Is it because of the current cultural climate which shames men for showing even a hint of abusive (including behaviors that aren't legitimately abusive) behavior while never mentioning abusive women, therefore only dealing with half of the problem? Aren't women biologically programmed to care for their offspring? How are women who are abusers escaping biology? What is wrong with these people?

Because the women abusing their children are the same self-centred headcases that divorced their husband at the drop of a hat (or never knew his name in the first place) and have blown a fuse trying to raise kids by themselves.

I suppose if half of these kids even had fathers then the statistics might be a little more even.

Right, it might be as simple as opportunity. With custody going to mothers over 80% of the time after divorce, they have the kids more, and so have more opportunity to abuse or kill their children. I'd like to see a study that adjusted for this variable.

Statistically, the safest place for child is in a home with his biological father. Despite that, we continue to make policy that pushes fathers out of homes.

Currently the laws are so incredibly slanted towards women that even psycho-bitches with a legion of criminal abusive boyfriends will get full custody while good simp Beta dad gets zero. I would add the endangerment to violent boyfriends to the list of abuse by women - if you do that, then women don't beat men by a mere 60-40 ratio, they beat men by likely 85-15. And that says it all really considering that we have x-times the testosterone, aggressive potential and sexual drive.

Zelcorpion hits the nail correctly, IMO, while psychological predilections are fun speculation, a lot of it simply comes down to more time spent with children, try by a factor or 2 or 3, easily, even in most hetero relationships.

As I look on it, it is tough to not see the extraordinary evil of such a violent, rapist reproductive scheme were it to arise, especially when contrasted with the K-selected model where men compete and demonstrate fitness in an effort to win the affections of females who stand by them for love and loyalty.
