Several women in the LA area tell CBS 2 Los Angeles that he ditched them at the table, claiming that he had to make a call.

This horror of a man goes by the name of Paul or Dave Gonzales.

"He said, 'Are you available at all this weekend for dinner?' I said, 'Yes, how about Sunday?' " explained one woman, who declined to be identified when speaking with CBS Los Angeles.

"A glass of pinot, a Caesar salad with a side of shrimp, a steak and a baked potato," said another unnamed blind date about Gonzales' preferred order. Once he had devoured most of his meal, she said, "He left maybe half a baked potato and then received a phone call and said 'I need to take this call.'"

Then, this happened: "The waiter came back and said 'He's not out there. Is this a first date? And I said: 'Yes, this is a first blind date, and he said, 'He's gone.' "

On another date that took place more than a year ago, Gonzales said he was a bodybuilder and ordered two entrees for a total of $100, leaving his date stranded with the bill. "He says, 'I'm going to the bathroom, I'll be right back' and he never did," explained the abandoned date.

According to CBS 2, one of the duped dates was comped Gonzales' meal after he dashed, but she still had to pay for his glass of wine.

LA's District Attorney's Office states that 44-year-old Gonzales happens to currently have two bench warrants out for his arrest after he failed to show up to court for petty theft and driving without a license.

Will LA's restaurants and blind daters ever be free of their mysterious dine-and-dasher? Only time will tell. But once the truth gets out, it will probably be a lot harder for him to land a Bumble date.

Apparently he's been doing this for over a year.

I doubt this guy does this to every date. Its probably only when the woman has cat fished him a bit by being fatter, older, and or uglier than her online pictures. Then when he sees she isn't what he saw from the pictures he just enjoys a dinner on her dime and bails thus making the best out of a bad date situation.

Some men feel entitled to sex from women. Some women feel entitled to men's resources. Entitlement prevents self-growth.

Even still, I have to say this dinner bandit made me smile to think he probably hoodwinked a few Instagram whores and gold diggers. I can't say I endorse this behavior as a way to improve relationships between the sexes, but as an individual narrative, it is funny as all get out.

Get seven replies .. "woo hoo!! I'm not spending any money on dinner this week".

Put that towards your plane ticket to the Philippines.

But in all seriousness, for a woman to disclose that they're victims here, then either asking for sanction ("fines to men who do this"), risk management ("credit card details for men from dating sites") or reparations ("tax on men").

Sure. But the reason it's funny is that women do this kind of thing all the time, hamster it away, and then laugh about it with their friends. Now when a man is doing it, he is said to be the worst man in the world. So even though the guy is a dickwad, the reactions are both telling and amusing.

I don't know why some posters can't differentiate between laughing at the exaggerated complaints of women and condoning what the guy is doing. What he's doing is surely a bitch move - but bitches do it all the time without any consequences and surely without a media write-up. With all due respect, this is bollocks. The overwhelming majority of North American women behave like this. Where's the media outcry when women regularly enjoy a supper worthy of a King Edward VIII banquet at their simp's, excuse me, date's expense, even though the women concerned knew that they had no intention whatsoever to reward the man with any form of intimacy post dinner date? That's right, that's the sound of tumbleweed you just heard. In other words, not a flicker, not a peep is reported about this in the mainstream media. In just the same way that the fact 90% of suicides are at the hands of men is conveniently ignored. Imagine if matters were the other way about: There would be emergency government committees set up to investigate this, but when it is men that are affected, then who gives a fuck today in the Anglosphere? If it weren't for the invention of the internet, these issues would not be getting debated in any shape or form on a wide scale. By the way, this is one good way in which any man living in North America or other parts of the West today should be able to recognize that he lives in a gynocracy: The double standard that exists between the way a man's behaviour is judged for the very same behaviour.

Furthermore, I would say it is not only desirable but necessary to treat women in this way today, since how else are women going to learn that their own behaviour is unacceptably shitty?
