I feel like this time we're living through is probably one of the most interesting and significant in human history. To look at the all the changes that have happened in the last 50 years alone makes me real glad that the chances are that I'll be around to see what happens in the next 4 or 5 decades.

OK, so everyone seems to be assuming that they would be born in the right circumstances, but what happens when you take away that assumption. Being an Egyptian pharaoh or a Roman Senator or an English Lord might have been pretty cool, but chances are more likely you'd be a laborer on the pyramids or a galley slave or a potato-farming serf.

What I'm trying to get at is: what are the societies that have the most potential for a quality life, including those born into humble circumstances?

I don't want to be an Egyptian pharaoh , just a vizier, herding pussy. It is true though, that mankind lives longer together and have better quality of life, but with so much pussy available, I don't think I will miss it.
