I am in my early 30's and discovered game around 4 years ago.

Discovering it is something different than applying it though; this process takes years. It did for me and it still does. The fact that it took me 4 years to finally register on this forum and stop lurking says enough. I'm finally starting to get it and I'm finally applying instead of reading.

You have been reading since age 15 (just like I did) so I guess it's already too late.

But no, you should not learn game when you are 18.

There are several reasons. One is that your personality stabilises at around 20-22. You should learn how to socialize before that time, hell, you should have learned that when you were four.

But game are tactics specifically designed to put a woman in a place where she is more likely to do what you want. Learning how to talk someone or to approach someone, aka socializing, won't do your development any harm. Learning the more effective strategies will.

But you are 18, horny as hell and probably don't give a fuck. Let me give you another reason.

From 16 to 25, you have crazy amounts of energy. The first impulse is to blast all that energy inside a girl several times a day and spend the rest of the time doing nothing in particular.

Or if you want to become rich, it is best to start right now and put all that energy into making money.

I discovered PUA stuff almost 14 years ago (DYD.. for the old guys in here who know what that stands for), didn't try implementing it until I was about 19, didn't really start getting laid until I was 23 (let that sink in... it took me 9 years to really start getting laid), didn't start getting a bunch of notches until I was around 27, now I'm 30. Really the best way to get laid is to make a lot of friends, make money and travel. Make money and move to Asia, that's the easiest way to get laid a lot.

I wouldn't recommend getting too deep into pickup if you're young. The important things to know is that you usually have to approach, know when to pull the trigger and escalate (go for the kiss and take her home), and basic stuff like if a girl is acting stupid. Most of this will come from experience.. something you can only learn by meeting thousands of women. IMO it's better to focus on making money and getting in shape than to become a PUA. Don't start with PUA. In respect to some of the posters above me, laying a foundation for life success is more important than chasing tail.

Learn inner game first. Confidence, outcome independence, positive self talk and relentlessness. These are going to fuel you when you learn the mechanics of your game style of choice.

Start lifting weights, volunteer, get a good internship/apprenticeship. Travel and become more worldly. Build yourself a social circle you are proud of. If you're happy with where your life is at, getting women will be astronomically easier. There's no point in having tail if the rest of your life sucks.

You should be talking to girls in the background, but I argue that its far better to just roll with successes through social circle game while you focus on building a base for future success. Once you have the fundamentals of life success and inner game mastered, then you can move on to refining your game method of choice, and you will already stick out from your peers because you've focused on the fundamentals first.

I don't mean that one should neglect education, business and a career. Your teens and 20s are a great time to focus on that. But learning Game and doing a couple of approaches per week plus reading a few articles while being aware of the Red Pill dynamics does not cost that much time.

Most high-achieving students are fantastic if they focus 40 hours per week on studies and business in their early 20s - you will be the top of the heap since most students work far less than that.

In contrast countless weeks and months are spent by men trying to get laid via the friend-zone, via being friendly, via going out to clubs and wasting months trying to get laid under bad conditions. And if Blue Pill men end up in relationships, then even more time and energy is wasted.

Update :- After reading alot of replies, I feel as though I haven't provided enough details about myself.

I first discovered seduction community via reddit when i was 14. Before I was a very awkward person. At about 14 I moved school too. I met up with some friends like a month ago, and they saw lots of changes in me - one being that I stutter less and I actually manage to hold eye contact.
Reading alot of the stuff on seduction reddit did improve my self confidence, stuff like stoicism and the fact that no one gives a shit about what you do.
I admit that i had an embarrassing anger/incel phase after reading trp when i discovered trp 6 months later. But I did get out of it. I am admittedly a complete beginner, but I also have a decent amount of background knowledge.

In regards to my education, i am planning to study medicine, but go on a gap year after my A levels so my application is a bit stronger as i will then have my grades. Planning to go Philippines during that gap year - Read alot about Philippines here.

Also thank you guys so much, this community is really nice and alot less toxic than incel communities. I have started lifting too, I still read trp and I am noticing how fucked the media is. It's really biased, being a leftie is socially acceptable whereas being right isn't so much.
