Everyone has made the observation that girls from Southern Europe (Italy, Greece, Spain) aren't very receptive to game, and that you pretty much need to be in with their whole family to get anywhere. That said, does that make them good candidates for long term relationships, if you're looking for one?

I'd like to believe that, but I can also see them, especially the Italians, being fashion whores with princess syndromes. Does anyone have any experience or observations on this?

Wander, the answer depends on whom you're comparing Southern European girls to. Type "sociosexuality by country" on Google (I think the chart shows sociosexuality among females). The economics blog, "Marginal Revolution" had a post on it a few years back. Sociosexuality refers to how open one is to casual sex, extra-marital affairs, etc. The higher a country's sociosexuality, the looser the citizens-the lower, the more conservative.

If you look at the chart you'll see that countries such as Spain and Italy compare favorably to the US and Baltic countries, but Asian girls are still your best bet for LTR and wife material.

Can only speak for Greek and Italian women and my thoughts are a generalization as there are all types. Overall though, I think you'll want to stay away. With Mediterraneans, more often than not you're marrying the entire goddamn family. They will judge everything about. How much you work, how much you make, etc. If you don't make enough money (or what they consider enough) they (the family) will talk shit about you. If you make a lot, they (the family) will expect you to pay for everything. The impression is the women are submissive but I don't agree.
You're better off checking out some of the Eastern European countries mentioned here - Ukraine, Romania, etc.
I know quite a few Poles and I think the world of them because they are all good women - loyal, loving and appreciate of their men. Been friends with them for many years (over ten) and their behavior is consistently good.

I tell you all this from experience -- my family is Greek (and Italian).

Believe El Mechanico is a fellow Greek and can offer some insights from his experience.

You will get food from a Greek girl most the time. If she can't cook then her mom or grandmother will make you some. They are balls to the wall horny bitches as well.
I can't do it though. With one crazy local Greek family the addition of another would be overwhelming. There are very sweet down to earth greek girls so take it on an individual basis.

I think Italian women are very bossy. However, I have not dated an Italian - this is just based on observations during trips to Italy where I've observed many Italians with their wives and they seemed pussy-whipped.

Never understood why American women get such a bad rap on this forum . Tons of women who live in foreign countries have the same mindset of greed, vanity, and control. Inheriting a family is standard procedure in most Southern European countries and anything south of the border. They are also prone to putting on a lot of weight(especially if they move here), and are much more crafty with manipulation.

Trust me when I say this is a very decadent society. Women have the worst of both worlds, and many men lack any sense of responsibility.
It's not cause of bad luck that Greece is in the economic situation it is. It's a direct byproduct of the people here.

Trust me I am trying to leave this place as soon as possible. It feels bad feeling like you don't have a home, since you are surrounded by all that crap.
