How can I short this or bet against this project ever succeeding? Serious question.

Even if you do find a way to short this particular project or any other project in the crypto or ICO space, I personally doubt that shorting is a very good strategy in crypto, even if you believe the project to be amongst the dumbest or lacking in foundation because it seems that almost any project can be pumped way beyond expectations and even during unexpected times.

Even dogecoin and siacoin have pumped this last month. If you short a currency you aren’t that smart.

That's the problem. I think if they issue a coin it may "moon", maybe even 10X or more before it goes to zero, but the idea itself is absolute shit.

If this project ever succeeds (by that I mean it becomes say at least 1/5 the current size of Seamless in terms of revenue and market share), quote this post and call me out on it. I will eat my hat.

Edit: yes, I understand that Seamless also works with restaurants but is not exactly in the same niche. There isn't a successful company in this niche even though the technology to enable something like this has been around for years. That's my point.

I am not saying that you are wrong about anything substantively; however, I think that shorting in the crypto space is likely a losing proposition - because partly, there is a kind of wild, wild west out there and sometimes there are pretty ridiculous projects that are able to gain upside traction and momentum, and if they do gain in such direction, then there will likely be a lot of onboarding of folks that are just there to ride the upwards wave.

I personally think that there are a lot of other ways to make money in crypto apart from shorting, but sure, if you figure out a way to do it, then you can play your luck at such shorting roulette table, and maybe you will end up being correct and the thing does not pump and R3ck your short.

The market may stay irrational longer than I will stay solvent.

I may have found the next big thing fo February (In this crypto game you have to be a head of everyone else)

Ontology has sold out by private VC capitalists though and its a shame.

I just finished a presale pool for Kairos. They are rumored to have partnership with Amazon. Thats going to be huge in a couple months. Gotta be a head the curve!

I head this one get shilled on 4chan a while back. I like the fact that they are using Dai which is supposed to be a Tether replacement.

The only issue is is that I don't think that you actually get a piece of the action like you do with KuCoin. I think you just get a discount on trading fees like you do with BNB.

I allowed myself to get fudded into not buying KuCoin. Not making that mistake again.

Yea, I'm trying to get into Gems. It is hugely hyped.

Also PayWithInk is very intriguing. I've made some good money investing in payment platforms (Request, Verify) and I'm going to invest in this one as well.

I just had a quick look and can't work out if the hard cap is 212.5 million USD or 212.5 million of their own tokens which would equal around 28 million dollars if my calculations are correct. Which one is it?

Either way, both prices would still be way too high for me.

The idea seems totally pointless to me. It's a restaurant ordering app, not even for deliveries but literally for ordering your food when you are in a restaurant. I can't imagine any restaurants actually wanting to use this and if they did, I'm sure that they would just develop their own clone of it and wouldn't in a million years accept EMU tokens as payment for their meals. If they already had a partnership with a chain of popular restaurants to use it then maybe it would be interesting but from what I can see, they don't even have one independent restaurant willing to use it.

Sometimes stupid ideas can take off and even if it doesn't have long term potential, you can do a quick flip and make some money but this has just 153 telegram followers and 513 twitter followers .

It's a no from me!

Guys check out Coinvest. I just started a presale pool for nice bonus.

Coinvest is creating a future where users have one platform, one wallet, and one token (COIN), that enables anyone to create a digital investment portfolio to invest in multiple cryptocurrencies. Thereby reducing the cost, risk, and complexity associated with investing in cryptocurrencies on centralized exchanges or investment funds. Centralized third parties that are often needed in traditional investment use cases are replaced with smart contracts that act as autonomous agents and programmatically compensate all users, investors, and owners within the entire Coinvest ecosystem.

Not something I'll go big on but something definitely I'll throw a couple ether in. Especially with the bonus.

RE: The Official Crypto ICO thread
Any US citizens find ways to circumvent the heavy restrictions on entering ICOs?

Was thinking about pooling money with other people to become an 'accredited investor' for pre-sales, finding a non US citizen friend and giving him a cut of the initial tokens, or using my girl's (non US citizen) information with my ETH wallet to get in.

That last one could be a dumpster fire waiting to happen if things between us ever went south.

I'm sure VPN wouldn't work due to KYCs demanding documentation.

I do a lot of presales so I don't have to deal with that KYC nonsense of proof of shill. I suggest you join a group that has access to presales so you don't have to worry about all that nonsense. If you need recommendations of groups I'm sure forum members or I can point you in the right direction.

I did the presale of Axpire. I got a little bit of FOMO thanks to Roger Ver.

Also guys on first glance I like Arcblock ALOT. With all the scalability issues with Ethereum I think this can be the next 100x, the next Eos, the next icon type of play. A lot of FUD today regarding their testnet and their status. I'm going to dig deep and see if I can get more information. If everything checks out I'll invest over 100 ETH into it.

Tommy World Power put out this quality video on researching ICO's today. He provided plenty of great resources. The man always shares so much value.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_conti...2pXUX4yKvY

"I think the opportunities today outweigh anything that's ever existed in the crypto space before." - His take on crypto ICO's in 2018.

Let's get it boys.
