Im doing a favor for someone and their going to let me use a visa gift card as payment,but its not like im keeping the whole card for myself. Its more than my gas tank holds.

Any ideas for how to get this money off the card to keep for myself store it in some value that I can keep? Its not a prepaid card that you can 'register' its just a normal giftcard.

-I was thinking bitcoin,but im not sure if you can buy bitcoin with these and any service that allows you to would be expensive.
-buy a Money order/western union?
-Transfer into paypal?

They're pretty annoying to store value with. You could just set up Square and take it all as payment. Square is fairly easy to set up and fees are lowish. You would just need dude to snapa pic of the front and back and it could be done in a matter of minutes (plus however long square takes to confirm bank info, and then like 3 days to actually deposit).

Everybody needs to stop fucking with paypal they're a terrinle company with ridiculous fees

Not sure you can buy a MO with one, try it. That may be your quickest option. Quick call to your local cash advance shop or equivalent would give you an answer

Liquidate it at a supermarket that sells money orders. Or buy an Amazon gift card for the balance, that way you don't pay any fees.

I would try to avoid using gift cards with Square or Paypal. Use a gift card one too many times and these types of companies will try to ban you from the platform (they frown upon gift cards).
