Did a quick search, but couldn't find anything. Any of you ever been to a casino in SouthEast Asia with table games (not just slots)? Where there any that you didn't consider shady?

Yes ive been to casino in Singapore and Macau, what do you mean by Shady? i found them fair and good.minimum bets in some Macau casinos are quite high.

By "shady" I mean that there is a higher chance of corruption. For example, in Las Vegas the casinos on the Strip are more trustworthy and less likely to cheat you than the smaller casinos that are on the outskirts of town.

Macau is famous for its casinos. I haven't been personally so no comment.

Singapore has a couple of decent ones in the Marina Bay Sands area, probably a few others but I don't know of them.

Vietnam has a few in the Bluff Ho area, only went very briefly but they seemed decent.

Cambodia has a bunch in Sihanoukville, didn't go to them but they're everywhere and probably the main attraction in the city, very popular with Chinese folks so imagine they're going to be low on corruption (no need to be corrupt with Chinese whales willing to give you their money).

Genting highlands has Resorts World Genting which is in Genting Malaysia. 99% of people visiting are Chinese. They also got bars, restaurants, clubs, hotels etc there.

The developed parts of Paranaque City and the surrounding area in Metro Manila is pretty much based on big casinos. Okada, Resorts World, Midas, Solaire and City Of Dreams are some of the notable ones. I'm not a gambler so can't comment on how corrupt they are but maybe search their names on some poker forums to get some more educated answers.

Gaming revenue from Macau is about twice that of Vegas. One of the big hotel companies sold its vegas properties to focus on Macau.

Unless you're Asian and susceptible to pachinko style endorphine rushes, I would recommend against Singapore, as their main casino is a horrid football field of tables with absolutely no charm. It is solely for the benefit of the pure gambling addicted.

I'd recommend Manila, which has a bunch, including poker clubs. Low rates means you can get in on cash games and have a good time, expect locals to gang up and begging for tips, but still really good fun.

I assume Macau is the poker capital of Asia though.

Very little mainstream casino's are going to cheat you considering they have no reason to.

Not mentioned, Nagaworld Casino in Cambodia is very nice. 35-50 dollars a night. Has a sportsbook area with tight margins and 2 poker tables which can be valuable with the hundreds of Chinese who arrive to launder CPC money. Table games are as expected. About a 1 dollar tuk-tuk to the main club area if you can call it that.

If you want real shady casino and an adventure try the Kings Roman based in an area of Laos.

As already mentioned Naga World in Phnom Phen they've also got a poker room called River Kings which is ok also in Cambo, Sihanookville has a few Casinos again full of Chinese. In Bangkok there is a poker room its invite only though and technically not legal, can find a poker game most places. There are casinos in Manilla and Angeles, never been though didn't rate Manilla as worth staying, it's a dump.

I felt like Macau was rigged. I play blackjack very often and it seemed like the dealer received a statistically suspicious number of blackjacks and 21s. I have a feeling that they are able to use their auto-shuffle machines to select the card they need and that they do use that to unfairly stack the game. This is one infuriating part of Asian (and more specifically Chinese) culture. They simply cannot accept a standard arrangement where they are already winning and feel a compulsive need to engage in dubious behavior. I.E. Selling fake baby formula.

The other thing I have noticed is that Asian Casinos are miserable. In Vegas, you are going to have fun, play around, and there is a party atmosphere. In Asian Casinos no one is smiling and no one even seems to enjoy being there. It feels like a hostile environment and I do not see how anyone could enjoy themselves there. That actually hardly seems the point.

There is a reason that Vegas is hugely popular with asians to the point where they fly thousands of miles to get away from their own. It's because their own casinos fucking blow. Avoid them at all costs. Open to anyone who can tell me about a great asian Casino, but from what I've seen, the culture just does not lend itself to making them.

I only spent a weekend in Macau. Lots of baccarat and various card and dice games peculiar to Asia. Not much blackjack or poker.

I only found a few craps tables out of the dozen or so casinos I wandered through and there were relatively high table minimums USD25-30 at current exchange rates, a far cry from the $2 tables in Vegas. I can't recall if they gave double or triple odds and whether the other bets were in line.

I went to Macau back in April thinking it would be a vegas type atmosphere.......how wrong I was.

Sterile and no fun at all.
