Was chatting up a Muslim chick at the gym. I mentioned I have 1 more year of university left. She said "oh I thought you were older" how old did u think I was I ask? she replies "I thought you were around 27-28". Now shes also in university.

What do I make of this is it a good thing I look older or bad?

Personally, I wouldn't think too much of it. Could even be a good thing. If you look older than you are, you may well come across as more mature for your age, too. Some chicks like that. So how old is she?

It's a shit test, plain and simple. Some chicks will DQ a guy verbally out of the gate and see if he starts crying, or if he makes a joke / laughs in her face.

Also Cattle Rustler is right, when they try to guess your age they are really saying that's how old they hope you are.

I get that a lot too but I just laugh. Doesn't help that I've spent my whole life working in the blazing hot sun.

When chicks a ask for age I tell them to guess and then tell them they’re good guessers because they’re right or guessed my age within 1 year.

Like Don said, the age they guess is the age they want you to be.

I get the situation, being at the gym isn't super playful. But the "whats your age topic" I find brings opportunity to show qualities like being care free, having freedom from outcome and being fun n playful.

Saying stuff to a younger girl like: "God you're so young, I could be your dad(dy)" often leads to them trying to qualify you.

Or an older women like: "Or wow, you're a cradle robber"

Be careful with the daddy thing though, as it's only relatable with certain types of girls. While everything else is pretty universal, unless the chicks weird.

when you are young in your early 20's and a woman thinks you look older its usually a good sign because they think you "look" or seem mature. its only a bad sign if you are 38 and she says "damn I thought you were at least 50"
