Alright if no one is going to mention the bad stuff then I guess I'll have to

1. Ephedra - Diet pills with ephedra work extremely well at burning fat in short periods of time. So well that they banned them for a while. You may still be able get some variant out there or mail order from out of the country.

2. Water Pills - Water pills are diuretics and cause you to shed water weight quickly. Body builders use them a week before they're big tan oily posedowns. Still legal and over the counter.

3. Steroids - Holy crap I never lost weight as fast as when I was using Androstenedione. It's a testosterone booster. Actually it's a precursor that gets converted to testosterone in your liver. You'll be eating like a horse, pulling massive weights like an ox and shitting 5 times a day like your mouth was connected directly to your asshole. It used to be over the counter until Mark McGwire went and fucked it up for everyone. I've never felt better and more charged up in my life than when I was lifting hard on Andro.

4. Cocaine - Good old fashioned Colombian powdered exercise. Why do you think strippers look so good and skinny all the time? Bang a few rails of blow a day for 8 weeks and you'll see results.

Yeah Martin has done a lot of work debunking both that eating breakfast is essential and that eating late will make you fat. His entire system kind of lynchpins on disproving both.

I've never really played with what I eat at night as I'm in a "beggers cant be choosers" situation most of the time, eating what I get free from work.

At work, however, I get a full run of what I can eat for lunch, which is 2 hours before I workout. I know for sure the days I would eat fish or chicken I would start to get hungry halfway through my workout, vs the days I would eat beef I would stay full all the way through the workout.

Making brash assumptions

I'm actually on an IF program where I skip dinner and fast from roughly 2pm to 8am.

And an assumption that I cant get good food from work is a bit brazen as well. I work in a high end catering company, I've got 5 pounds of roasted chicken quarters in my fridge I snagged from work today as well as some stewed okra and steamed broccoli.

I can go buy food but why buy what I can get for free?

Hehe well some mentions method to loose fat fast but, at the end you have to perform for your run .
First you need muscle . Muscle burn fat faster . What I want to say is if you just jug you won't loose that much and you will loose muscle over fat . Crossfit and interval sprint could be good . You need to drink a lot and you will need to swet . Do your work out in sweatshirt inside . Outside with a swetsuit .Eat well and often . Don't skip a meal . Your body will react in keeping your next one in your belly . Green tea up your metabolism and help to burn fat . Workout During the day it's good too , it help to burn more calories . Sauna are a good thing to . Swimming,sauna,swimming,sauna ....many time will be good for you . When your metabolism is activated you swet more .

So first thing to know is that only one person got it close and that was when ephedrine was mentioned, stay away from coke as it is expensive and will destroy your muscle tissue. You need to know first why you are fat before you try anything. If you are fat becasue of eating too much shit and not enough training then its easy to fix, just train more and eat meat and vegetables and carb up depending on your workout days. If you are fat becuase genetically you are fat then get ready for pain starvation and ALOT of drugs think Ephedrine Caffene Cytomel T3, trenbolone and GH.

I'm trying to lose weight too. And so far I'm being good about keeping track of my daily calorie intake and eating good foods, but I can't help but go out and have a few drinks 2-3 nights a week.

Lose fat, not weight (which will include muscle mass and water). Track skinfold BF%, not lbs on the scale

Eat Paleo diet, coconut oil to stave off brain fog, Daily calorie deficit of 500-1000, strength training 2x week, sprints or kettlebells/tabatas 2x week. Carbs only after workouts, and even then only a sweet potato / small portion of rice.

If you're serious about fasting, don't half ass it. Do a water-only fast. Juice fasting encourages more muscle loss than water fasting. Severe calorie restriction (as opposed to absolute calorie restriction) will kick the body in and out of ketosis, which is the process of using fats as energy in the absence of input calories. The switch over is confusing and cannibalizing of muscle tissue is highest during these transition periods.

I feel great if I do a 5-7 day fast. My strength doesn't decrease. Only warning is even though you drop a bunch of weight, if you're not very careful about your post-fast eating habits, you will gain it back rapidly (as the metabolism is a bit slower for a few weeks).

