I'm not trying to compare Tehran to Manila or anything, but lets take some similar cultures as example:

Bangkok vs Seoul
New York vs Minnesota
London vs Dublin

The difference is absolutely drastic, you could fuck 10x more girls in the first ones with far less effort. I purposely picked cities where public image and social perception are important, where there is high pressure to get married, and where poverty / chance for a better life is not an overwhelming factor, etc. So what is it that caused this to begin with? Were any of the above (or other similar examples) completely the opposite at some point?

Anonymity is a big reason. In NYC you can do what you want and your reputation will never catch up to you.

Also, some of it is self-selection. If you are a super whore, and you live in Dublin, your reputation will catch up to you at some point at which time you pick up and move to London.

But those are just generalities.

I’ve lived in or spent at least a month in each of these places. I’d venture to guess at least a few factors that play into it - (1) religious history. Seoul, Minneapolis and Dublin have history with Christian periods. Christianity has classically been anti-premarital sex. It’s been that way in the upper Midwest USA for some time. (2) anonymity. It’s easy to fuck and flee in the big cities. Dublin is pretty tight knit. Seoul is very homogeneous and people gossip like fucking crazy. Social shaming is real. However, as it became a first world economy, Koreans have now begun adopting the culture of consumption which includes sex on demand. (3) Cultural acceptance of sexuality also plays a part. Bangkok has tons of transvestite and transsexual people and society is accepting. Not Dublin. Not Seoul. And definitely not Minnesota. Your first cities accept fringe behavior more IMHO.

The one interesting aspect I notice is that sexual enticement is becoming a commodity (I don’t mean P4P) in many cities that have 5+ million people. In Seoul you can go flirt with and feel up a woman who will drink with you and mistreat you. It’s like Japanese hostess bars but mixed with karaoke and otc meetup. It’s very popular in New York and LA.

Supply and demand (i.e. quantity), really, in combination with consumer preferences (i.e. quality or culture). The anonymity factor, as mentioned previously, is also important.

If girls are far more accessible in one of two large cities, it is likely because whatever you offer (particular looks, personality, wealth, race, nationality, etc.) is more sought after (consumer preference) there and/or that there is a higher demand for or lower supply of it.

I suspect in Seoul, for example, social proof and status are a strong consumer preference, which makes it relatively difficult for outsiders to do well.

People who are drawn to the biggest of the big cities tend to be dopamine junkies. They don't like the boring parts/serious parts of the relationships, so they bounce from person-to-person, either for purely sexual purposes or they're "in love with being in love". Options are part of it too.

They require a lot more stimulus than a normal woman does. Boredom physiologically terrifies them.
It's also why their marriages rarely work out. Don't ask me how I know.

Seoul has an incredible amount of soft and hard prostitution, it's just not at all noticeable to the average guy. The whole "booking" thing in clubs, the whisky bars, and Kareoke club thing is extremely popular. So many women get involved with this sub economy on many level. It's sluttiness but in a discreet and socially acceptable way.

In NYC and Chicago in particular another reason is that women are there temporarily to work hard and party hard in their 20's and early 30's. They aren't there to have a balanced life with a cushy 40hr a week job and steady relationship. They go to smaller, cheaper, more laid back cities or suburbs for that. Most of them moved for a chance to advance their careers quickly and then maximize pleasure in their limited free time by living the sex and the city lifestyle.

Minneapolis is actually not that prudish from what this thread is making it sound like, I've met my fair share of girls who were ready to get down there. If anything, the award for prudish women goes to a lot of southern cities where people are gungho about their religion and putting on that facade. I doubt it has to do with size of the city alone, here is what I have found to be the case.

1. Social judgment and how tight knit cliques are in the city.

If social judgment is strict and everyone is always in someone else's business, it absolutely destroys hookup culture. I actually think most college towns suck for this reason, unless you are a part of the in crowd, it is very slim pickings. Even if she is attracted to you, you are getting passed up for uglier guys who just happen to have status and popularity working in their favor. In these cases, girls will only bang certain guys they know from social circle instead of randomly sleeping around.

The most prudish city I have stayed in has to be Atlanta, used to wonder why that was too. Then after talking to local dudes and people that moved out of there, it was because of how tight knit the social circles in the city are and how social judgment runs really high. In many ways, it is a city that is culturally a small town which makes it horrible for most single men in their 20s.

2. Gender ratios, the more in favor of women they are, the less slutty the city is.

If it is 10 men to 1 woman, she is likely passing up tons and tons of men to get with the 1 out of a 1000 guy for the year. Part of this is the reason why everyone warns men to stay away from San Francisco, a female 4 has more power than a male 8 there. You need there to be more single women than single men in a given city.

3. Cultural vibe, the more religious and traditional, the tougher it is.

No doubt these girls fuck around but you have to be very discrete about it and better hope no one finds out, or else the social status that these girls have is toast.
