Was going to include this as part of the NZ shooting thread, but I think Waleed deserves a thread of his own

Waleed Aly (notorious left leaning dishonest and toxic/evil Australian journalist and media personality) came out recently and said 'let me share with you a manifesto of an apparent perpetrator of the attack' - referring to the Christchurch Mosque shootings attack, and inferring the Australian government and Australian Prime Minister (Scott Morrison) was the 'perpetrator'

He then switches after reading the excerpts and says that they weren't from the manifesto, but from a letterhead from Australian parliament (so, really, inferring the Australian parliament's letterhead is comparable to the manifesto and extremism)

Imagine if a member of the 'right' tried to call out a left leaning Prime Minister/President or government in power for a terrorism attack outright on national TV. They would be put in jail and branded an extremist (not to mention removed from all online platforms and put out of work)

Also, isn't singling out a government in power or a person an example of dividing people and creating hatred (the exact opposite of what he preaches in the video and what the left preaches overall - which is group think and 'let's come together as one and not say anything bad about each other'). They want to play both sides of the fence when it suits them depending on the situation, and whether it supports whatever their personal and group agendas are.

It's getting more apparent how bold the left is becoming in coming out and outright trying to destroy rational debate and traditional type thinkers (like many have said before - it's all about money and power to them). You can see from this video as an example - it's done in the worst way possible - they deceive and play on the emotions and lack of independent thinking that the mainstream has to get them on their side and make rational thinkers look like the bad guy.

File this one under another example of wizard tricks by the social justice mob which is becoming more and more desperate and unhealthy/tyrannical by the day (it's also a sign of where Australia is at or beginning to head).

Listen to the music, observe the dimmed lighting. Does this seem like an honest attempt at journalism to you? Bosch did well to point out the 'shivering kitten crying in the rain'.

He's clearly making hay while the sun is shining. I've seen him regularly use sophistry to push a progressive agenda and today is no different.

I'm against what the attacker did, but I'm also against those that have used this time not to mourn, but to strike at their political enemies.

I didn't see his tears or hear his voice crack when the Sydney cafe attacks happened:

Only rarely do they associate themselves with the symbolic power of a global militant movement. At no point in the history of our species have such human satellites, living beyond the margins of even the most marginal groups, had the power to do so: the power to become so much more than they are simply by attaching themselves to a symbol from another continent. And right now, there is no symbol more potent and available than that of Islamic terrorism.

So, Michael Zehaf-Bibeau and Martin Rouleau Couture in Canada. Zale Thompson in New York. Now Monis at Martin Place. We’re seeing this more now: troubled (often criminal) histories, possible mental illness, religious conversion, violence. Monis apparently converted to Sunni Islam only recently, perhaps because you can’t really claim to love IS when you’re a Shiite and they’re trying to exterminate you. Islam has such permeable borders, such an absence of hierarchy, that anyone can become anything in their own mind. Its symbols are available to anyone who wants to claim them and there is nothing anyone can do to stop them. Australian Muslims had been disowning Monis for at least seven years. They’d even expressed their concerns to the authorities. But how can you stop the “fake sheikh” being real to himself?

There’s no control order regime to account for this. There’s no metadata inside an apparently deranged mind. We’re busy fretting about the terrorists’ tools of the future – which is all fair enough – while they wreak havoc with the tools of the past. Think about what we’ve seen lately, from Australia to North America: a knife, an axe, a couple of guns, even a car. Perhaps the most profound aspect of our age is that the power to inflict carnage is now shared with the small to the invisible to the otherwise insignificant. Man Haron Monis was so insignificant, hardly anyone knew him; so insignificant the system overlooked him. And now he’s history.

But there’s another history to be written here. One that is very much in control. It’s a history written not just in the statements of leaders, but in the minutiae of our everyday interactions. It’s the history we glimpsed as the siege unfolded when a single, humble Australian decided to declare #illridewithyou in solidarity with Muslims too scared to ride public transport. It’s a history that commenced with the interfaith vigil held at the Lakemba and Auburn mosques. And it’s a history to be determined by what we decide this tragedy symbolises: the sordid ideology of a man who deserves to be forgotten or the greatest virtues of those of us left behind.

He said the Lindt cafe gunman orchestrated a crude and solitary attack. " There’s every reason to suspect we’re dealing with someone deranged". A man who had pledged allegiance to ISIS. Where is Waleed's nuanced consideration now?

I'm against any sort of terrorism, but Waleed's difference in attitude is striking. Praising the sitting PM for his understanding in one instance, and character assassinating him in the next.

Completely agree that obviously shooting was horrific and obviously violence is not the answer

But, these uncomfortable (for the mainstream) conversations about mixing values and religions and immigration are becoming something that won't be able to be ignored forever

I agree we as a society need to have these conversations in the public square. However Waleed and his like have been actively slandering anyone who speaks their concerns about the ability of islamists to integrate into western society. It's ironic because at the end of his 'I'm scared' Project speech he had this to say:

Waleed Aly Wrote:“We are one community,” he added. “Everything we say to try to tear people apart, demonize particular groups, set them against each other, that all has consequences, even if we’re not the ones with our fingers on the trigger.”

What groups has he demonized? How would isolating, de-platforming and suppressing the speech of certain groups make them believe that action is the only path left to them?

Changes his narrative to suit his own personal agenda, and the agenda of whoever backs him financially/pays his salary, but fools his audience into thinking it's their best interests he's looking out for and he's looking to 'bring the community together'

It's as weak and soulless as it gets

While some of these people know they are pushing an agenda and selling out for money and security and status, I really do think that some are such a product of the system (through brainwashing and social conditioning), that they truly believe that doing the orders of their master (whoever pays them) is the truthful and honorable path

Interesting development...

The Daily Telegraph has come out and said Waleed is a propagandist and not a journalist.

Excerpt - "THERE’S NO ‘HARMONY’ IN WALEED’S SANCTIMONIOUS SERMONS... When it comes to the hateful ideology of Islamism or its mirror, white supremacy, Waleed Aly’s track record shouldn’t afford him moral high ground, writes Miranda Devine. His attack on Scott Morrison was hypocritical and biased."

Didn't expect that from one of Sydney's biggest online media outlets - maybe they are owned by the Liberals.

Either way, it's good at least one mainstream publication said it.
