How to deal with tantrums. . .
Alright Gentlemen,

So I went out last night with a few friends and this woman I have been seeing for the past couple months. She says she has to go to the bathroom well coincidentally I did too. I leave the bathroom and don't see her so I went to look for my friends. Upon my return I see she finally found her way out of the bathroom. Well, she was really upset with me. She wanted to know why I had left her alone and made a huge deal out of it.

I will admit that I was a little irritated at the whole situation but did my best to hide it. She demands her phone from me, okay cool. She runs off to the bar so I walk over to my friends and basically ignored her. I then realized that there were too many good looking women around me to waste my night so I walked over to her and gave her whatever else she wanted me to hold for her and went back to the group. She walked past us a few times then came up to me wanting her purse which happened to be in the vehicle we rode in which was not mine.

So I walked out to the vehicle and brought her purse back and went on with my night. She sent me some really long texts the next morning asking why I left her by the bathroom and also saying that she understands that my friends are more important to her. None of it sounded like and apology to me so I didn't bother with replying.

Any advice on these kinds of situations? How did I do? Is there any way I could've handled this better?

TLDR: Date threw a fit because I left her alone by the bathrooms at the club.

Thanks Gents.

You basically answered your own question.

RE: How to deal with tantrums. . .
This is the bane of my interaction with LTRs and woman.

The childish tanty. Its a shit test no doubt, but they just can't help acting like little children.

You played this one right, I see so many men fall into the terrible frame of apologizing, grovelling and 'making up' to the woman whenever she decides to throw a hissy fit. The trigger (like yours) can be made up and ridiculous, but they carry on with it and usually fuck up your night/weekend/holiday etc with it.

Most are never going to stop doing it, nor apologise. Rational discussion is also a waste of time.

My current go to tactic is to do the 180 on her, ie get more shitty and angry about something related like now you should be really angry with her that she embarrassed you in front of your dear friends, over such a trivial matter.

A week ghosted, and then make her apologise and make it up to you is in order, minimum.

Sadly, the long term outlook is going to be always like this. And if you next her, the next women is going to act the same,. so that doesn't help either...

Thanks fellas. I appreciate the input!

I'll have to give turning a 180 a try next time something like this happens.

How to deal with tantrums:

Be firm and unswayed, just like you would be when a child acts out. This will have two effects -

1. She will conform to YOUR frame
2. She will leave you, thus saving you the headache of having to deal with her any more, onto better women

Don't store a woman's stuff, if she wants it, she carries it.
Then you can ditch her whenever you feel like.
Walk away from tantrums, don't look back.

OP, develop the mindset of being ready to leave any relationship, at any moment.
Projecting this mentality, prevents women from throwing tantrums.
What if she does anyway?
Then next her, simple : 3.5 Billion other girls in the world.

"I was looking for you and about to put up posters. Highly strung 30yo woman goes missing on the shitter." (bonus points if she is younger)

I personally would have kept her phone on me and said that she never gave it to me. Let her unstable energy focus on that and then when you magically find it, joke around with her.

With women like this, just joke around and entertain yourself, it's childish behaviour. The least you can do is employ some schadenfreude and enjoy it.

It's also useful to channel that freak out energy into something else so she gets perspective. If you create a worse situation, solving it puts you in a better spot and creates leverage. This is a shit test to her, if she snaps out of it and realizes she was being absurd then sure, you can take it from there.

If she continues to give you shit, tell her you're buying her a leash or a guide dog and just perch up with your mates at the bar.

When/if she calms down, tell her that she's full of shit and that it's not going to work out.

Next.

You played it right by not responding, play on playa.

This book is clearly self published, and I have no clue who this guy is, but I found a lot of what he talks about to be spot on. He goes into why women behave this way, how to manage them, and when to ultimately show them the door. Worth a read if you want some additional insight into why a lot of broads can't seem to be able to help but ruin a good thing.

My women get smart after learning that it never ends well in public.

They save their tantrums for inescapable moments. Where walking away, going home or ignoring her is not an option (holiday, weekend away, function etc)

Really pisses me off.

@RatITW, it's true, they like to destabilize the interactions sometimes by throwing out a curve ball there.

If I see them escalating, I will escalate even further and start gesturing and being all manic. They usually go submissive because you kinda 'hijack' their frame.

Thanks for the responses gentlemen.

@Noir, I will remember that with the next one haha emphasis on the 30yo part as well.

@Beyond Borders, I'll give it read thank you.

She did apologize a couple days after the fact but I lost all interest in her that night. So, here I am on to the next one!

Really pisses me off.

This, 100%. It's annoying as hell.

A girl I was seeing was doing this too. One time we went on a roadtrip and because it was a very long drive to our next destination, we took turns driving. It was her turn to drive again so I stopped at a gas station to switch seats. As soon as we hit the highway again with her behind the wheel, she decides to throw a tantrum. Completely out of the blue too, we were having a great time before this moment. No need at all to ruin this roadtrip, but she ofcourse couldn't help herself.

I don't even remember what it was about, but she referred to some remark I supposedly made a week prior.

Not only was she behind the wheel, we were also in the middle of nowhere in her home country which I didn't speak the language of and I had no clue where exactly I was (just following GPS to get to our next destination).

So as her tantrum is unfolding, I remain calm but inside I am boiling. She pulled this shit all the fucking time and I told her before that it had to stop. It did stop for a while, but here she was, doing it again in a situation I couldn't escape from.

Well, I called her bluff anyway. I told her to stop the car and let me out.

She looks at me baffled. She knew perfectly well that I had no clue where I was and that there was no public transportation to speak of out there in the sticks.

She decides to call my bluff in return and actually stops the car at the side of the road.

I'm surprised she did that, but I proceed to gather my stuff. Before I have the chance to open the door she suddenly blurts out "I'm sorry."

She hated it. Hated the fact that she had to apologize and hated me in that moment for "being so fucking stubborn" (her words). She couldn't believe I was actually about to get out of the car.

A couple days later: "I don't understand why, but that was really hot."

Well, that's women for you.

And the real beauty of this? All of my actions in this story felt counterintuitive at the time, but I had been lurking this very forum for a long time already and was consciously testing out some frame lessons I'd read.

Thanks guys.

Walk away from tantrums, don't look back.

I was victim to this when I was younger, and every time I go out I see guys acting as their woman's personal assistant, carrying or holding their coat, bag, phone, etc.

Really pisses me off.

It amazes me how deliberate and planned these scenes are.

Last Christmas, the LTR attempted to stage one while we were crossing the street in Manhattan.

Incredibly, this actually worked: I pulled out my phone, declared that we're not going to do this right now, and told her to smile for a selfie.

This actually shut it down and made her happy again. Like a glitch in the Matrix. Unreal.

Hidey-ho, RVFerinos!
