I spent over 4 months living in Serbia, with a short vacation spent in FYROM. Serbia was everything I dreamed it would be, and so I'm thankful I saw the place before it joined the EU and everything goes to shit for a westerner, speaking relatively. Girls were slightly cold, but mysterious, food was delicious, quality of women was amazing, everyone was perplexed as to why an american had selected their country for living, and then were even more confused when I started chatting about Serbian history. I digress, I have seen Eastern Europe, and I love it, and I will be back, with future trips to be taken throughout the Balkans and even further east, russia ukraine, etc. The beauty of being young, is that you can travel anywhere and have a relatively good time without caring about creature comforts, etc, as long as there's beer and women, right? I'm not getting any younger, so one place that has always beckoned to me has been the Scandinavian countries (and I don't know if I'm using the proper definitions here), but the countries that appeal to me are in this order: Sweden, Norway, and Finland. I had some close friends that spent their summers there as Germans because they loved all the sun they got in Sweden, the berry foraging, the beaches, and the open nature of the people. (Also, maybe they were into the nudism, I don't know because they never mentioned it). They had a little cottage that they stayed in, which is like apparently pretty common.

I've always wanted to observe the Scandinavian welfare system up close, and see the so-called jante law in effect. But more important reasons for me to visit would be the blonde women, and all that feminism stuff, which apparently makes the women super approachable, and also allows them to approach you! My feeling is that Scandinavia is on the opposite end of what eastern europe is, but maybe in a good way: high levels of trust, numerous blonde women, openness to hooking up, etc. I'm really into metal, so I've heard it's big up there, and I've also heard they all have really good aesthetic sensibilities, so I'd love to see some of their designs in action. I had a past encounter with a swedish girl when travelling--so i don't know if this experience is an aberration so to speak, but-- i was impressed by how open, friendly and worldly the girl was. Are Scandinavian girls like that, or maybe only when travelling? I also read a few books by karl ove knausgaard, and having read them, I have to tell you that the whole region now fascinates me for some reason... Maybe because they're all basically monoethnic states, with weird behavior....? Don't know how to say it, but from my readings appear that people in the region repress a lot of their feelings for some reason... And then go on big drinking benders, and never act like it happened...

Immediate downsides I can see on visiting will be cost (heard norway is a rip-off), restricted access to alcohol, and maybe a wariness to foreigners (no novelty value?). I've also heard that a lot of clubs have rather high age limits for some reason. Would somewhere like Stockholm or Gothenburg be a good place to visit? I do have an interest in Norway because they're non-EU, which is bit interesting. Finland sounds interesting but I heard they're really shy/quiet... I'm assuming summer is the time to visit. If I brought a bunch of duty free alcohol in, cooked my own food at an airbnb, and lined up some intresting cultural, leisure activity (like sitting at the beach or park) I think it could be quite a nice trip...

Scandinavian women are also fatter. Something to keep in mind. Swipe on tinder and you'll notice the dramatic increase in weight. Swedish women also tend to be big boned and thicker even when slimmer. I'm still curious about Scandinavia though having travelled EE extensively.

The welfare system could be observed by just doing a few google searches on how long some cancer patients have to wait just to get treatment (and therefore die) or on all the 3rd world immigrants that come in and spread their lovely cultures that are fully supported in a country like Sweden, but I'd love you to go there and experience it. It's definitely not what you seem to think it is.

Also, since americans are known there for having big delusional undeserved egos, I think you can actually get away with it, without ever experiencing true jante law.

It's definitely not what you seem to think it is. Ever had the desire to investigate the facts on the ground yourself? I read plenty of accounts of whats going on there, but I'd love to get to know some nordics better, and then maybe hear what they think. Granted, I did a recent fact finding expedition to germany, and I can tell you that it's crap there with the current developments. I have not been back to paris since the refugee crisis, but I saw the slums of Paris, and so knew that there little experiment had failed... Conversely i heard about how dangerous, corrupt, unsafe serbia was, but the people there were legitimately nice to me, and had no ulterior motives. I know us Yanks reject the social welfare model, but maybe there are some postive aspects to their high trust society. A brief anecdote, I was up visiting rural Iowa one time, and went to go buy some ears of corn at a kiosk out in the middle of nowhere. No one was tending it, you just drop the money in the box, no security cameras, nothing. Apparently no one really steals. That's an example of a high trust environment, and that's because of the scandanavian values of trust, fairness, etc in the Midwest...

They built their utopian society and then they opened up the floodgates, and then let the dudes go and fight isis, then they come back, and say, "we have to help them re-integrate." And to be clear, there are some things they're doing right. People have high wages, and violence is low, in spite in the recent increase in violence when you compare to America or other european countries. They're also a high trust society that looks out for their members, can you fault them for that? True religion there is destroyed, out of wedlock births are really high, it's impossible to get an apartment there, impossible to buy alcohol... But then again, that's how a benevolent social welfare state works.

Scandinavia as a whole has a population of about 22 million according to Google. You'll find exponentially more natural blondes in Russia, a lot more in Poland and probably even Germany considering its population. If you think Sweden is full of tall, fit, well dressed blondes with nice personalities to boot then you're in for a surprise.

