Will alts continue to pump after the bitcoin fork?
Alts are starting to see some improvement in price and hopefully it will stay that way until at least a day or two after the bitcoin fork on November 15th.

After everyone has got their forked bitcoin and switched back to the alts, will they dump again? Do you think it would be most profitable to sell your alts directly after the fork when everyone who's all in on bitcoin is trying to switch back to alts or do you think they will continue to rise and are worth holding onto for longer?

The fork has been cancelled.

I'm hearing that a rogue set of miners are pushing it through. Not sure if just a rumour but...

The term "altcoins" implies that Bitcoin has some kind of moral preeminence, which it has not.

Bitcoin is to crypto what Netscape Navigator was to the Internet. Masses flock to Bitcoin because that's all they know, basically.

Yeah with some absurd amount, 30% hash power they said. I don't know how much claim they have to this.

I hope it goes ahead personally, these are turning into pseudo ICO's now with the promise of "free money" so long as you hold BTC. You might as well be signing up to a free air drop of the latest Ethereum color coin. The more of these forks the less pulling power they have on ETH and alts as people start to take them less seriously. This was a great lesson to some who chased a late BTC pump only to lose out on alt positions going +50% or more.

I, for one, would be glad to see this fork madness end for once and all.

But for now, let them fork it and see how that works out for them.

Oh that explains why the alts are suddenly shooting up! Sorry for my ignorance.

So the question remains, now there is no looming fork, do you think they'll continue to go up or is this the peak?

That's the million dollar question. Answer it correctly, you become rich.

My bet is yes, but only certain coins will go up. Many alts will stagnate and slow-bleed into oblivion, however.
