Hey Guys, maybe you can give me some recommendations.

I'll be in Barcelona/Munich in January and was thinking of taking a 10-14 day side trip to Krakow, Lviv, Minsk.

I would start in Krakow (4 days) , spend 3-4 days in Lviv, 4 days in Minsk (Visa policy), give or take.

It is winter and short span, so i'm not expecting bangs. maybe from pipeline. my question is, would you even recommend to visit these places mid winter for gaming, what about for sightseeing? or should i hold off and go later (who knows when)

any advice appreciated

Haven't been to Minsk but Krakow and Lviv are quite similar in many ways.

Both cities have very compact city centers that can be visited in less than a day although Krakow's feels bigger if you add in Kazimierz, the old Jewish area. Both feel like some sort of over sized village where it's not uncommon to stumble upon the same people every night. Both are super cheap and have a young vibe. Nightlife is better in Krakow since you have more variety but you may find that sometimes less is more and Lviv does have some good spots on Friday and Saturday night.
January can be hit or miss. The days will be very short and people won't go out as much because of the shitty weather. I would say the best months to visit are May/June or October/November.

What Pointer said. Krakow is a student city and January is exam period. That means most of them will be at home studying - but also out drinking after a passed/failed exam
