Time to channel my inner 2Wycked and write a long, detailed post about narcissism.

I know some of you guys are fans of the show Archer. I like the show as well. And yet, it burns my chaps.

You see, this show is essentially a very real example of the damaging effect of feminism on American society.



The titular character Archer is a man with absolutely no discipline. None. And yet he's actually a pretty amazing spy. True masculinity revolves not around being the perfect man genetically, but putting in the hard work to become the man that you need to be.

A Profile Of A Natural Alpha

Archer is the natural alpha. He's just simply amazing at all things masculine. He never fails to have women to sleep with, he's an amazing shot with the smallest of handguns, despite never training and he's predictably good at vehicular chases, even performing a perfect PIT maneuver in Season 6, Episode 8, despite only having done it three times before.



There are always going to be a small percentage of men who are naturally skillful with women. They will be described as alphas and envied by many a man, but the truth is that these "natural players" always end up settling down with a ball-busting women that convinces him to marry her millimeters from her hitting the wall. He's quickly demoted to a mere paycheck, grateful to even be permitted one weekend a year to pursuit masculine pastimes.

The truth is that most true masculine men weren't born. They were made. By their own sweat and blood.

This is a fact that no woman wants to acknowledge. This is why there is such an intense emotional backlash against men who stride to improve their game. Women hate the idea of a man improving himself. She's far more comfortable in a world where the only man who find their way into her vaginal regions were born for the mission. The idea that a man could improve himself through hard work and self-education is horrifying to the female mind. This opens the door the possibility of less than perfect genetic material ejaculating within her loins.

The ideal female sexual storyline involves claims of "it just happened" and "it was meant to be." No woman wants a man to be able to choose who he has sex with.

This is why a character like Archer is appealing to women and weak-minded men. He is the ideal archetype from the female perspective. The genetically perfect man who just is, without any conscious effort on his part.

This emphasized by his pervasive immaturity. And yet despite, this, female lead Lana still goes out of her way to steal with sperm and impregnate herself with it, because, as she admits, he's the perfect genetic material.

This is the ultimate consequence of a society that idealizes chivelled man chins and fails to respects the true ingredients that build a healthy community. Strong, sustainable civilizations are built not by the efforts of genetically perfect men, but rather imperfect men who learn to become what they need to be to create the future that they want their off-spring to have. And even more importantly, by the equally sacrificial contributions of the women who pursue not status or superiority, but rather seek to support the imperfect, but ideally motivated men who are offering an equal sacrifice by giving their best years to create a healthy community where their offspring will thrive.

Natural alphas do not give a fuck about their offspring. They just wanna fuck more bitches until even that becomes boring. The real civilization builder isn't the man who was born perfect, but rather the man who was empowered by an equally imperfect female who committed herself to giving him a reason to get out of bed at 6AM every morning (if he slept at all) with the sole purpose to create a better future for those he loves.

Modern women don't want this. They want the perfect man who "just is." As the show Archer demonstrates, it provides great TV entertainment, but fails to breed a healthy community that will withstand the test of time.

The Truly Desirable Woman

Predictably, Archer repeatedly and routinely fails with Lana, the female ideal presented on the show.



Lana is not impressed by Archer's immaturity. She admires his genetic material, but can't be in a relationship with him, because he behaves like a child. She's not like the other women who come and go in Archer's life. She's a constant, a woman worth respecting.

Unlike attractive, but low IQ women who routinely fall for Archer, she isn't impressed by him (beyond his clearly optimal genetic material). Rather, she knows the difference between a quality man and one not worth wasting time on. Naturally, they are coworkers, so she is forced to deal with him on a regular basis, which gives her an excuse for staying involved in his life while maintaining her feminist qualifications.

Some readers might point out that Lana struggles to actually lockdown any quality man. The more observation observer will point out that this is the feminist ideal -- the woman who has chosen a career over finding the perfect man. In truth, she's a useless bitch who can't even cook, but that's not how the show paints her. Rather, while Archer is a terrible father, she's a surprisingly wonderful mother who quickly adapts to the role, further fueling the myth that women are simply amazing with children and can "have it all™" without sacrificing. Have a career and children, you go girl!

