Gyno or skinny fat? Surgery?
Hi all,

I’m currently a bit skinny fat but I’m working on shifting some lard.

Based on previous body weights, I only have to get 10-15 pounds gone to look fairly good in clothes. No muscle or anything, but that’s a different issue.

However, even when I am fairly lean, I still seem to have slight gyno.

Few pics of me in my current skinny fat state here:

Has anyone else had/have this?

Done surgery?

Thanks for any thoughts.

Fuck no to surgery. Just clean your diet up and start building muscle. The fat will fall off and become less noticeable as you gain muscle.

Battling skinnyfatness without gaining muscle mass would be never-ending battle with no reward because no girl wants a skinny muscleless guy.

Look into Starting Strength or another beginner program and follow it to the letter.

You could easily have a decent body within a year.

You need to replace that 10-15lbs of fat with 10-15lbs of muscle.

Because you are probably relatively untrained it shouldn't take too long if you dedicate yourself to it.

I went through this at the end of 2015 when I was a skinnyfat former run with bad knees who was becoming more "fat" and less "skinny." I cleaned up my diet big league (little to no carbs and almost no sugar) basically a paleo diet and I started boxing. Dude it was incredible. I lost about 40 pounds of fat and gained probably 15 pounds of muscle or so. I went from doing 0 pull ups to hitting my goal of 20 pull ups. Clean the diet up and hit a good work out routine bro, it works.

Quote:"St. Gregory of Nyssa devotes a special treatise to the 'Life of Moses', in which the assent of Mount Sinai towards the darkness of incomprehensibility represents the way of contemplation, superior to Moses' first meeting with God when appeared to him in the burning bush. Then Moses saw God in light; now he enters the darkness, leaving behind him all that can be seen or know; there remains to him only the invisible and unknowable, but in this darkness is God."

One Q; I’m about to turn 31.

Is there much of a difference starting this at this age than say 25?

Regardless, I’m doing it. Just curious.

Also; one issue I have is muscle soreness after work outs last for me a solid 3 days. I sleep well and eat good. Any other stuff I should try?

Cheers.

No not really any difference due to age. 31 is still young.

Will take more willpower but process is still the same.

The muscle soreness is always the worst when you are doing an exercise you haven't done before / recently. If you keep it up your body should adjust and the soreness won't be nearly as bad.

You could try a tumeric / curcumin suppliment, I find I recover a lot faster when I use it.

Another thing to try is cold showers or even ice baths, some pro athletes use this to help with a faster recovery.

Also make sure to stretch properly after workouts if you are not already doing that.

Post here when you do mate, cause that seems to be a rare thing round here.

Good luck.

RE: Gyno or skinny fat? Surgery?
Listen, you should improve yourself though exercise, lifting, diet, etc. That is the long term plan, do that for yourself.

But don't use this as an excuse to not game. There are dudes a lot fatter, skinnier, older, out of shape getting girls. Trust me, I"m one of them.

There are women out there who want you to approach, and you'll make their day when you do.

There are countless excuses one can make - money, height, weight, fitness, location, etc. Just don't make excuses. Its easy to make excuses, what you need to do is try anyway. Guys on this site who can make more excuses than you are having success. Its very possible, I have seen it. Improve yourself but don't let self improvement be your excuse.

4 sets of 30-50 (or as many as you can at the start) push ups every second day will turn those into pecs to be proud of.

Fuck no to surgery, what the hell man! From looking at the pictures, your problem looks to be 90% poor diet and 10% lack of physical activity. Read some of the keto or paleo threads here. Lay off the grains, sugar and food that comes in boxes with pretty logos and eat more real meat and vegetables. Also, go outside some time, it's nice out here.
