French parliament creates crime of talking to women in the street
Today is a sad day for freedom, as French representatives approved the creation of a ‘outrage sexiste’ misdemeanor. It is defined as acting in a way that is linked to the gender of a person and creating an intimidating, offending, degrading, or humiliating environment. It is punished by a fine of up to 3750€ (but actually limited to 90€ if you pay immediately). Aggravating factors include when it happens in a transportation system (metro, bus..) , when the ‘victim’ is under 15 or gay or vulnerable, or when there are several perpetrators.

It is understood that ‘outrage sexiste’ includes commenting on a woman’s physical appearance or dress, wolf-whistling, following a woman in the street, and looking intensely at a woman (theoretically also at a man but we all know what it means). Talking to strangers in the street is not a misdemeanor per se, but considering the vagueness of the law (what do you mean by ‘intimidating’ ?), it becomes a bit of a legal risk.

What will be the effect on French society ? Light flirtation happens regularly in the street (says my nubile daughter) but actual day game is not so common in France anymore. However, women often report being harassed by ‘racaille’, i.e. people of low social status, usually working class or unemployed, usually from minorities. I don’t think that the law will change anything to that, apart from sending a few more poor Arabs to court. Probably most men will become more reluctant to talk to or interact with women in the street (as is already the case with children for fear of being suspected of paedophilia). It’s just one more step in the destruction of social capital, public liberties, French tradition of curtesy to women, and healthy relations between men and women. Sad!

What does it mean for us ? I would avoid Direct approaches, or be extremely careful, as they are clearly targeted by the law. I think Indirect is fine, but again, I’d be careful; if you become too insistent you fall under the definition of the crime. Recording the encounter on your phone might be prudent. Obviously the police is unlikely to fine you since it’s difficult to prove, but there’s always a risk, and you should be prepared to explain the situation to the cops. Also note that you cannot be arrested for a misdemeanor, but you can be subjected to an ID check for a duration of up to four hours. In general, I think approaching French women is a waste of time so it’s probably not worth the effort anymore, but tourists and foreigners are still fair game.

Lol. I've not been living in France for 1.5 years now so that new law is yet another reason for me to criticize the punchable french women. What a waste my country has become. Sad.

You're right, cold approaching french women was already a waste of time anyway. Just go for the Asian girls, they are the only ones worth making an effort for that. Black / arabs are rather easy too but i dont see the point when you have the superior East Asian girls with better attitude on top of that.

How will the racaille even be able to pay these fees? They are the only one mass approaching in streets.

I actually agree with this new law. I believe that women should be able to use public transport and walk down the street without being harassed by men with bad game.

What I don't agree with is the inevitable result where men will be fined based on nothing more than a woman's accusation or with the possibility of being prosecuted for something as vague as "looking at a person intensely," whatever the fuck that means.

Of course women should be able to use public transport without being harassed. My point is that this law will do nothing to prevent harassment (because it is so difficult to prove unless there is a cop behind every woman), while it arbitrarily condemns innocent behaviour.

So something that happens as part of the mating game with mammals everywhere has been abolished to prop up the declining security that women have in multiculturalised countries?

Like they ever obey laws, those -like the laws on prostitution- were made only to sanction the class of the population who would be able to pay the fee and this is not the non working class.

Tell them too much, they wouldn't understand; tell them what they know, they would yawn.
They have to move up by responding to challenges, not too easy not too hard, until they paused at what they always think is the end of the road for all time instead of a momentary break in an endless upward spiral

The fact that the law includes "looking intensely at a woman" as an offense reveals the real intent of the law. It's not to prohibit behavior that everyone agrees should not be permitted, but it is targeted at the average male. Just watch what happens.

I'm going to go to the Champs Elysee and find the first hot girl I see.

And then call the nearest policeman over and get her ass fined for looking at my biceps "intensely."

That'll be my opener.

This is part of a larger trend where women want the law to protect them against the consequences of free sex and lack of public morality.

All I got from it is that Montrose has a nubile teenage daughter. Time for a meetup.

The law will just hit the nice guy Blue Pillers harder and make it tougher for men to do cold-approaches.

Neither the new enrichers nor Alpha/good-looking/Game-aware men will be much affected by it.

In theory they could use it to take out certain diverse harassing groups, but that would be the first that a Western government has enacted laws that would actually protect their women and not be an idiotic farce of a law. It's like this mythical #metoo and rape-culture bullshit that happens supposedly in US colleges and cucked Euro-corporations, but the same women stand in line with a #refugeeswelcome shield helping a real rape culture grow.

So the law is likely the usual anti-male anti-heterosexuality anti-White anti-Western crap - anyone else will be not affected by it or won't care.

Paternity tests are illegal in France. It's literally a cucked society.

Countless men are still sending it in outside France - while even that is illegal and you cannot do anything legally with it.

RE: French parliament creates crime of talking to women in the street
In principle this law does spell another doom for freedom in France. But in practice this doesn't change much.

I'm curious as to how this law will be enforced.

The legal system in France is completely different to that of the US and while still extremely cucked, it's not like you can just throw anyone in jail without any proof but the women's words. And it's not like there's police everywhere, if you just HAVE to talk to a woman in the streets (frankly day game in Paris isn't the real deal anyway) then the moment it goes south just high tail it out of there. Most girls are cowards or have something to do during their day, they won't go out of their way to drag you to a policeman. If you hit on a raging feminist then tough luck.

Might have to use English to spit cold approaches and game tourist girls. The tourist girls will be less likely to report you and other girls will simply not bother reporting you if she thinks you are an English speaking tourist.

Anyway France has never been an ideal place to do PUA. See my posts in the travel threads. Head to Madrid next door or Lisbon.

The quality of this law is going to depend on how it is applied. Will they actually fine and prosecute packs of Arab guys or other immigrant groups that routinely target women with harassment? Or will they only apply the law to white guys with bad game?

I don't think this should be the end of street game in France. It just means you use more indirect approach and build rapport before moving forward. Also, it would mean some of the more aggressive stops and grabbing should not be used.

If this was the UK or Germany... I know for fact that the law would only be applied to caucasian men... and that Paki guys could rape a woman in the street during broad daylight and the cops would decline to do anything.

Isn’t this to protect them from Muslim men? There is a similar law in the Netherlands but I’ve never really seen Dutch men harass women in the streeets. Moroccan men on the other hand....
