There's a lot of info on the major destinations in LA and Asia, but very little on the top destinations in Central America in comparison. After spending some good time in Asia over the past year, I'm looking to get back to LA but this time to Central America. It would be good to have a data sheet for each of the Central American countries and how they compare against each other in terms of quality and attitude of the girls, cost of living, safety, nightlife, food, activities to do, places to see and last but not least, nice beaches.

So, let's compile a top 5 of CA in terms of the factors mentioned above?

Countries short listed:

Mexico
Guatemala
El Salvador
Nicaragua
Honduras
Costa Rica
Dominican Republic (more Caribbean but still none the less Central American).
Cuba (Same as the DR).
Panama (I'm having some reserve on including Panama to the list but curious to know of options/potential there).
Puerto Rico

So in terms of ease of hooking up, quality of girls, cost of living, quality and variety of local food, extra curicular activities (other than chasing girls), safety and quality of beaches. which would be the best? the top 5? Where would you go first of all the places mentioned above? Where would you go for a short stint? Where would you go to spend a few weeks to a few months?

Not sure why you have problems including Panama, which actually is in Central America versus some of the Caribbean countries you listed like PR, DR and Cuba. Central America consists of the seven states of Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama.

There is actually quite a bit by CollegeGame and a few others on CA - not much on the capitals, but CA is the place you go for adventures. It's also ridiculously cheap. Especially Nicaragua.

I should have been clearer, the reason I'm having some reserves to include Panama has nothing to do with geographical reasons but rather my personal interests based on what I've read/heard so far about Panama. You're right again that technically and geographically, DR and Cuba may not be considered Central American but rather Caribbean but these are places I'm interested to hit and learn more about.

@VP- One of my best friends of 15 years spent a lot of time recently in the region for work, and gave me a solid rundown on the countries. I went to San Salvador on his recommendation, and his data was 100% accurate, no hype. He's a white guy w/ good Spanish and dates nothing less than 8's in the U.S.

El Salvador-Best country in the area, for the exotic factor and price. Hot chicks. I call them the pinays of the Western Hemisphere. Short, sweet, and sexy.

Panama-The worst for pickup. Women were indifferent or negative to Americans. It's a good place to retire though.

Honduras- A little dangerous and he was ran out of the country. I was warned not to go alone.

Nicaragua-Can't remember what he said. LOL.

Costa Rica- Beautiful, but too many gringos.

Puerto Rico- Skip completely, or take a g/f, and enjoy the culture and history for a long weekend.

Barbados- Best of the islands but pricey. He didn't comment on pickup.

Antigua- Great place to take a g/f for a romantic getaway.

I've been to El Salvador and Mexico, and it's the only two places I still have a desire to visit. Guadalajara is high on my list, and bars has given some great data on it.

Costa Rica is overflowing with tourists. It may have been good 10-20 years ago, but now I can't say it's that great. The Tica girls are all pretty jaded and unimpressed with gringos.

Guatemala is the easiest place I've been to pick up non-pros. Outside of SE Asia, I've never been eye fucked so much at night. The catch is that the girls here are pretty gross. You'll only see 1-2 bangable girls PER NIGHT. But if you do find them, they're pretty easy to get. Unfortunately, Guatemala is a little dangerous right now since they have elections coming up. Reports of a bunch of tourists stabbed in Antigua a few weeks ago.

Best for what?

I went to Caye Caulker (while back) and was not impressed by the girls.

Good for diving and fishing though.

Caught a barracuda. That was pretty dope.

Manuel Antonio is a national park.

Good for surfing and seeing Squirrel Monkeys and Howler Monkeys.

Not sure that is what everyone on here is asking about though.

Although not in Central America, Puerto Rico is actually kind of a cool place.

I do agree with Aliblahba that you should take a GF or something with you.

I was there this past January with my GF. You can rent a new car for an entire week for like $60. (This is essential in PR. The only other mode of travel are called "Publicos", or public cars. Public transit in PR is non-existent.)

