Top 10 Cryptocurrencies of 2018

Cannot remember who gave this man a name drop in here but I watched one of his videos and it was quite interesting. I have no idea if he knows what he is talking about or not but he sounds reasonably learned.

Any crypto studs here care to share their thoughts?

If you don't want to watch the whole thing, his top 10 and their price prediction for 2018 are:

TRX $1.50
ETH $2,000
ADA $8
QSP $4
CVC $10
BTC $150k
EOS $50
KMD $200
REQ $6.50
ICX $50

Agree/disagree? What would you replace, what would you replace it with, and why?

Note: It's supposed to be a list of coins good to buy and hold for 2018, not for pumps or trades.

RE: Top 10 Cryptocurrencies of 2018
Wow! Looking at those prices I should be an easy multimillionaire in 2018 and that’s an understatement knowing how my investments are.

I missed out on Icon ICO but that’s the last big time platform ICO I’ll ever miss out on. I this is the year of the DAPPS. The reason I say that is a lot of these decentralized apps are coming out with actual products this year. Two that come to mind our Augur and Golem. So look out for those two. They’ll make some huge runs in 2018.

Platform wise I think RSK is going to be huge as well as Ontology. They haven’t even had their ICOs yet but it’s a no brained choosing them to make huge runs in 2018.

As far as top 10 is concerned of course Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Ethereum will be there. As far as their prices I really can’t put a number on any. All I know is it’s foing to multiple from today’s prices by a very large margin.

Cheers to 2018!

Good list, but I think this guy is overlooking privacy coins like Monero, PIVX, Particl, etc. Privacy coins should have a big, big year in 2018.

I think he included them in his "low risk" portfolio, this is his "medium risk" portfolio.

Can you elaborate a bit on Golem and Augur and why you like them?

Ethereum and Bitcoin are in his "medium risk" portfolio? Considering something like 50 out of the top 100 CMC coins run on Ethereum, I'd say ETH is very low risk.

As a general rule, I don't listen to people who run YouTube channels, and do price predictions. The guys who are real experts are behind their computer programming away or developing frameworks for governance and other blockchain-related issues. But then again, I'm looking at fundamentals and very long term holds, not pump and dumps.

EOS and CVC stand out to me as questionable coins. His price prediction for ETH seems on the very conservative side (ETH is already close to $900...$2000 is nothing for a year). I'm not impressed.

But that's only my.opinion.

His "safe" portfolio and their price predictions for 2018 was:

XMR $750
BTC $150k
OMG $175 (he sounded extremely bullish on this)
LTC $1,000
QTUM $100
ETH $2,500
EOS $50
KYBER $25
GNV $100 (said this one's more risky but interesting)
NEO $400

Gas,

I’ve talked about Golem and Augur here before. You can just look back on my posts about why I like them. As far as why I think they’ll be big gainers in 2018 is the fact that their apps are actually coming out this year (as far as alphas and betas). I think both will be a success but even upon news on the exact date of the released the price will skyrocket. These apps have been long anticipated.

150k BTC? lol

That sounds...questionable, but I hope it happens.

I will be checking my PMs weekly, so you can catch me there. I will not be posting.

RE: Top 10 Cryptocurrencies of 2018
I doubt TRX will get to 1.50. It's already sitting at 11.4 Billion market cap at 0.17 (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/tron/), so the odds of it 9X to 1.50 seem very slim.

Also reading the white paper (https://dn-peiwo-web.qbox.me/Tron-Whitep...8-EN.pdf), I can't help but think this is just a ridiculous scam. They literally name the stages of the crypto currency with hilarious names such as "Star Trek", in which they say : "Developers can freely build online gaming platforms through TRON" and "Eternity", where they say "Developers can freely set up game platforms through TRON, achieve crowd funding for game development, and common investors can contribute to game content creation.".

How much are gaming platforms really worth? Definitely not where the target price is for this cryptocurrency (referring to the 1.50 price prediction).

Now this is not the only use case for the currency, and the price can definitely rise due to speculation, but the fundamentals of this crypto currency are sorely lacking, IMO, compared to other cryptos with more solid fundamentals (i.e. XLM, REQ)

If BTC goes to 150k and stuff like Eth, Neo and Monero barely move (relatively speaking), I'll eat my MAGA hat.

The current mania fueling these incredibly inflated prices is not sustainable. Two years left, tops. There will probably be a major crash before the end of 2018.
