Savage is a top rated Radio Host and also Podcast Host. His followers are very loyal. For Trump, he was on-board early (has for years encouraged a Trump run) and unfailingly. He hosted live interviews with candidate Trump many times, knowing his show could take huge losses (from right and left) if things turn out bad. Without Savage, much of Trump's formerly cuckservative supporters would never have come around. He is a Master-Rated Troll of the leftie media's bullshit.

Savage did for middle-aged/older voters what the Manosphere/RedPill/alt right did for younger voters. In recent years I have heard numerous redpill overlapping ideas from Savage. I would be surprised if he/his staff are not occasional lurkers here.

Savage has long held that "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder." The increasingly unhinged and violent behavior of the Violent American Left ™ is becoming more apparent with time.

No Charges. How many non-leftie events/supporters have to be violently attacked, shouted down, or intimidated before our law enforcement does anything meaningful (token catch-and-release arrests aside)? DeploraBall is targeted for chemical attack via duct-work and the conspirators get community service. Dozens of rioters pelt supporters and police with rocks and only 3 arrests ensue (New Mexico). Supporters are chased, sucker punched, egged, and screamed down with near impunity (California). Protesters successfully shut down a rally before it can even happen (Illinois). Thuglets brandish weapons, sport foreign flags, and freak out at political demonstrations (Shia Lebouf's "art" displays, almost anywhere in the US). Vandals destroy property and prevent free speech (Milo at Berkeley) as police idly standby. Now a 74 year old radio announcer is pursued from the restaurant, confronted, and attacked.

I have read elsewhere on RvF of Roosh's suspicions that law enforcement will increasingly abandon protection of the local population in support of their higher bosses that align under globalist/leftie politicians. It is time for our fine and loyal LEOs to beware of these tendencies and to counter them.

The FBI defines terrorism as “the unlawful use of force or violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.” The definition is reasonable. It is applied to KKK idiots and occasional jihadist groups. It is almost never applied to those that would specifically attack politically/socially conservative Americans.

I am not encouraging a victim mindset. I am encouraging a mindset that does not become a victim. Don't start shit, but protect your asses.

Anyone who knows the area understands that this is completely unbelievable (Not as in I don't believe it happened, as in it is hard to believe it happened there), unless it was someone who came over from San Francisco on the ferry to spend the day there.

Tiburon and Belvedere are two of the richest towns in the richest county in the bay. They aren't even towns really, just a bunch of exclusive over priced homes with views and docks. The downtowns barely exist. It is just hills and beaches and show homes.

For them, violence is using the wrong spoon. If people in Tiburon are hauling off and socking people, we have truly reached the state of Peak Abreaction.