Puerto Rican girls can be HOT AS FUCK. Problem is, a lot of them are into guys with that Daddy Yankee douchebag look. I like Reggaeton, but some of those guys are absolute fucking payasos.

Food is good, people are friendly. Area called Rincon in the NW part of the island is awesome for surfing. Cool laid back atmosphere. Vieques is also kind of cool for a few days. (You get there by ferry for like $8/person?)

Honestly, I had a pretty big prejudice against Puerto Ricans prior to my trip. Never had a good experience with one. This changed when I visited the island. I came to learn that there is a MAJOR difference between the Puerto Ricans that live in the Continental United States, and those who were born/raised on the island. It's like night and day. Puerto Ricans FROM Puerto Rico are, generally speaking, very cool people.

Definitely check it out. Flights from DC to PR are only like $250 sometimes, all fees included, roundtrip. Can't go wrong.

I lived in Mexico (D.F.) and really love the country, but the girls are just horrible. Seriously, the vast majority resembles hairy, chubby dwarfs. Of course, there are also some fine mexicanas, no doubt, but the ratio is just bad. To give you an example, if in Germany the ugly:decent:hot ratio (out of ten) is maybe 5:3:2, in Argentina 2:4:4 and in Mexico, and Im not bullshitting you, 7:2:1. That being said, the quality depends on where you are. Allegedly, the further north the better and the absolute best, according to the mexicans, come from Guadalajara, Jalisco. However, you wont be impressed by the overall quality, though.

But thats the only downside of Mexico for me. The country is beautiful, diverse, lots of culture, great food...

Ill give my thoughts and impressions on CA. (been to Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala)

Costa Rica

Best Looking women on a whole. The most gringo infested, but like always there is plenty of places to go where you will be the only gringo for the nightlife. Most of the backpackers leave San Jose right after arrival. The ones that are their for any amount of time will hit up the some western bars promoted in the hostels. Its amusing how they will not venture out that far in San Jose. Even the main nightlife hub El Pueblo was pretty much gringo free. Me and my buddy went 3 nights and only saw one other group of gringos on one night (and they were not young guns they were older sex tourists). Then you can roll to around the university and you will def be the only gringo in that joint. Its alil more edgy but what you expect? lol I got a slamming ONS from a 18 yr old girl I meet at a bar. Costa Rica is fun. Def would recommend it to anyone atleast once.

Honduras

Hands down the LEAST traveled country in CA in regards to young white guys rolling there to swoop bitches. Tegucigalpa is still completely untouched. There isnt a single hostel in the city. Danger level is perceived as pretty high. Def some hot girls here. I got alot added on facebook from when I was originally going. These are the type countries and cities I love the most! Untapped and RAW!

El Salvador

Great overall! Relatively untouched by young gringos. Only people that go to San Salvador is a handful of sex tourists. Everyone else is pretty much just passing by on the way to other CA countries or to surf at the beach. You will def be the only gringo out at night. Women look good and are short with phat asses. I really liked El Salvador!

Nicaragua

Heard some good things about Nic. Got some nice lil colonial cities. Women look pretty good. Not sure about how many gringos you see out in the clubs and bars but im sure it cant be alot. Esp outside of the main areas. Def on my list to visit.

Guatemala

Ugly girls on a whole! Very cheap! Guate City looks like a dump. Least friendly people i encountered. Females appears to be pretty conservative. With that said they is some nice places in Guatemala. Antigua was pretty cool. Tons of tourists though, but great for finding some western slut. Everyone should go check out the ruins of Tikal! They are awesome. Will not be returning though.....

Panama

Heard alot of good things about Panama. Great nightlife, plenty of hot women. Nice mix of panamanians, colombians, and venezuelians. Cool tourists places to check out. Prob a decent amount of gringos in PC, but even still I doubt it will be enough to affect your numbers at night.

I did CA from Costa Rica to Playa del Carmen - did a datasheet on the last one which was confirmed by a few others, so you can take me at my word.

