KDKA’s Meghan Schiller reports that a suspect, a white male, has surrendered. The SWAT team had been talking with the suspect, and he was crawling and injured.

Police sources tell KDKA’s Andy Sheehan the gunman walked into the building and yelled, “All Jews Must die.” Sheehan confirmed that eight people were confirmed dead. Others had been shot but the extent of their injuries in unknown at this time.

Police have requested that residents stay inside their home as they exchanged gun fire with a suspected gunman.

When officers arrived, the gunman reportedly shot at them, forcing officers to use their vehicles as a shield. Three police officers were reportedly shot.

The shooting happened during weekly Shabbat services at the conservative Jewish Synagogue, the building was full was reportedly full of people for a Saturday service and police say they’ve received several calls from people barricaded inside the Synagogue.

Nearby Carnegie Mellon University was also reportedly on lockdown, students receiving texts telling them to stay inside.

Its probably some deep state person. But its still awful. Especially bad since its during the height of the morning service. Most people would be at service than. Although Friday night service would be bad too.

Often services have police presence due to previous bomb threats and other threats. Most synagogues will probably need more now which will probably bankrupt some. There is a shrinking congregations in most services, at least around here.

Wait a second, so now, what logic does it make to have the Left (which also hates Jews, just look at their support for Palestine) now pointing fingers at a possible member of the extreme right towards his own anti-semitism? I mean, on this point they seem to agree....

Gun control won't be the target of this. The target will be internet censorship to go after sites and "online communities" where supposed anti-Semitism festers.

Most Synagogue's typically have security guards as well, or maybe they is just common here where I am as the Jews have lots of money here where I am.

It is never good when people have thier lives taken from them.

People really need to stop going to churches with no armed security. If they won't supply it bring your own gun. That coward came to that place for a reason. He went there because he could find victims not a fair fight.

RIP to the victims of this tragedy. I think I agree with just about all the guys in here. Beyond the tragic nature of this event, something else reeks & stinks about it. The wrong people might get unfairly demonized & blamed for this. Draconian laws might get instituted as a result of this shooting.