Its not an ideal weight loss solution, but it definitely allows cleansing on a whole different plane way more powerful than juice fasting. It is also a superb self-control technique. Its amazing what the body can do. Be forewarned however, its not easy by any stretch of the imagination.

Theoretically a coconut oil fast might be just as good. Because it converts to ketones you'll still be in full ketosis the whole time, just with less of a calorie deficit so perhaps less muscle wasted. And you'll get the detox benefits because you're still reducing your protein intake to zero, so your cells still reach the same level of autophagy (e.g. "cleaning the crap out"). I dunno how much pure coconut oil a man can take without any other food though, lol.

I believe within the time frame of 24-72 hours the most muscle tissue is used, 2-3 ounces. Every day afterward the body uses approx. 0.5-1 ounces of muscle as a few bodily functions need amino acids (though everything else runs just fine on fat stores). Worst case scenario on a 7 day fast is half a pound (8 ounces) of muscle tissue, which is not noticeable. A juice fast can result in a perpetual 2-3 ounces a day, as the body is confused whether to switch to ketosis or not.

Nice, makes alot of sense. Cool to hear that the muscle loss isnt appreciable. I'm still trying to uproot all the bodybuilding myths that have sunk into my brain over the years ("eat every 2 hours or you'll waste muscle!!!") Juice fasting always struck me as deranged too, especially when people do it as a cancer treatment. Seems to me it's about the best way to feed the cancer and ruin the rest of your body!

I saw an amazing body tranformation yesterday. A guy that I work with lost about 30 pounds. Its not just the weight he lost, its the changes he made to his body. He went from soft to hard.

He used to drink alot, drink alot of soda, eat alot of fast food. He was chubby.

Well, now he is fucking ripped. I mean ripped. I was blown away. I asked him how he did it.

He said it was all diet.

Here is a sample of his diet.

8am - Oatmeal with berries and honey.
10am - 5 egg whites, avocado, corn tortillas
1pm - Grilled chicken salad
5pm - Grilled fish, brown rice, salad
8pm - Fruit

Next Day

8am - Smoothie of banana, almond butter, oatmeal, milk
10am - Egg whites with black beans and tomato
1pm - Grilled chicken with brown rice and yams
5pm - Steak and salad
8pm - vegetable juice

Almost everthing organic, nothing processed, no added sugars, very little booze.

This motherfucker went from having a beer gut to having a tight six pack!

Amazing.

His exercise was just alot of push ups, pulls ups, dips, and squats.

What have you guys done to lose body fat while still getting decent gains in the gym? I'm doing stronglifts right now, my working weight with squats is 250, deadlifts 275 rows/bench 140 and ohp 90. I want to keep getting decent gains. I'm 6'2 225lbs with a bf of ~22% I want to get down to at least 200lbs and ~18%bf by the end of april. I was thinking of eating 2500 cals on workout days and 2000 on the rest of the days keeping my protein/fats high and my carbs nearly nonexistent. I'm also going to do cardio after my lifting. I'm afraid that my gains wont be as much or I won't have enough energy to get through the workout. Any suggestions/thoughts?

i know what your trying to say but here is the reality of it bro

you cannot gain muscle tissue when you are in a caloric deficit (unless your on anabolics,which i doubt,like most of us).
You CAN keep most of your gains by lifting heavy and keeping calories sufficient for muscle maintenance.find out what your BMR is and only reduce calories by about 20%.dont go into starvation mode,you'l lose so much muscle by doing that.

Also keep lifting heavy.biggest noob mistake i see is dudes lifting heavy,then when they start dieting they think they should train lighter with higher reps.DONT. how did your muscles get to the size they are now? = heavy lifting.if you start to train light your muscles will recognize this and realise it doe'snt have to retain all this mass,then you end up getting smaller!!.

id recommend doing cardio on an empty stomach in the morning first thing,insulin levels are the lowest then,so fat stores are used for energy,and by cardio i mean walking on a treadmill for 30 mins etc.

track your calories for the day,keep carbs around by your PM workout.easy man.rome wasnt built in a day,so be patient.
