Part of the Roosh program entails approaching 1 girl a day. Today i asked a coffee shop barista out (first time I had been to this coffee shop and had never seen her before). Does this kind of thing count as an approach?

Approaching is better then not approaching.

Going outside trying to approach and fail is better then sitting behind computer all day.

Saying a two letter word, for example "Hi", can be a huge accomplishment.

Chatting with salespeople doesn't count as an approach, but since you asked her out, I'd count it. The rules aren't super strict.

Gonna say "no." She can't reject you in the way that a normal woman can. A barista has to be cordial so it's sort of a fake approach.

Look, if you're that nervous about it all, then fine. Start where you need to start, but I wouldn't make it a habit to count hired guns who can't reject you as approaches.

Unrelated to the thread, but I bet "barista game" could work really well. Has anyone tried that out? I imagine it'd be a more intellectual/artsy version of barman game.
