Been seeing this girl from Kiev. I just got tested and came back positive for chlamydia. I reported this back to my lady friend which is furious. Claims she got checked before we met and was clear. I am almost positive I was clean until I met her as I did have some symptoms after first meeting her. So I am sitting here wondering about the reliability of these tests performed in Ukraine. My test was done in my home country in a reliable lab. Anyone have any insight into how these things work down there?

Chlamydia tests are accurate only 7 days after contracting it, so if you caught it from her it's possible she tested too soon after she banged. It's also very possible you had it already before you met her because it doesn't always exhibit symptoms. No big deal. The treatment is either a single dose of antibiotics or a course of antibiotics over a few days and you'll be fixed. Unless it's that strain of drug resistant chlamydia in which case you're fucked.

I've heard rumors of faked pharmaceuticals in Ukraine, especially when cost from manufacturer is high so potential for big profit. Thus I would not trust genuine Viagra from Pfizer in Ukraine ($20 per 50mg pill), but I do trust the generic sildenafil ($1 per 50mg pill). At the lower price, pharmacy has little incentive to substitute sugar pills and thereby damage their reputation.

Not sure what the cost of chlamydia testing materials is. If materials expensive, clinic has incentive to use fake year. If materials cheap, damage to their reputation not worth it.

Even if she did give it to you, "you gave it to me!" is the standard bullshit from a woman scorned. Otherwise, you might start to doubt that she deserves to be coddled like a Victorian era virgin.

I´ve had an interesting day to say the least. Of course all the blame has been laid at my feet. A lot of yelling and screaming. Apparently my sex life is out of control etc, its the end of the world blah blah. I told her on the phone I did not have blind faith in her health care system which further fuelled the fire. Things have calmed down a bit now after I put my foot down and told her I would not be spoken to like this, I would be willing to have a reasonable discussion about this but the yelling and screaming was not solving anything. We´ll see where it goes. Fuck!

Drug resistant Chlamydia sounds like fun, yikes. I´m gonna have to google that. I´m in my home country now and have begun treatment. The good dr. didn´t mention anything about that. I don´t know how it works, if they see the different strains when they do the tests? I guess I´m about to find out soon enough.

A lot of unneeded drama. Just get treated/cured. Unless you are sure that it wasn't you write it off. She's always going to be "sure" it wasn't her. Even if she did a 5 man gangbang 6 days from meeting you she's gonna be "sure" because "no way those nice gentleman had anything they all promised".

its best to leave it ambiguous, unless you have proof.

Sounds like she's been around the block, I would put her under surveillance. I almost always rawdog in Ukraine, unless she is clearly a slut

Just curious - I've always thought w/Chlaymadia you know right away - leakage, painful urination, etc. Did you not have any of those symptoms?

I had some symptoms a few weeks after I first met her but it was misdiagnosed by a Dr. as a simple bladder infection. Later I went to a proper clinic to have a proper test.
