Strange article from SLATE about a new "boyish" porn star who has women in thrall:

Observations:
1) The author uses the word "homophobic" at least three times in a short article about the porn industry. His LinkedIn profile list drag performances as an interest. Draw your own conclusions.

2)The comments are half-way decent for an online site which plays to the SWPL crowd.

This comes across as being a bit overthought - it's psycho-babble. Porn producers want men that can perform, period. They want a guy that has a big dick, can get hard on command, stay hard, and bust on command. He has to be able to do it under hot lights with people watching. Since you're going to be on camera, you want to be as buff as possible. Porn is made for men, and men want to see a chick taking the dick. I don't really care what the dude looks like, because the focus is on his dick going in and out of her. And face it...this isn't a career a whole lot of guys sign up for. I've never heard of the business being "homophobic," because there is a whole genre of gay porn. I've watched my fair share of this stuff, and some of the veterans in the business aren't buff, nor are they fat and hairy like Ron Jeremy. Women producers/directors are making movies more for the tastes of women also. But to say this guy is threatening to men is a bit much. If he can fuck and blast on chicks, guys won't mind watching his movies, because it's really more about the chicks he's banging than it is about him. This comes across as another woman trying to challenge men's egos and sexuality. She's reaching.

What I was trying to point out: a lot of what you read about modern Porn from the MSM is written by women, or, in this case, gay men. It's so painfully obvious the article was written by a gay man.

I just read some of the comments.

Ironically, the dude apparently is one of the biggest BDSM and rough sex pornstars in mainstream porn. He is not fucking the women, he is beating the shit out of them and fucking them in the most degrading manner possible.

Treat them mean, keep them keen.
