About me : Average height , looks, exotic features, speak British English and French.

I am 29 and at crossroads in life where I need to make a decision pretty soon how to plan my 30s. I worked all my 20s as a freelance cameraman shooting music videos and festival aftermovies going on tours with medium to big djs and filming festival aftermovies in the summer. It was a lot of fun and insane life experience but came with a lot of uncertainity, financial insecurity and lacking control over my life that I am finding myself too old to keep at it.

In 2017 I went to settle down in my hometown London thinking I will build myself there but reintegration hit me like a culture shock. I also realised how good I had it travelling around continental Europe where birds flocked towards me and found me exotic as opposed to loud, chavy trashy below average birds with attitudes in UK. Also in UK the average salary vs expenses ratio leads to a extremely poor quality of life where 70 percent or more of your salary goes towards just rent for a small single room, food and transport if you have a average basic job. I found there was too much competition to find work in video making and pay was low and it was going to take me a couple of years to build my name and reputation that I was reluctant to invest in a place I wasnt happy staying.

So having wasted another year on the UK experiment and finding out its not for me I am looking for pastures new. Ideally I want to find a decent sized city where I could initially find a job either in media as videomaker or unskilled work like bar tender or hotel frontdesk to help pay the bills while I network and build my video business up. Maybe also give me some creative space to produce some youtube videos etc.

I have an English and French passport so Australia or NZ I can only stay 2 year max. Canada would be easier given I speak french too and can figure out a way to extend my stay I am sure.

Scandinavia would have no visa issues as they are part of the EU however they are expensive countries and I really dont know if i can find work as a bar tender with my English or French until my camera business gets going. Anyone with any tips on how to find jobs in Oslo or Stockholm/Gothenburg as an English /French speaker let me know please.
Other than that I really find myself attracted to the Norway, Sweden social system quality of life and that I find the birds there gorgeous and they show me just as much love.

I see myself happy in a place where it wouldnt be hard to afford a nice studio or 1bed apartment with a basic salary where I will invest my 30s being creative on the side producing cool youtube videos, collaborating with some artists djs etc and hopefully somewhere where my exotic value cuts me some slack.

I have above average extremely elevated game and getting laid hasnt been an issue for me anywhere ever however it does feel nice to be accepted as a 7-8 compared to London where I felt like a 5

In my shoes where would you go?

Which City?

I am open to suggestions outside of the countries I mentioned.

Are you an experienced bartender? If so, you should be able to find work in Scandinavia with just English. A lot of bartenders and waiters are foreginers who don't know the local languages these days.

I've lived in Australia and Canada and been to both Sweden and Norway.
The women in Scandinavia smoke the women in Australia and aside from Montreal being any competition they smoke the ones in Canada.
There are plenty of hot ones in Vancouver and Toronto but the attitudes aren't worth it.

I think I fucked up not living in Norway when I had the chance with a holiday visa...

Canada sucks!

I’ve lived in Montreal for about 20 months. Terrible city, brutal winters, stone cold bitches and nightlife is dead during the week and sundays. Quality might be high compared to other Canadian cities but it’s not worth it. I’ve honestly just stopped approaching the last few months there, counting the days when I’d leave that shithole.

I’ve lived in Toronto for about 7 months. Thirstiest cucks I have ever seen in my life, spending 1000s on women just to get their dick wet. Most spoiled bitches I have ever seen, on top of that, gold diggers and attention whores. The only good thing here is you get to meet girls from other parts of the country that tend to be much nicer and dtf. Also keep in mind, the rent is insane here! 1700 CAD minimum for a 1 bedroom downtown when you can get the same shit in other cities (except Vancouver) for like 900 CAD. Keep in mind a huge % of the city is ugly ass Asian and Indian girls, I wouldnt waste my time here. Some girls tend to be really hot like the Italians and Soviets here but they take too much effort.

When looking at NZ, this leaves Auckland, Wellington and possibly Christchurch. While not on London levels, accommodation in Auckland is very expensive and salaries are generally not high enough to compensate for that. At the edge of the city (it's a massive sprawl) rent is much cheaper but good luck getting to work near/in the city centre in under one or even two hours, depending on location. Public transport is fucked so everyone goes by car, causing the perhaps worst traffic jams in the Western World.

Wellington is better, but smaller and not much cheaper. It would probably be the only place in the country that could offer what you're looking for.

I went to Christchurch five months ago and it still looks as dead as it was after the earthquakes in 2010.

Since you speak French, why not try France? Just have a look at the reports here on the forum, and maybe men like Dalaran1991 can give you some hints. Scandinavia is a great place but the weather, prices and mentality is not for everyone. I think you'd have a better time in Central/Western Europe.