Costa Rica is for yuppies from NYC and rednecks who don't know any better. Tourist girls are better here, because there is adventure factor, ie. surfing, ziplining, volcanoes and rainforests but it's not off the beaten path so these girls feel OK going there. Main nationalities? German and US, with good looking versions of both readily available. The vacation factor increase the bangability for everyone. For some reason I cant explain, girls seem hotter and easier.

Nicaragua - this place is dirt cheap. You get ultimate value for money, but don't expect gourmet food - you get the most out of this place by appreciating its backwardness - it's the second poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, and on the verge of a new socialist dictatorship under Ortega. San Juan del Sur is where most people have moved on from Costa Rica - it's probably what Costa Rica was like 20 years ago. The Corn Islands has great diving - you can see hammerheads everyday, and the tourists have had little impact, despite their numbers, especially on the little island. The food is shrimp and lobster for less than USD10 a plate, and it's a big plate. My favorite place in CA, by far. Nicaragua is inhabited in the West by mestizos, short fat and ugly, and blacks/indians on the Carribbean. Some of that black booty is nice, but Belize had the prettiest black girls, in my opinion. There's nothing in the middle of Nica, except jungle - it sucks - but take a side-trip to Esteli to swim down a canyon, get some padróns (you can buy them off the street in Granada too - they're made only for export, so however you acquire them, itll be illegal, but so worth it) and get some world class coffee/chocolate from Matagalpa. Managua, the capital, is the only place you'll find hot locals in the upper scale clubs, and it's EASY to pick up - and if your logistics are good, easy to bang, too. Nice apartments are 200USD a month. The only other hot local is 20yo, lives in Leon, and I fucked her already. Plus she's already got a 6yo girl. Managua is also the ulgiest city in the world. It was destroyed by an earthquake in '72 but Somoza took all the aid money for himself. The country itself is beautiful and great for adventures. Delicious world class rum, Flor de Cana, for USD 8 a bottle. Although the absolute best rum is in Guatemala - Ron Zacapa at USD40 a bottle.

In the rest of these places, Mexico and El Salvador have the nicest average girls. Guatemalan girls are hideous, yes. But thats because you are looking at the mayans and mestizos. They're just born that way.

Local Guate talent is around, especially in Antigua on weekends. I had a mini-relationship with one. They are conservative, mainly Spanish or descended from German immigrants in the 19th century, have ruled Guate since Cortes, and they keep to themselves. Think preppy kids from upper-class US schools, except way richer and much nicer/cooler. They can be BEAUTIFUL compared to the rest, but again - they wouldn't really stand out in a place like Argentina. Mixx has a thread on how to game these types of Latinas, but it takes a little time.

Playa del Carmen is the place most like the US in terms of DTF. See my thread.

Oh, and in all these places, the country side/major sites are teaming with backpackers, who with marginal amount of game, will do anal on hello. Most common are Dutch, and loads of Canadians in Nica (especially San Juan del Sur) to surf, and quite a few Scandinavians in Antigua to learn Spanish.

However, if you want Spanish, you can do Lago de Atitlan in Guatemala (best in December) for USD150 a week for room, board and 20 hrs private classes a week.

Keep in mind you cannot bring girls back to hostels or to a student house, if you're staying there. You need your own place. Or you can sneak them in or just do them on the beach, if there is one. In that case, be careful. I got mugged with a knife because I hadn't checked my back as I was tugging some swiss girls hotpants off.

Mexico- I have spent time in Guanajuato for the Cerventes festival. I take spanish classes during the day, and work freelanced at night for the events. Its a huge cultural festival and in years past it was absolutely JAMMED with people partying. Lots of women come in from DF and Guadalajara as well as acts from all over the world, but in recent years the organizers have tried to return it to its cultural roots ie. not as much about the party. It coming up again soon in october.

I recommend getting some press credentials and a camera and getting in there. Behind the scenes is stacked with women from all over the world. Many flags to be had.

