Leaving “Western” Society
I’ve been reading the blog and forums here for years. This is one of the best sources of information I’ve found for realistic feedback on foreign travel/living.
Long story short, I’m completely exhausted with Western society, feminism and shallow entitled SJWs. I fiinally have the means to leave at 35. In good shape, full head of hair, tall and my Spanish is getting better daily since 2014.
I’ve been all over South America, North America and parts of Europe. I’m ready to go worldwide, quit the job and live as a nomad. It seems scary, but at the same time I’m very fortunate to be able to leave a soul crushing corporate job and the hamster wheel society that is increasingly against men. I no longer want to pay tax for such initiatives and am talking with my feet.
What are the top recommendations you have for a nearly free and red-pilled soon to be ex-pat? My passive income will be between 18-25k, so not balling, but there’s options should I choose to occasionally work, buy properties or dip into savings.

RE: Leaving “Western” Society
I can't tell you where to go; I can only tell you where I would go.
I've been to 57 countries and I've been with pretty much all ethnicities, slept with more women than I can count or begin to imagine, but nothing beats sitting in the sand, behind a beautiful Colombian woman, while she stands there naked on a beach in Portugal, facing the waves, smiling, with her hair blowing in the wind.
Nothing beats driving the winding back-roads though old villages in Romania with your right hand on the stick-shift and her left hand on top of yours.
Nothing beats being chained to a bathtub with a beautiful girl in Budapest, in the middle of a SAW puzzle game, trying to figure out how to break out in 60 minutes, but then realizing she doesn't even speak the same language as you, you're laughing, she's crying, and you're just pointing in the bathtub and saying "give me that key" but she can't understand, which makes her cry more.
But all those are a few of my memories, which taught me what matters and what doesn't, for my own happiness in life.
You'll create your own memories and when you do, I hope they'll be poetic, emotional, and colorful, and less statistics, blandness, and repetition, like we so often read on the forums.

RE: Leaving “Western” Society
People who are "fed up with the West", do they even realize there's a constant influx of people streaming to the West everyday and no sign of stopping?
Now of course if you are balling then it's way better to live in a tropical island in the Philippines, SEA, or ice skating in Russia, but that's another story.
Anyway, the question you have to ask yourself is this: what am I willing to sacrifice?
A LOT of what you take for granted here in the West are unheard of in other countries, the most mundane thing being drinkable tap water. Do that in Vietnam and you are likely to get permanent residence in the toilet.
Are you willing to deal with constant corruption and incompetence on an hourly basis? Horrible traffic? Polution?
Realize there's no perfect country, there's just the perfect country FOR YOU. If you're a hustler and a golden tongue, go for Russia and SEA. If you like good wine, fine dining and appreciate the arts go to Europe. If you like dancing, Latinas and heat go South America / Latin. Etc.

This is an intelligent response. I have been thinking of relocating to Mexico City and there are many reasons why I should- way less blue pill (though honestly it's getting there), its cheap and I could live like a king, its a large, modern city with more to do and see than I could ever take in, etc. But you know what? Traffic is about the worst I've seen anywhere (and I commute over two hours each day in American big city traffic), some days pollution is so bad that the city grants free bus fare to discourage driving, police and public officials are incompetent and corrupt (and not uncommonly homicidal) and everything I eat or drink has to be carefully considered and scrutinized. After a few years of that I'm afraid I'll start disliking it as much as I do here.
Maybe we some of these thoughts are just a variation on "the grass is always greener."

Really unclear how your post helps the original question at hand. All it does is brag about you. Which you do on this forum consistently. You did not follow up on your first statement ... I’ll tell you where I’d go. Perhaps you got lost dreaming about your girls hair “ blowing in the wind” while you wrote......Remember amigo, people who have $ , are good looking and bang consistently don’t brag about those things as they do/ know they have it.... now then , in my opinion I think Cambodia for the question at hand is a solid choice ,PP I believe would be the best choice as SR is more expensive full of tourist and Sihanoukville is now Shitsville due to construction. I talked to some expats in PP which make it happen on about 25k a year, with An apartment with pool and gym Cambodia is not known for out of the park women. But there are some hammers there. Reference epic night club in PP out of the City center, I think if you live there you could get a solid looking girl -non westernized. If I was looking to goto a place I would choose Phnom Penh with that budget. However, if you have close ties with home, where ever you live ...Cambodia is a long way from home and living there and keeping in touch with family would be difficult
I feel like the general idea of Linux's post was that.... its not always about the destination its about making the best out of every location and every opportunity. He just articulated it in a fashion that made it more personal and poetic. Which everyone else seemed to appreciate....