Keep Your Guard Up

Archer is just one more example of why we need to keep our guard up while viewing modern Hollywood media. It all fucking sucks.

I love you Suits, but Archer is an excellent show and entertaining with lots of jokes that can be rather highbrow. It is also animation so none of the regular rules apply. Good day sir........ I said good day!!!!

I haven't watched this show but I imagine it's a cartoon version of James Bond with more comedy and irony then the movies. At least the character is clearly based on popular image of James Bond

I have never quite liked James Bond - precisely because he is too prefect without ever putting in any effort into it. Unlike for other cinematic heroes James Bond never has a training montage or a moment of vulnerability with a fallowing moment of doubling down on his concentration, fighting and self improvement. James Bond is a bad example for real men on how to be an alpha - wearing nice suits when doing dirty work, drinking impossible amounts of alcohol and flirting with women when doing serious job is not a good example to follow. In my experience it's women who like James Bond movies and all the copycat "spy movie genre" more then men men because there we have an alpha man born not made.

As a man viewing life trough prism of self improvement I dislike similar movies - their plot is predictable, we all know the spy protagonist will win in the end, there is no other sympathetic character to feel for.

I much rather like action movies about a team of heroes like Expendables and Predator, where each man team member has it's own strength and weaknesses, where teamwork and friendship between men is shown as a good thing instead of one man dominating all others. These movies are still building and exaggerated picture of masculinity but one that's more worth fallowing and you can not quite be sure that all members are going to survive. So it's more interesting and less predictable. If the movie is a bout a single hero then I prefer the likes of Rocky or John McClane who have both strengths and some quirks and feel like real people.

As far as I am concerned the life is too complex for a man to be a natural in everything. Every man must at some point put in the effort and a picture of a man who get's it all the male version of Mary Sue is just a fantasy. A female fantasy and a fantasy of men who don't want to put in any effort, I really don't see alphas either natural or self-made caring much about such a character.

I haven't watched Archer but I used to enjoy its precursor, Sealab 2021.

I think with humor it's always difficult to separate a glorification of a lifestyle from a critique.

Archer is similar to the Kingsman or the lead in Kung Fury or Buckaroo Banzai. It's a caricature of a Mary Sue, someone who is seemingly perfect and skates through life in a way that seems absurdly inhuman.

The only way to really get anything out of this is as a meta-satire of Mary Sues because on their own, characters like this are boring.

The creative team behind Archer, Seth MacFarlane, Seth Green (Robot Chicken), James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy), the one thing all of these guys have in common is a desire to poke fun back at the tropes themselves in a self-conscious way.

My point is that you can't really take stuff like Archer too literally. I'm not sure it really has much of a political agenda.

It's more legitimate to analyze someone like Rey as a modern feminist Mary Sue in Star Wars, because that's NOT intended to be a parody.

Now where does all this relate to what women want?

A true natural alpha, someone without flaws, has perfect healthy genes, it's all great but it's boring. You'd have to ask women if that's really what they want, but it seems like women look for guys who are slightly imperfect. The Flynn Rider Rogue like in Tangled, basically. They have to tame the wild stallion. Perfect alpha is impossible just as a perfect 10 SMV is with women because all human beings have some element of self-doubt, even if it's largely imaginary. If someone seems like a perfect alpha, they're probably just good at hiding their flaws.

Guys are supposed to know how to naturally handle a woman.

A guy is naturally supposed to know how to go about achieving greatness.

A guy is naturally supposed to know how to be successful in his own way.

We live in a fucked up culture that fucks with those natural predispositions. But there are guys who have kept those qualities.

So all I see is a bitter post about how you have to work for 6s while others don't have too. Less critique more shitting on the guys who naturally got it.

