Having been in the field & discussing game with experienced wings for some time now since my last post on this discussion, I've seen some key tips that seem to apply to the fundamentals of Game.

Here is a complete breakdown of the current structure of Game as I see it:
Game = Passive + Active

Passive Game
Passive game is anything that once dealt with, continuously works in the background. The components of Passive game are in priority order:

Health
Finance
Logistics
Appearance
Language

Active Game
Active game is anything that you must continuously do to move towards results. The components of Active game are in chronological order:

Approach
Hook (typically Conversational, then Sexual but club game is a place where going straight to Sexual is possible)
Comfort (amount needed is highly variable, e.g. club game requires little to no Comfort)
Pull

EVERY interaction in game falls into this structure.

A single bottleneck at any stage can block your progress.

Here are the insights in Active game I've gained recently:

Approach
Being an approach machine is a good aim. Calibrated approaches are best, but it's better to approach terribly than not approach at all.

Hook
Persistence is key here. Go as far as you can with each set. Lessons learned by doing this will help significantly for future game.

Comfort
Amount needed is highly variable depending on the situation.

Pull
The final boss of game. Needless to say, developing this skill is critical for bridging that final gap to getting results.

What I've observed is that intermediate->advanced guys work on refining each stage of the game. Beginners get stuck in Approach or Hook.

And different players have different strengths. Gaming with wings reveals unforeseen insights that can boost your game tremendously.

Quality of wings vary, but you can always learn something from every wing.

Once again, the takeaway is that game can be learned systematically with a few key benefits:

1. Debugging your game sticking points becomes very clear. Are you skipping stages in the game in your development? While the Approach is the most important part of Active game to kickstart any interaction, are you ignoring Passive game such that you are not Hooking as well the types of girls you want?

2. You always know what to do next, at least on a general level. Every interaction in Game follows the structure. Thereby, the only variability is HOW you progress through the stages.

A general advice I've received is to "have fun". While very true, it is not specific enough for logical gamers to understand. I've gone out to game with no structure, but just to "have fun". And I've gone out to game with purely structure, but not really having fun.

Both have their limitations. But my argument is that it is always better to go out to game with a strong structural understanding in mind so you can have fun on top of that.

Without a strong structural understanding, you may give excuses to yourself that the night is "fun" and you don't have to approach this particular set. With strong structural understanding, you realize your time is limited and you need to put in work constantly to move towards results. You can have fun once you're in set.

Simple enough to understand with good value.

All the fundamental area already covered well in this post, I only like to add a few good inner game mentality to have. One is the abundance mentality which is to shake of any losses and not get emotional on any "rejections", talking to women is basically a free scratch card as long as you known that you've done your best at your part. Screening is also another important aspect as you go in, depending on your goals, you know the things to screen for "a woman using a wedding ring will very unlikely down to hook up -- because if they are they wouldn't be using it". You could've just wasted your best approach effort on a woman who is not looking/not available

I don't know about the whole have fun idea. It is supposed to feel like a job. It does feel great when you are making a connection with a girl.

Good point on the mentality. Reason I didn't bring it up is because my post focused on the physical progressions of game itself rather than the mental part.

I like focusing on the physical structure of game first because it eliminates mental masturbation & wild theories that don't hold in practice that some gamers may fall into. Physical results in game are the determining factor of progress.

But inner game definitely has its place in game. I have my own breakdown of inner game as well, but I probably won't delve into that for now. If a gamer is putting in work in the field according to the structure laid out above, he is working in the right direction. Many inner game adjustments should come naturally as a result of those efforts.

Screening is an interesting point you raise. I've gone through a period of heavy screening & like you raised, yes it can help you screen out low-probability sets & conserve energy.

But the irony is once I adopted an approach machine mentality & approached indiscriminately, I was able to hook girls in seemingly hard sets. In fact, as I progress in NG, I see the need to approach more indiscriminately. The reasons are interesting: you minimize time in between sets & gain momentum. Then when you meet the "on" girls, you are primed.

Keep in mind I came from a place of game where I was absolutely clueless & had massive AA. So I don't preach being an approach machine lightly. But having been in the field & winging with experienced wings for a while now, I can see the pros of this method.

I agree with you there as I've been out to game feeling like it was a job.

The good thing about thinking like this is it means you have a strong structural understanding. The con, as I've experienced, is it can be demotivating & cause you not to approach or to approach weakly.

Which is why I say go out with strong structural understanding, but have some fun/self-amusement while in set so you don't get bored / demotivated.