RE: Leaving “Western” Society
A lot of great comments here. I’ll start by saying that I’m aware third world countries can be a real annoyance and I don’t romanticize being a “world nomad” (e.g. Bogota’s pollution, Patagonia’s lack of infrastructure). I’d prefer to have longer stays in countries that I enjoy, take up hobbies I’ve long since lost and learn languages. It energizes me even thinking about it.
In some ways I feel ungrateful for walking away from what social conditioning tells me is a great job in a safe country (Canada). But something my uncle said long ago has never left me “just be true to yourself”. My friends and family see it when I come back from months living on $30-50 a day, skinny and tired, but smiling. After a few months back at the self-policing, snakes and ladders corporate grind, they are asking “what sucked the life out of you”? And I feel dead inside again dealing with the fakeness, cold women and self-importance.
Personally, I’m a minimalist, I don’t have many material needs. I’m all about real people, self-improvement and experiences, hence how I now have a decent amount of passive income.
I guess what I’m really looking for are recommendations from others for the things you found most rewarding. Just like most straight males, I also love feminine, fun, sexy women. That’s part of the plan, but there’s so much more to life than rotting away unhappily in a cubicle.

RE: Leaving “Western” Society
OP i suggest doing a mini-grand tour, visiting a few countries for at least 2 weeks each, or a specific region, and then move to the place you like.
You could do eastern europe, example: czech republic, slovenia, croatia, montenegro, serbia, hungary, romania, or something similar to that. You can start out at the nicest place in the region, and then progress to the shittiest, where things will be cheap and there will be less tourists. They're all reasonably cheap places to live, and have good women.
Or you could do: Panama, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Brazil.

RE: Leaving “Western” Society
Agreed. Plans will likely change but I’m thinking:
Portugal
Spain
Frankfurt (kind of want to check out an FKK Club lol)
Croatia
Montenegro
Bosnia
Serbia
Greece or Hungary (undecided)
Fly to SE Asia
Thailand
Cambodia
Vietnam
Fly to Japan (2-3 weeks)
Japan to SA
Chile (in their summer)
Argentina (in their summer)
Colombia (stay awhile)
Central America
Costa Rica
Nicaragua
Fly to Mexico City
Mexican coastal cities
If any of these really appeals to me I’ll stay longer. If not, I’ll leave earlier or skip them. There’s no time limit . I’m going to try to get a severance package from work, but I highly doubt they will want to agree to that. Sucks missing out on 10-15k but better than wasting my life away in a cubicle.

RE: Leaving “Western” Society
1 Read the book Vagabonding by Rolf Potts. It is a short book that can be read in a few hours. Traveling expats should probably read that book or something similar once per year. One of the weaknesses of this forum is that most of us don't get off of the beaten path enough because this community gives us a comfort zone in terms of guys to hang out with in popular cities.
2 Regarding your most recent post - stop trying to visit so many countries for a short period and visit a few for a longer period. 95% of people will learn this on their own but the sooner you learn it the better.
3 Don't procrastinate with learning a language (or two). Make a habit of studying a couple hours per day until you are conversationally fluent.
4 Reading this forum encourages people to believe that it is much easier to be successful with women abroad than it really is. This is because many people write about their successes but few write about their failures. However, if you live abroad then you have time to figure it out. Be patient and always try to improve unless you are content with mediocre girls.
5 Eventually it will become fairly easy to find women abroad. It's usually much harder to find good male friends.
6 Contribute to this forum and the community. Don't do things like say you have been reading the forum for years and then start a thread asking a redundant question with your first post. I know this might not be a popular comment even with some veteran forum members but OP said he likes realistic feedback and that is exactly what this comment is. I've traveled enough and met enough guys to see the patterns. Most guys are either socially awkward weirdos or takers instead of givers. Those guys fade away from the forum but the guys who contribute make solid friendships and remain in the community. I know this sounds harsh but I also know it will be much easier to meet up with a lot of guys if you have a few rep points from providing information from your previous travels, knowledge of how to generate passive income, or any other topic.
Good luck

@birthday_cat
No offence taken, I’ve always been a giver and not an autist, just enjoyed the ROK blogs and Roosh articles. Now I feel I can give back.
Agree with all your points. I did 6 countries in SA in four months and it was too much. I’d like to see all the countries listed above, but that’s more of a lifelong journey. As for women, I don’t pump myself up, I’m realistic and know most success stories usually need to be taken with a grain of salt. Quality women are never a piece of cake for most guys, at this point I’ll take one that isn’t a weirdo, cares about their health and is feminine. It’s been a rough road.
I’ve been learning Spanish for at least 30min a day for 3yrs. I’ve since stepped that up, so I am dedicated. Next up is Portuguese.
As far as passive income, the biggest parts by far are filtering out bad information, gaining knowledge, saving as much as you can while earning and real estate/rental properties. To put this in perspective, I had 8k total to invest at 24, now I have enough to live on without dipping into savings at 35. Keep in mind, I live in one of the biggest real estate boomtowns around (Vancouver), so buying a place at 27 and a second at 33 helped a lot. I also didn’t get married when I had the chance. I just don’t have faith in most western women or our biased legal system anymore.
I can start a thread and provide more information if needed. It really comes down to knowledge, discipline, time and a long-term goal. We all need to be grateful for having the opportunity to do this.