Sad to say for the purposes of your argument but 70-80% of naturals end up just fine. There's just a significant minority that fuck up.

Suits it's a comedy show that makes it completely obvious at every turn that it shouldn't be taken seriously. Unlike shows that pretend to be serious and educative (*cough* Big Bang Theory *cough*), this one really hammers that point to the bone.

It's also weird to make a super long post about the natural alpha quality of a cartoon character that kind of epitomizes the TDH archetype. When you look like him, 9 times out of 10 you're going to be a natural alpha, it boils down to physical attributes.

It's a dumb show I admit I've watched in the past to pass the time but I've never analysed it in this way. I didn't see that OP is framing the discussion to dislike alphas (maybe with the exception of ones that abandon their offspring) but it's clear that western society is at a level now where alphas are the only ones that matter and the rest are invisible utility robots - This show and many others seems to reflect that. Since there is no war or famine and woman can get jobs the woman's standards for men are measured in genetics, not so much other qualities that mattered for survival in the past. Many of these TV shows are completely vacuous but seem to accurately showcase the kinds of men that are valued in current times and Archer is one of the tropes.

Lots of butthurt in this thread. I see that I've really hurt the feelings of the guys who have built a personal identity around being a natural alpha.

I'm guessing that these "natural alphas" missed a few obvious clues in my post and ended up taking it waaaaaaay too seriously.

Actually, you do mince words, routinely and consistently. In a recent post of yours, you accused me of being "bitter" and then after I took you down a few pegs, you went into full retreat mode by claiming that you were "just joking." I don't think your way of interacting with others is as logical and straightforward as you believe. In my experience, it is only truly weak people who believe wholeheartedly that anyone who disagrees with them is automatically wrong. This can easily be spotted when someone reacts with full-blown anger to any opinion that doesn't match their worldview.

I've been watching it here and there when I need to lighten up ,as sometimes I need more comedy in my life.

I mean, it's a show that pulls no punches on heckling gays, beta males, women with man hands, fat broads pining for dick, easy sluts, guys who dream of perfecting virtual women because they can't get real ones, and the psychological damage done by single mothers who expose their children to their careless behavior. Even Lana's SJW attitude (I'm a strong "black" woman who takes no shit from anyone) is ridiculed at times - hence her sticking with a spineless little wuss of a man out of her need for control when it's obvious her biology makes her desire a real man.

It's all farfetched and exaggerated, as is expected with comedy, but personally, I've been pleased by the show's willingness to spare no one, even the pc crowd, in laughing at life. Sure, Archer is genetically blessed, but if you're serious about that, you may be overthinking the show. 1) that's kind of the point - he's a silly caricature of the mythic heroes we admire in real shows of this nature - and it's supposed to be funny how easy he does what he does on all fronts, and 2) he's at least unapolegitically male, which our TV shows need right now.

His character also makes room for a lot of material highlighting what we might call red pill truths.

It's not the funniest thing I've ever seen, and the humor runs its course after a few episodes if you watch them back to back. But over all I think it's a pretty entertaining if you've got some time to kill.

It's a fun show. It's actually on a very short list of shows that I would enthusiastically recommend.

I watched in when I was in college and have recently been catching up on several seasons that I missed. Seasons 1-4 do have the problem of being somewhat repetitive, but Season 5 goes on a story arch that offers some interesting character responses to new conditions and keeps you eager to watch the next episode. I'm currently on Season 6, which also successfully incorporates some new elements that successfully build on past seasons, while introducing new varied plotlines.

If a woman is hating on you for bettering yourself in ways - be it hitting the gym, doing something to increase your cash or buying new clothes, whatever - 99% of the time its something else you're putting out there that she's not into, ot maybe she just decided she wasn't into you in the first place. Never forget, no matter how much game you learn and how many broads you fuck, you'll never be as perceptive as the large majority of women.

I mean, Archer is alright I guess - it's not the greatest shit in the history of life like some of my friends once claimed it was, but it's decently funny.
