Bergen Norway - Any advice, tips, recommendations?
Just wondering if anyone has any advice on Bergen in Norway.

Going to be staying with relatives there for 2 weeks in April and was looking for any tips on places to go for women. Bars, cafes, clubs etc....

Should i try hooking someone up online beforehand?

Is there any difference in attitudes between girls from Oslo and Bergen if anyone has had any experience to compare between the 2 cities?

Hardly any difference in attitudes.
If you tell a little bit more on what age you will be hitting at and what kind of clubs you prefer,it will be easier to give you some tips.

On general you should have huge chances of sucsess. Tuesday and Thursday you will rely on the students for night game. On Friday and Saturday you will have good options all over the city.

Thanks Snok - Well i`m in my early 40`s - but very toned and in excellent condition so should be able to pass for 35 yo Smile
I guess my main age group in women is in the 30 plus range.
I`m not into dance clubs but prefer more the kinda hangout, bar and pub type places.
Any advice would be great!
Thanks in advance

I have been to Oslo and that was a lot of fun, didn't seem to have the attitude like alot of other capitals you go too.
Bergen should be alot easier to manage (see -Roosh reports on 2nd tier and 3rd tier cities) looks like it is a bit of both.
Norwegian girls are pretty cool and DTF, also you are a foreigner from a exotic place like Australia (i assume by your name).
I would maybe pipeline a month before your trip and you should be more than good, the only negative is the place can be expensive.

Thanks Rudebwoy.
Yeah i have been to Oslo before and know what the prices are like! I`m not much of a drinker so that side of things doesn`t bother me too much.
I will be staying with a cousin on mine who now lives in Bergen, so that should cut down costs considerably but downside is i wont be able to bring any girls back to the place i am staying. But can`t have everything i guess.
I do know a bit of Norwegian so that should help a bit, and hopefully my Aussie accent should help also.
Any online sites that you can recommend to pipeline and hook up with women?

I went awhile back and was using Myspace at the time, I guess Facebook would be a good start but that can be challenging. I would hit all the main sites (hi5, okcupid, tagged etc). Couchsurfing could also work to set up casual meet-ups.
From your cousin find out what bars/clubs are good in the city and maybe work from there, may take some investigating.
I would not worry about it too much, i found these girls to be very receptive if they like you.
The Aussie accent should work for you and most of them speak english.
On a side note, please do not take this the wrong way - I hope you don't dress like the typical Oz dude with sandals, ripped jeans and a t-shirt. As you know Scandi's tend to have a bit of style.

Haha no problems there with the dress sense man - definitely have a bit of style about myself. But yeah i know what you mean about the typical OZ dude traveling abroad.
Will have to ask my cousin and her husband what places are good to checkout etc but i tend to work best as a lone wolf, if you get what i mean.
I`ll try Tagged and Okcupid and see how things go....just need a few hookups to keep me busy while i am there.

I`m not into dance clubs but prefer more the kinda hangout, bar and pub type places.

There are a coupple of places you always can rely on. They are at least half full, when most places are closed.
Garage - Legendary rock-club hangout. No music from latest charts, cool people, low/none excisting bitch shield.
Metro Dance club.

On Thursdays to Saturdays you have lots of options.
Contrabar - Huge chance of hooking up.
Boca - At it best perfect, but often a tad to quiet.
Felize - Wannabe hipster dance club. Same woman as elswere, but more dressed up.
Landmark - hipster hang out. Very cool. Kind of a hidden gem.
Finnagans - Irish pub, nice place to make friends.

All the places listed are located 3-5 minutes walk from each other. There is also clubs/bars/pubs located in the other part of the city, but they are usually filled up with people who go out once or twice every month, drink much and behave poorly.

GL!

Depends what you are looking for...

I'd say Bergen is worth a visit only in the late Spring.
The best time to visit is around 17th of May (Norway's national day), which is the only time when everyone is out partying.

RE: Bergen Norway - Any advice, tips, recommendations?
I lived there for a while, very recently. Not the easiest thing to do, penetrating the social circles there. One of the things I remember observing is that the girls usually went out in groups and it was not easy to infiltrate, but then again I was not single at the time so I was not pursing it with much dedication. Overall, if you like hiking up and down mountains, then yes I would recommend it for max 2 or 3 days. If you are not the type to go hiking in the mountains then I´d so go somewhere else. Also it´s very expensive, people turn up late downtown and clubs close very early, 02:30. Doormen are not the sharpest tools in the shed, might even reject you for being too drunk even if you have not had a drop.

This is the kind of info I was looking for.
Do any particular venues stand out in the city to run game?
Any bar or club recommendation? I've heard its a university town so I was hoping there would be hard drinking college girls out.

RE: Bergen Norway - Any advice, tips, recommendations?
I can recomend three places if you are looking for student chicks and younger crowd in general:
1) Heidi's Bier Bar
2) Det Akademiske Kvarter - parties hosted by students. Exams in Norway start in June, so May is the month for parties.
3) Elefanten (don't let the name fool you)

For electronic music:
1) Østre - my favourite place in Bergen by far. Not really a student place but a great game venue. Strongly recomended.
2) Dwell - relatively new club. Not as good, but similar to Østre.
3) Landamrk - still exists, still a hipster hangout. A good warm up place.

Bars to avoid at all cost are Finnegans, Apollon and Folk og Røvere. Sausage fest every night.

Last clubs to mention are Ricks and Kok. I hate those places, but they are always crowded, so might be worth a visit.
