I'm talking about the ones that have relocated here. I've been to about 4 Brazilian parties or so in the US. While the people are generally friendly, they don't seem to want to mingle much with non-Brazilians. I find it difficult to maintain conversation with them. I brought a friend of mine to a Brazilian party before and he observed the same. He finds Brazilian women attractive, but he just doesn't "get" them. I usually just end up talking to other Americans.

Brazilians in America in my observation seem to act a lot like what you guys say of attractive Colombians in Columbia. They tend to hang in mixed sets that are hard to penetrate if you aren't in their social circle. They seem to only want to hang with other Brazilians. I'll observe the scene and I don't see much mingling going on between Brazilians and non-Brazilians. Whenever a girl is with a boyfriend, it's another Brazilian guy because they are just speaking Portuguese to each other. I guess they are just very much into their own culture. I would say that many of these Brazilians would probably be considered Patricinhas if they were back home, so maybe that has something to do with it. There's just a world of difference in openness between talking to a Patricinha that lives here, versus a British, Australian or some other type of Anglo girl that lives here.

Maybe you guys have observed otherwise?

It's funny I have some friends in Sao Paulo and when they went abroad to study ESL mostly in Australia they basically only hung out with other Brazilians. My ex girlfriend's friend met her boyfriend in Australia and she is from Sao Paulo and he is from Sao Jose in the south of Brazil.

Another one of her friends actually is married to a Brazilian dude she met in Australia. Also I went to Riviera in Sao Paulo for New Years with her and her friends and this one guy who spent almost 2 years in Australia and he couldn't even speak English that well. The reason why is because he never used English there because he was just hanging out with fellow Brazilians.

Goes with most other cultures,, they tend to be drawn to their "own kind" when abroad. I ran into a few Brazilian chicks who were studying ESL and saw them on "college street" (its a cool neighbourhood with a few bars, clubs, and restaurants (called little italy, and has a lot of portuguese and brazilian hangouts).

Imho, for them to improve English, they should hang with the natives wouldn't you think. But, we are dealing here with women who are not logical thinkers.

Come down to the East coast, and you'll find that is not the case, but the opposite. I have an EXTREMELY hard time fucking patricinhas in Brazil, in Miami & Orlando they can't get off me if were to beat them with a baseball bat!

I have no idea why this is so, it's just always been that way for the past 2 decades for me when trying to bang Brazilians in Miami, but have terrible numbers when I travel to Brazil for the same quality of girls.

Simple Mixx, DHV. In Miami you have it and in Brazil not as much. That is why those power suits and the fake job interviews in Brasilia served you so well. Like all of us, the patricinhas have to adapt when outside their natural habitat.

They're not close to as bad as Argis. In Aspen they seemed to mingle with lots of other people, but for the most part only lived with other Brazilians and sometimes argis.

So weird, I haven't found that to be the case. But then again I haven't met many Brazilians in Miami. But when I'd meet them in Aspen, they weren't really much easier to bang. Where the hell do I find nice Brazilian girls in Miami?!?! A couple weeks ago I met one at a restaurant. She told me, "Volta ai amanha" (Come back tomorrow). I told her "Pode ser" (Basically means maybe/ could be) I never showed up, obviously I'm not gonna come back to see her the next day. I went back a week later, girl wasn't working. Went back a week after that, a new girl was working, looks like the girl may have quit or gotten fired.

Somewhat. Usually they'll have a group of whit American Brazilaphiles as groupies. I've observed this in college. I used to hang around them too because I spoke fluent portuguese from having studied in brazil for a semester, so they accepted me into the group, but I made it a point to distinguish myself culturally. However I would still get comments like "uau, voce e' mais brasileiro do que a gente/ wow, you're more brazilian than us". -No thank you

By the way, do not speak Portuguese with them, it is DLV. Make them work hard to speak your language, not the other way around. The harder they have to work for your attention, the faster attraction builds...seriously.

I actually went out and carefully studied this fact. When I pretended I did not speak Portuguese, I banged 100% of the girls I set out to fuck, when I made a noble effort to speak Portuguese at a conversational level, making it easy for them to speak, i would get flakes and bullshit all the time.

Cool thanks for the info. I haven't made it to boteco yet, I hear good things. Some Brazilian bartenders last night invited us to a place around 70th for feijoada, unfortunately I overslept due to excessive partying last night. One of the girls had a boyfriend, the other wasn't that cute but I wanted to check it out, could have been some other cuties there. Last night, the only Brazilian girl I know out here (Not really cute, not banging her) had a friend out from Brazil that didn't speak english. At the end of the night the bar closed, we went and asked for a corona, they said they were closed. I turned to the brazilian kid and said, "elas estao fechadas." The Brazilian girls behind the bar heard it and decided since my friend was brazilian they would change their minds and hook us up. They thought I was brazilian as well until I told them otherwise.

I'd like to make it out to boteco, but we'll see how it goes, I might have just picked up another job, good chance I'll be working. I'll keep you posted though. Thanks for the invite.

Just throwing this out there....

Some "Brazilamericans" are cliquish, but I have noticed how one mentions Brazil to them can affect their perception of you. When I was "green" and mentioned Carnival (real touristy, right?), they may think you are some American who basically go to Copacabana and bang chicks all day. If the Brazilian is from say Salvador, don't just mention Rio or Sao Paulo because you may get into some cultural resentment (more african in Salvador, more "euro" in Rio, etc).

If your travels seem genuine and you know some of the non-commercialized culture, then the "Brazilamericans" will warm up to you more (from my experience).

Having said all of that....my "success record" with Brazilians in Salvador is MUCH better than with "Brazilamericans", LOL.