For me London is a crappy city to live in as a 20 or 30 year old guy but still way better than anything you can find in Canada.

Why not go to Southern Europe ? A place like Ibiza would fit you or if you want a bit city then Barcelona or Madrid are good choices.

If you hate London I don't see how your attitude would change in Canada. Being a Canadian citizen I can tell you that no city in Canada is better than London in terms of jobs, weather, cultural events or lifestyle in general.

The Canadian dollar is basically worth toilet paper these days. Even after spending 70% of your UK income on rent and food you'd still be left with more money in the bank than a guy who saves 50% if his salary in CAD.

Former New Yorker living in Oslo. Oslo is not for the faint of heart, but if you aren't shy and sporty (and can deal with the cold a few extra hours of darkness for a few months), it's an amazing place. The women are out of this world, but are deservedly selective and understandably so - the men here are tall, chiseled, educated, and progressive - if a bit shy themselves. No place I've been to will match the logistics, quantity and diversity of NYC - but at this stage in my life, I prefer the quality over quantity. From a career perspective, Oslo is an up and coming city and has the financial resources to sustain its development - arts, music, restaurants and bars. PM me if you'd like more detailed info.

Montreal is a great place if you are black (big Haitian community) and the girls can dress as good as scandinaviam chicks. However its hard to crack the code here(girls can be a bit scared of non-quebecers). Diverse city with a lot of anglo chicks if you can't get any with french canadian chicks or girls from France.

The London accent is a HUGE + here, two of my exes loved the accent and many girl friends too.

Thanks so much for all your input. Really a lot of valuable information in there and hopefully someone in similar situation as me now or in future can benefit from it as its turning out to be very informative.

Addressing all the points raised

@Akwesi - No I am not an experienced bartender. As a matter of fact I have worked admin jobs in my late teens but only ever worked as a cameraman/editor in my 20s. I have no manual labour skills so any job has to be pretty basic.

@Quaestum - France is not an option for me. This is not a country which holds any exotic charm for me or vice versa. I have had enough of France and French women in my life. Paris is charming but paris has all of the same issues as London ie low salary, ridiculous rent and ghetto/low standard of living unless you are in the top 10 percent which I am clearly not.

For those saying if I dont like UK I wont like Canada or Australia, I would just like to point out that our experiences would be much different depending on our individual profiles. I understand Canadians saying dont come to Canada and Aussies / Kiwis saying dont come to Australia and NZ.
Thats exactly same as me saying UK is no good neither is France. My value is lowest in these two countries and I gain ZERO exotic values here and I get ZERO amusement in being in these countries. For me both North America and Oceania are continents I have never lived in and I would find them charming/exotic in places locals would not. Please note I have spent all my 20s as a travelling music video producer in Europe so I have squeezed out all of the fun from central/western and Eastern Europe and cashed in big time having airbnb over extended periods of time in Germany, Spain, France, Switzerland, Slovenia, Poland, Croatia, Serbia etc I would continue living the airbnb dream life but its hard to build your future that way and Id sooner invest myself in a western country and build myself up along with financial security.

I havent ventured out in Scandinavia because of it being over the top expensive but always found their women beautiful and social reforms interesting.

At 29 after having lived the vagabond lifestyle for long, the possibility of having a comfortable clean 1 bedroom apartment where I can date a 8 while getting some side action time to time holds a lot of value. I CANNOT have this in London with a basic salary.

During my travels I have met girls from North America and Australia who were very receptive to me and easy lays due to my accent similar to what MrRoundtree confirms. Same with Scandinavian chicks. In short outside of UK and France as a caramel skinned guy with British accent who also speaks french gives me a major boost not only with women but also in life. Also outside of Europe Canada, Australia are spacious countries where having a modest 1bedroom apartment with a basic salary is more achievable whereas in London or Paris forget about it.

I have rechecked the visa situation and I realised to get a working holiday visa in Australia for 2 years I must work at least 3 months fruitpicking in the farm which I am reluctant to do and also I can only work with one employer a maximum of 6 months which is bound to put some employers off. Canada will give me a 2yr visa with open work permit no questions asked and due to me speaking French and having commonwealth passport it might be easier in the long run to stay in Canada indefinitely compared to Australia where literally my only option to extend my stay beyond the 2 years would be to marry a Aussie fattie.

So I figure its a toss up between Canada or Scandinavia. I am willing to give Canada a chance as they are anglophone and it would be easier for me to find work as a receptionist or admin while building my camera business up. I will keep looking for media jobs in Stockholm or Oslo in case something pops up.

