Hopefully i'm not the only jackass this has happened to. Long story short I was getting jiggy with it at Levels in Bangkok. Was dancing with a couple local girls, when their weird male friend approached me and started talking a big game (going off how he takes them everywhere and bangs all 5 of them, blah blah blah). I entertained this for a few minutes while one of the girls was still grinding on me, then he asked which of them I liked. I picked the hotter one that was super shy doing her own thing in the corner, to which he replied "you want to go home with her I got you bro". He then walked up to her, said a couple words, she then walked up to the the girls I was dancing with and I guess told them to get lost and started grinding on me hard (more so than you normally get in a Thai club, which was the only odd sign about her). Anyway 30 minutes later the place was closing and she agreed to go back to my place, where we banged (i've never had a pro before, but from what I imagine she did not fuck like you would expect one to). Around 7am she wakes up and tells me she needs to go to work. I said ok see you later, to which she replied, that will be 5,000 baht. I was still asleep and didn't really process the number she told me, so I replied with I don't have any cash i'll just get you a grab / taxi from my phone. Suddenly she went from a very sweet and innocent persona to Hillary Clinton like.

At no point did she act even remotely like a pro, I mean normal intelligent conversation (in near perfect English), about dreams, family, and other nonesense I wasn't really paying attention just listening and nodding my head. No mention of money whatsoever. Suddenly the conversation went from that to things like "you don't pay I call my friend..." again in demon like voice while frantically pushing buttons on her phone. At some point the words I call police popped up. Anyway I negotiated down from 5,000 baht to 700 ($22) that I had left over in loose change/pennies for the hotel staff. Figure whatever further hassle this could have caused was not worth that.

Has anyone mistaken a regular chick for a hooker before and ended up in a similar position? How did you handle it?

When a pimp is letting you choose from his stable, she's probably a pro. There are a lot of clues in your story that you should have picked up on, but sometimes your subconscious wants to take the easy way out and your rational thought has been switched off by alcohol, it happens. Charge it to the game, be glad it's just 22 bucks - hopefully you wrapped up.

I read 3 clues from that story that told me you were dealing with a pro. You are lucky all it cost you was 22 bucks, things could have ended up much worse.

Well it's bangkok, everything is unusual. Again never happened to me before, no money was mentioned at all (that was kind of the main point), and the girl did not seem like a pro

the clues are obvious now that I wrote it out focusing on the details. trust me it wasn't like that at the time. it seemed like casual banter with the guy and I was already gaming her friends for 20 minutes prior, again neither of them were acting like pros either. While I never fucked a hooker before I have lived in bkk for 3 months, so I know how they talk and act for the most part.

This is NOT the least bit surprising. It has happened to me before. It's usually one of the other girls will ask you do you want to sleep with the girl you are with. Remember there is no shortage of dick in Thailand. You could ask them then if this is free or how much they are talking. I'm not even sure she considers herself a pro, she just getting money for her time. I had it happen to me on my first trip to Bangkok many years ago. I said, "your friend is very pretty, but not tonight."

You got off very cheaply and without harm. From $159 to $22. She doesn't seem like a very hardened pro. If she was she'd have gotten you for the whole 5000 baht ($159). You should always pay the money to get rid her ASAP. I've heard of guys who didn't pay and where the girl went to the police or maybe her friend who is a policeman and came back and demanded the money for sex and the guy of course gave the money versus being taken down to jail. You are in a foreign country, you will always lose, so get out the easiest and cheapest way possible.

Stay away from know known freelancer bars in Bangkok. Even Khao San Road has a lot of freelancers around. Clarify what they have in mind, before you go home with them. Hey, at least you didn't pull a ladyboy! You're very lucky.

Levels is known to be a mix of normal girls and pros. I was once drinking a cocktail in the rooftop bar area (there is also an indoor dance hall) and two Thai chicks got into one of the worst fights I've seen in my life. They were rolling around on the floor slamming each other's heads into the floor. Then some guests came up in the elevator and got out. The fighting chicks rolled into the empty elevator box and kept beating the shit out of each other. The security pressed the open button and they rolled out, still fighting. Eventually the staff asked everyone to move into the inside area. It took them 30 minutes to break the fight up and reopen the rooftop.

Levels is OK but there are so many better places to go. Maybe you read this the Bangkok thread you would know about them.

Honestly the story doesn't even add up. I don't deal with pros but I know the going rate for hot punani in and around Nana plaza is 2,000 - 3,000 baht. A girl asking for 5,000 baht is either scamming you or adjusting her rates because of something about you.

Likewise, a chick who insists on getting paid, especially the high rate you mentioned, isn't going to take 700 baht in quarters very well. Most of the pros at Levels are freelancers so there isn't going to be a pimp and they may or may not call the cops so many dudes simply tell them to fuck off. I'm not advocating that behavior, I'm just saying it happens.

In this case, you met the pimp. So you know who she can call and he knows your face plus there is the police factor. Like I said, I don't know a lot about this scene but refusing to pay because you didn't know or you have a high opinion of yourself (sex god or whatever) would probably cause her less loss of face than digging around in a coffee cup for scraps.

Dude OP, are you German or something? These are literally the only guys in BKK that I hear this regularly happening to. A woman telling you dreams and aspirations doesn't make her normal. I had it happen once to me. I was really young at the time.

I partied with a friend and we each picked up two girls. We brought them to basically the equivalent of a love motel and spent the night. In the morning she slapped me. She had my wallet and saw there was no money in there. In the end my buddy gave both the girls the cash. I think it was $20 or something each.

I didn't speak a lick of spanish at the time. If I had it wouldn't have happened.
