ZEC has some backing behind it(JPM) like ETH and GNO was simply a correlation play vs REP.

Bough here avg 240s. No leverage.

Slam, I start by taking a look at the tech. Then I look at fundamental drivers that would need to have the price increase. In the cases like ETH it's not the mass adoption actually. It's the gas spend. It definitely helps if there are large backers and users of the tech but something like XRP doesn't need a high value to have the tech work and be worth millions.