The plan would be to move to a city hit up the media production companies and see if there is any work while I advertise for wedding videos in the summer and build up connections with the local DJs and musicians and shoot videos for them. Which city in Canada be good for that?

If anyone knows how to get a unskilled job or work within the media in Canada or Scandinavia let me know.

Again I don't want to oversell Montreal but in the media/web/lightning/videos business it's probably the best city in Canada. ( Pixmob is from here and lot of big conpanies who did the Superbowl and Sochi olympics lightning shows). It's also the cheapest major city in Canada ( you can stay close to Downtown while paying 600-700$ for a decent flat, alone).It's also a major foodie destination. 4 universities means a lot of students and the city feels young. There are also many many festivals, even in the middle of winter.

Downsides are the cold winters and certain areas with lot of hipster chicks. The very hot sexy dressed Quebecer can be very tough to crack if they are from the suburbs and you are not Quebecer. And its not easy to crack a Quebecer social circle. I would say Londoners though have the highest chance of projecting a cool vibe and get accepted by most.

Can’t you live in a smaller city outside London where things are cheaper? Why do you need to be in Central London. I think a city like Brighton would be good. Cost of living would be low and you would have a great life.

I'll chime in shortly that the housing situation in Stockholm and Sweden in general is quite bad atm.
You have basicly have a 10 year que for a rental if you dont have connections and that leaves you to buy immedietly. Not the ideal situation but it can be done with med tier citys and go on trips to the baltics, EE, CE etc.
I do think there are better countries as of this time.

I've found a cheap place (connections) and am able to save quite abit to travel to eastern Europe and such places.

Seems like the main issue everyone in London is facing. We earn, but 70% goes on rent, bills, travel. Which forces you to either cohabit with one of your solid harem chics (risky) which then cock blocks you. Or move back with parents which once again cock blocks you.

If there was a way the Londoners on this forum (23-35 y.o) could get together to flatshare and get our rent down to about £350 a month each, and use the apartment as a think tank for crypto currency, money making, investing, game. It would allow everyone to earn, have minimal expense and also travel.

im youtube surfing today and just come across this guy day gaming in Russia and the level of women is great, not sure if these guys stage their stuff though, but the girls seem sweet and approachable. Firstly in London you would not even see women like that around in the day time on a daily basis. you can see 1000s of people and not see anything note worthy. I am in the same situation. Only problem is that I have a niche in London; leaving the city now would be counter productive. Having done the expat lifestyle before, I can vouch for the grass being greener on the otherside in terms of lifestyle. Although a lot of young men find themselves in the position of the OP. In the way that they have all these adventures but lack any sort of stability and career/business, when that sort of stuff starts to matter.


As for Russia, yes it is a great place, along with the rest of Eastern Europe. However from my own personal experience, British guys and Western men usually ruin it by bringing their values to these countries. That in turn change the attitudes of local women.

This is something that does not get touched upon much on this forum. The same men who talk endlessly about wanting traditional women, still brag about ONS with Eastern European girls who are in long term relationships with local men.

When these men do form relationships with the girls over there, I see them time and time again ruin them; by being too soft. Shows that you cannot escape inner game, wherever you end up.


I remember meeting a guy from South England who would rant on and on about Russian culture and how 'backwards' it is. Yet at the same time, he had a wife that could legitimately be a model, something he would never have got if he stayed in the U.K. Further to that he had a piss easy job teaching English and making $2k a month on it. Talk about being ungrateful and in denial.

Visited OSLO - Toronto and lived in Montreal and Ottawa : my advices

-Avoid Canada , in Norway i met more hot down to earth girls , ONS is commun in Oslo

- If you decide Canada ; i really recommand Ottawa , specially if you are white dude . why ? the city have lots of hot white girls and ratio is awlays good (Ottawa have way more womens than mens)
Other than that , if you choose Montreal , you killed yourslef . The most spoiled bitches in North America. ,Montreal doesnt have more hot girls than the rest of Canada as many pretend however , Montreal have more exotic girls for North American standards (french background girls vs Birtish background for the rest of Canada) . in Montreal , no complain about the quality but the attitude really sucks . a 3/10 girls in MTL can act like 7/10 and iam not kidding. Nightlife sucks , but clubs close at 3 versus 2 in Ontario.

Toronto girls are less quality than Montreal , however attiude is a bit better. lets say a 5/10 acts like 7/10. If you are into white girls , you might not like Toronto at all. Nightlife sucks too , in the way that clubs close at 2 AM , which is too early.




I know US is not in your list , but US girls attitude is way better . I have been to NYC . it was really a paradise , girls are thirsty as fuck there ,Nightlife is amaaaazing. I personnaly find US girls way more fun , more sexual and less pretentious , picky than Canadians.
