So IMO

The money is to be made in these coins which aren't necessarily on peoples' radars yet.

Buy the rumor, sell the news - all that shit.
Coins like RaiBlocks (XRB) are solid (if you've used it you'll know what I mean) but they've already been pumped and astronomical gains here on out are probably unlikely (but who knows cuz crypto).

The coin has only hit exchanges as of a week ago or so.
You can get it on Kucoin now and it's slated to hit Huobi, a big-time Chinese exchange, probably this month.

I see it as a potential NEO. Not really known in the West yet and their site and overall presentation isn't up to speed because they don't English. It could probably 5-10x off hype alone (long-term their goals sound ambitious but maybe they can achieve them).

DBC is currently ~$0.16. Imagine getting into NEO at $0.16.

Whilst the team has great connections and successful previous ventures, what is holding it back is terrible English marketing.

Just look at this:

Completely amateur. But, I think this project will still continue to grow in the short-term just based on their partnerships and anything AI being popular.

This has potential. The english thing is small, you can actually directly contact these teams and offer to do all their english marketing for them. I wouldn't be above it, because imagine if something like this had rock-solid english proofreading?

It's better to ask those questions in the newbie questions thread, but you have to get an account with a website like coinbase that accepts your country and the payment method you want to use. Buy some Ethereum and then sign up with a marketplace website that you can buy DBC with ETH, I would also recommend Kucoin.

Again, I won't pretend I understand AI or even blockchain but when you're sponsoring AND delivering a keynote speech at an event with basically all of the TOP luminaries in the crypto space, something tells me your project is probably legit.

DBC currently sits at $0,001635 with a market cap of only $2.4m.

No other crypto with the potential and fundamentals of DBC has been wrecked that hard during the 1 year bear market as DBC has.

If DBC ever reaches its alltime high again (~0.63$) in the next bullrun, you are looking at a 385x from its current price. And that would put DBC "only" at a market cap of ~1 billion, which is totally doable in a crazy bull market (for reference: at the peak of the last bull market, a market cap of 1 billion would have put you at rank #42 in the crypto space).

During the 1 year bear market, the team continued to publish progress reports and the whole project seems to have advanced very well. Their marketing still has a lot of room for improvement, but at least their website is now also available in Russian, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai and Turkey. Their training net is live now and they are starting to build real world infrastructure (e.g. a blockchain research center in Silicon Valley). They are also building and selling AI Mining Machines now. They sold more than $100m in AIMs in their pre-sale alone.

So far, I haven't found a reason why DBC got wrecked so hard, compared to other projects. This is a great opportunity for 2019 and 2020. If you believe that there will ever be another bullrun, a 100x for DBC is a very conservative prediction.

There is no oppurtunity here. This is just another Chinese soft exit scam.

One of the big pump and dumps of the year. The only reason it got to that all time high is because of hiring a market maker to pump their price so they can dump it to shit. Don’t be naive and think it was anything else. Just another project collecting funds promising shit and will deliver nothing.

The price has dumped to shit for two reasons.
1) The market is dead.
2) This project is dead.

If you “believe” in cryptocurrency then invest in Bitcoin/Monero or something worthwhile. Not an exit scam.

I know DBC (and other alts) appear "cheap" at these prices, but it's worthwhile to zoom in and quit looking at the 2017 prices.

Over the past month, DBC has lost 50%+ of its USD value.

The trend is your friend.

I've been following their telegram groups for a few months off and on. Compared to complete garbage like PDX, they almost seem like they can pull up from 42. I bought about $50 worth as a joke. I will admit their admins at least make it seem like everything is going to work out eventually. Right now the team is almost silent, no one is updating social media, the CEO and roadmap is non-existent. I feel like how could it not be at the very bottom. There's nothing to be hopeful about but it appears the team is actually working or it's 100% a complete scam and the photos of team meetings are illegitimate. Either way, it would be nice to see it hit 25-30 and make a double on any positive news. It's still probably a waste of time but I'd put in $500-$1,000 at 25-30. t.me/DBClounge

Since RagnarLothbrok posted on 2018-12-26, this coin is sitting at almost 2X in USD. Vincent Chase is right that this coin is a total piece of shit, but it does look like there is some opportunity in these low cap coins that are maintaining a small amount of volume. This one has been averaging around 200k-300k USD daily volume over this time period.