Well it would be the part that empowers women into ONS and high amount of sex partners. I believe that Scandinavia has among the highest partner counts. I want to go on a vacation there to check it out, to be clear I'm interested in their culture. I've been to Germany, I've been to Poland, I'm not ready to go to Russia, that's a lot of work to get there, compared to Ukraine or Serbia. Recent studies indicate that the social welfare model actually leads to more divergent career choices among women and men, rather than more equal distribution of men and women in the same career.

I get the ingrained hostility to everywhere other than EE or SEA, I get it.. But what if I told you I wanted to go on a short vacation to Scandanavia, and see some blonde empowered feminist sloots topless on the beach and eat seafood with them?

I was in germany only about 3 months ago, and I cannot imagine how Sweden could be any worse than Germany... Nordic places might be real nice, but I wouldn't know because i haven't seen all of it like I've seen germany. Given I think radical feminism is the worst there, but hey, i could be wrong. Germany is unsafe, I can tell you this because I know what's going on there. I would just like to visit a nice developed country that is safe. Gosh, I lived in freakin serbia, I'm just asking about the advisability of a short trip to the nordic regions, because I have an interest in the culture. Also, would like to see the women. Literally every girl in germany has nose rings, tatts, or dresses like a marxist.

Speaking just in terms of quality of the women of Stockholm I was very disappointed by what I saw during day time, many old or already washed up women, and none of those hot, young professional ladies 24-30 age range that are seen walking around in high heels during the day in Kiev city center. In the malls though I saw a lot of cute young girls, both native Swedish, and amazingly also many Persians, or mixed Swedish-Persian.

At night, well, I don't know what happens, is like all the hotties leave their homes, in Stureplan there is plenty of good-looking and feminine women, and even some stunners.

Not that I liked it very much, but I would rather Stockholm to a German city everyday. There is drop in quality going to Germany, and political correctness is also the same level or even worst nowadays.

Thank you for some honest info! Much appreciated. Yeah Germany seems so bad seems like anywhere would be better other than the UK... To be honest I haven't heard anyone say anything bad about Stockholm.

I've spent plenty of time in Scandinavia (Finland, Denmark, Sweden), and many countries in EE.

The pros of Scandi = They have the highest standard of living in the world. The nature is incredible in Scandinavia... they really take appreciation for nature and biodiversity... the culture is very pacifist and calm and intellectual and innovative... Also, they have an incredible eye for design and minimalism, I quite like that. As a tourist, the cities are fascinating to walk around, very green and full of parks even right in the middle of the city. Genetically, Scandinavian women may be the most blessed in the world. They have these incredible and rare physical traits such as piercing blue eyes, high cheek bones, oversized lips, and the complexion of their skin tans like a pancake in the summertime. I find them very attractive, especially early 20s before they get fat, brainwashed and post-carousel.

The cons of Scandi = The prevailing culture in Scandinavia is radical-militant-feminist and socialist-communist... Almost everyone is fluent in English, they follow everything the US does in terms of pop-culture. So many basic bitches seem to think they're a lifestyle blogger. You mentioned the "jantelagen", because of this they are subject to groupthink and peer pressure more than other countries. I can only spend a week there visiting friends before I need to get the hell out, I can't tolerate the level of indoctrination of the people.

In conclusion, if we are comparing EE vs Scandi for a red pilled RVF member, the primary clear advantage of Scandi is the local salary and earning potential. If you wanted to live and work at a location-dependent job, then obviously the high socio-economic standard countries of Scandi are better.

Ultimately it's the same truism which is repeated constantly throughout multiple threads in this forum = "The west is better for making money, the east is better for enjoying your life as a man."

Well... it depends what you are comparing it to. If comparing to EE women, I found Scandi women to be over-rated because they have SJW attitudes, lacking femininity, naive, fatter per capita etc. But certainly, you'll enjoy a short-trip there.

Going to Scandinavia to see topless girls on the beach would be a fools mission. The culture in most of Scandinavia has changed quite a bit from the 70s and 80s, girls under 30 in Scandinavia (and most of Europe) have adopted American prudishness in public to a large degree, and then there is the new muslim influence. Thats without mentioning the unpredictable and often cold weather even in mid summer.

Infinitely higher chance to find topless blonde Scandis on the beach in Spain or Thailand. The seafood will also be better and cheaper and the girls will be in carefree vacation mode.

Denmark is the least prudish of the Nordic countries, I think topless (and nude) sunbathing is still pretty common there, they also have a lot of good beaches. Also not much restrictions on alcohol, unlike Norway and Sweden. But most people on the forum agree that Danish girls score lower both on attitude and looks, compared to Sweden and Norway.

I Norway it was common in the 80s and (early) 90s, now I rarely see it. Can imagine it's the same in Sweden. But once they go to the Mediterranean islands in the summer, the tops go off. Crete, Mallorca and Rhodes are some popular destinations.

Well the summer weather can be erratic and unpredictable. Often there just aren't that many days you can spend at a beach. Also going topless isn't that typical in Scandi imo, much less so than at the Mediterranean beaches.

Also, I would love to visit Helsinki someday. I heard good stories about Finland. Despite the country being expensive it seems there is a nice culture of drinking (I'll feel at home) and the women are approachable.
