CNN article: There's never been a better time to be single
http://archive.is/gRUjG
Not surprisingly, the article fails to dig deeper into reasons people are delaying or foregoing marriage.
The only part of the analysis that looks at trends for a particular gender is:
Quote:Part of the mythology of marriage, long bolstered by the writings of social scientists, is that people who marry become healthier than they were when they were single. After all, the logic goes, married couples get all that loving support from each other, and they make sure their spouses are taking care of themselves. But three big methodologically sophisticated studies published in 2017 shook our faith in that idea.
...
With just one exception, every significant finding favored the women who either stayed single instead of marrying, or who got divorced instead of staying married. For example, the women who married gained more weight and drank more than those who stayed single.
The women who divorced ate healthier, exercised more, and had smaller waists than the women who stayed married. (The one exception was that the women who divorced were more likely to start smoking than the women who stayed married.)
Once again, the authors found a surprising conclusion that should be no surprise to anyone here.

A woman alone without masculine pressence will by default self-destruct. A woman alone will be in a constant state of missery, trying to hold up a "happy" facade - Rationalizing every bad decition.
A man alone is Free. Working on his financial, bodyily and mental state of being and can tailor his life to his desire and capability.
Women growing fat in a relationship is her assurence by the state and her probably beta huaband that whatever state she is in, she has him by the f*cking balls.
The Powers that rule this society also have an intrest, keeping her on the Carousel of c*cks and spending on useless trash.
Also not breeding, is the work to depopulate this world.

RE: CNN article: There's never been a better time to be single
The author's data actually just proves everything we talk about on here. She just came to different conclusions based on the data.
No way in hell though you could convince me that isolation is a good thing long term. Women seem to handle isolation very poorly, especially as they get older and stop getting attention from men.
When I traveled by myself for about 2 years, the worst part was not having good friends to hang out some days and having to constantly meet new people. That gets very tiring after a while.
The article has an interest quote here as well.
And in the third study, sociologist Dmitry Tumin surveyed more than 12,000 adults in the U.S. who got married for the first time to see if they described their general health as better after they married or better when they were single.
He broke down the data several ways: He examined men's marriages separately from women's; he conducted separate analyses of the marriages of people born in different decades; he evaluated marriages that lasted for different lengths of time.
In all the scenarios he looked at, with one exception, the people who got married never reported being healthier. The exception was for the oldest women (born between 1955 and 1964) whose marriages lasted at least ten years, who considered themselves slightly healthier.
Note this. Women before 1964 considered them healthier in this study. Wait when was second-wave feminism? Like 1965?

Suicide rate for middle-aged women jumps by 63 percent

I bet she would.interpret this as 'men are too blame for so many middle age women committing suicide!'
