What city(or cities) in Brazil do you tend to find the hipster, tattooed, pierced, slim, type of girls like the ones below?

Any guess on what their Brazilian ethnicities are? Any Brazilian natives/visitors have an idea?

I would like for them at bela vista, vila made Lena neighborhoods in sp and probably lapa in rio. There might be some in middle class neighbor hoods in barra as well but they are mostly in Brazilian groups.

Huh? No sure what you mean.
There are hipster girls in middle class neighborhoods, but you are more likely to see them in alternative areas like rua augusta, also places like maresias.

As others have said, you have a high chance of meeting girls like that in the Southern part of Brazil in the cities mentioned. The coast (o litoral) will also be a good spot in the summer since most people tend to escape the cities for some RnR.

The trend was really picking up when I was there in 2008. I was seeing a lot of leg tattoos.

I wonder how anyone can be actively looking for tattooed women. I don't mind a tiny Snoopy on the butt, but those are are martial signs. I get it that they like it with men and assume that we must like it on them. But tattoos were akin to warrior marks and it just takes away from the feminine beauty.

These broads don't look any different than your average young american hipster girl. Hit up SA or your local hipster enclave and you will find them: young, fit, broke, with piercings and tattoos.

You need large cities with heavy urban culture and non-traditional values.

Rio is not that heavy into street culture, same with Florianópolis. Porto Alegre is known for their rock'n'roll scene but it's not that large a city and they have more traditional values.

Best cities would be Curitiba and São Paulo.

Don't know any spots in particular in Curitiba, but SP you should check out hip hop/trap/rock/alternative clubs, like Lions (post from the SP thread), Nola, Trackers, Bar Secreto and others on Rua Augusta.

Small tattoos, like those girly ones on the wrists, ankles, behind the ear or over the ribs are almost ubiquotous.

These bigger tattoos have increased in popularity over the last five years but they're still mainly limited to girls in the Downtown or Rua Augusta regions.

Any major metropolitan city in Brazil is going to have a young student population that subscribe to wacky, extremist leftist ideologies (especially at the public universities). Within this group you will encounter girls like this, although more often than not they tend to have a chip on their shoulder, and tend to be annoyingly preachy about their nonsensical beliefs. I don't know if I have just been unlucky, but the last 5-10 Brazilian girls that I have met have all subscribed to these toxic ideologies one way or another, which is making me start to believe that the guys on this forum that say Brazil is fading fast have a point.

With that said, São Paulo is definitely THE place for that kind of shit. So if you dig it, I'd go there.

Personally, these kinds of girls get on my damn nerves, and even if they were really hot, I couldn't get past their annoying belief system to get the lay, but to each their own; if you like it go for it. I just don't see the point in going to Brazil to bang ultra westernized women.

Yes sir. I can handle some artwork on the arm or leg, but that piercing just makes you look like livestock. I cannot comprehend why it's become so popular.

Because most young people are blind followers, they try so hard to be "alternative" by doing exactly what all their peers are doing.

The trend took off in the last 4 years when the media was pushing it heavily. Rihanna and I think Miley Cyrus were spotted with the idiotic bullrings first. Then it started showing up all over hip hop/trap videos and MTV style media.

Anytime i see a girl with a bullring I already know..

The consensus with most posters is SP. I've had a lot of experience in Rio and been to Floripa, so I have to disagree.

Rio has been mentioned but the tattooed, hipster culture is a far cry from SP's. Girls are fit because they live by the beach, but you won't see many girls walking around with full sleeves or chest pieces. On average the Rio hot girl is thicker than the pics (thicker thighs and ass, often breast implants).

Floripa has only been mentioned because the girls are from mixed European stock and genetically are similar to the girls in the post - longer, slimmer, good facial features. Like Rio, you won't be seeing that many and that tatted up girls there.

Both in Rio and Floripa people tend to stay outside, hit the beach, surf, live a more easy going life. Tattoos and piercings are a consequence of chaos, freedom and gray, cement, dirty urban culture - that's SP.

Back in 2008 a lower back tattoo or a butterfly on the shoulder was still an act of daring for a SA girl. Now they have become so common that nothing short of a full sleeve of sailor tattoos will do.