Thats basically what I said. I spent 1 year living in DF and been there severals times afterwards, have some fresa (upper class) friends and still, compared to other countries, quality is kinda low. Though, I only been south of DF and cant really speak for the northern parts you mentioned. Dont get me wrong, Mexico is still def worth a visit or two, but just not for pussy. Why go to a place where hot girls are scrace, when you easily can hop on another plane and go to place where generally quality is far better? If looking for good pussy, head to DR, Panama, Colombia, etc. If looking for a culture/history-wise rich, diverse, beautiful country which offers everything excluding an overwhelming amount of tasty muchachas, then head to Mexico, but maybe bring your colombian girlfriend!

Loads of hot turistas in Mal Pais / Montezuma, CR for the surf & yoga scene. Seriously, I could count on seeing at least one legit 10 per day, with loads of 8's+. Nightlife is pretty meh. There's a couple of places that will throw big parties, but lots of local and visiting sausages.

Bocas del Toro, Panama, had quite a few as well. Tons of friendly Argentine & Euro females. Local population fairly scarce. Euro/Aussie douchebag factor can be high.

Had a blast in Casco Viejo in Panama City. Some smoking hot local talent, but have no read on score-ability (made few attempts). Clubs on Calle Uruguay are supposedly legendary.


Belize has been one of my favorites, but it's all turista game. Little to no local talent.

You don't have to be white. As long as your over 5'9" and don't look like a local they will wanna bang you. You can get blown by the girls there as well, it just takes some extra coaching.

Assuming you're only going after Mayan girls and Mestizos, yeah. But why would you try to catch a nasty hog for dinner in a barn full of nice Angus cattle? You could easily father 10 kids in a couple of weeks just doing the hike from Xela to Lago de Atitlan with Quetzaltrekkers. Shit, most of those people have never seen a chele before.

If you go after the high-class girls in Guatemala City or Antigua, you will need your game in order, but they are much more attractive. The chase is more fun, it's a bit of challenge. Many of them speak English because they've done exchange programs in Spain or the US during college. If this is not your thing, there are hordes of easy-to-get tourists. Either way, you're going to have a good time which is what really matters

In addition to this, Guatemala is one of the most beautiful countries and has an enormous amount of interesting shit to check out and it is dirt cheap and fairly safe outside of the the worst Zonas in the capital.

For me, it's a no brainer.

I wouldn't necessarily refer to them as "Angus cattle." With all due respect, I did go after the high class girls in Antigua and Guatemala City. Got with two of them. They're not that hot. You can find some cute ones here or there. But all things considered, you can do better in the looks department just about anywhere else in Latin America.

Don't get me wrong. I really enjoyed it there. The country is beautiful. The people are friendly. The food is excellent. Everything's cheap. I plan on going back for a couple weeks next year to hammer out my Spanish a bit. But I would never recommend going there for the women.

Just my .02 cents.

PR is definitely one of the most misunderstood and misrepresented locations in this forum. A lot of what Guey says here is true, although some is not.

You don't need to take a girl with you to PR - there are plenty of gorgeous women there for you to game. Just don't expect an advantage for being a gringo. Gaming will be the same as in the mainland USA, just with a Spanish focus.

Yes, a lot of girls are into the Daddy Yankee douchebag look, just like in the US many girls are into the Jersey Shore douchebag look. That doesn't mean if you come at them with something different they won't be interested. If you spit solid game, it won't matter.

Public transit in PR (well, San Juan) is NOT non-existent, it just sucks. There are buses and a metro line, which can be useful during the day. At night, however, you'll be relying on cabs or a rental car.

Rincon sucks (full of gringos).

Flights to PR are usually very cheap, and people on the island are completely different to Puerto Ricans in the USA. Much less ghetto, for the most part.

PR rules, and definitely shouldn't be ignored.

Not sure why you quoted me here. I wasn't downing guatemalan women. I was just replying to the quote which said they will all bang you if your white. As a non-white, I was just adding that I received a very warm reception as well.
