Oral herpes is harmless and most people have it.. and frankly a higher-than-you'd-expect percentage of people have genital herpes too. Many never show symptoms (outbreak), or the symptoms are so mild and infrequent that they never notice.

Of course, there are people that get outbreaks..

A few years ago I was living in NYC, started talking to a kinky French 8 on Fetlife who lived in Paris.. a few weeks later she had booked her ticket to come see me. Then confessed that she has genital herpes but only ever had one outbreak 2 years prior and takes medication. I did my own homework and wasn't really worried, so decided to roll with it. Never got anything.

90% of humans have HSV1. Other 10% are little kids who get it later. So like 100%.
