Background:

Just turned 30. Lay count of 3 (not including paying).
I'm 5'8 and half Indian half Caucasian (light brown). about a 5/10 in looks currently. Could get to 6 or 6.5 eventually.

I haven't cold approached women in nearly a decade, and back then I did it drunk. Very daunted by the idea but I know I have to do it.

Want to daygame, but almost feel that because my social skills are not good now, approaching a woman above a 5 would be a waste of time.

5s obviously I will approach, but do you think 4 or 3s are too low?

3 being a girl about 40-50 lbs overweight.
Has any guy done that to start with?

I know it sounds stupid but I just want to slay 5-8 uglies, get some confidence and go from there.

Question 2 is- are those women a lot easier, or do they also think they deserve a 7/10 male?

If you can get it hard for them and you find their company passable then do it.

I'd say i'd fucked at least 20 women who are below par but still somewhat attractive. I'd do it again as well if I was horny and feeling too lazy to push myself in anyway.

Banging 3s will probably just fill you with self-disgust and shame, so that's not the best way to gain confidence. I would at least aim for 4-5s.

I don't think collecting very low-quality notches is an effective way of building confidence anyway; improving your lifestyle, value and appearance is a better use of your time.

(This is just my opinion, maybe others have actually benefited from banging visually grotesque women)

I agree. While 4s would somewhat arouse me, my body does not respond at all to 3s. I'll probably feel like shit after it.

4s and 5s seem reasonable. Guess there is no substitute for me building skill

I for one struggle with raising the flag for 5s, i.e. those I would consider average or okay looking. Below that? Unthinkable. I'd rather not have sex at all than sleep with those who are less than 5s, and only 5s when I am desperate.

If I were you I'd aim higher. You may not get them much, but at least they will be better. Quality over quantity.

Let's look at the situation of attractive women and ugly women...

Only DESPERATE men will try to get close to ugly women!

Men of all kinds will try to approach attractive women.

If you succeed with dozens of ugly women, it does not mean you're ready to 'win' attractive women...

It's best not to waste time with ugly women... go straight to attractive women and go by trial and error!

The only thing you get from fucking ugly women is PTSD. You should always go for roughly your looksmatch, with game and lifestyle being the main modifiers.

I'm going to go off on a tangent but a very important one.

So you think you're a 5 and most you think you can max out at is 6.5?? Come on bro. That's a defeatist attitude. There isn't a single man I know, handicaps or disfigurement aside, who can't make it to at least a 7. I have even seen men with handicaps land some cuties.

Which brings me to an important and extremely underrated concept. We don't discuss it as much as we should here: A man's attractiveness is not the same as a woman's. Not by a long shot in my humble opinion. For men, confidence, physical strength, charisma and status are WAY more important. Now, OP, I have no idea in hell what you look like or who you are. Yet, reading from your post, it appears that you are underselling yourself at some level at the very least.

I think if you work on the components I mentioned, you can be a 7 or even higher. Scale gets weird I think for men after 7 as it's more subjective than for women. This can take a lot of work. I have gone through the journey myself and you can read about it in my posts.

There is not any amount of 5s or below you can sleep with to increase your value as a man. Like some guys said, it may even decrease it and make you feel like that's all you deserve. That's not good.

OP, are you motivated enough to challenge yourself? Are you satisfied with just 5s? How much work are you willing to put in to be a 7 - 9 man and get 7+ women? Are you going to defeat yourself without trying? These are tough questions, trust me. I'd love to hear your response to these questions as it may really allow us to help you in a more meaningful way.
